It was late at night as Gen boarded the train along with everyone else being assured in by one of the train workers who blew on a whistle and did various hand gestures with his white gloved hands. Gen hated the sound of the whistle it stung his ears so he was glad to board the train to get away from it. The Tengu got less odd looks than usual this deep in the grand-line seeing as oddities where more common around these parts.
Regardless Gen made his way into a lit up the cabin with various chairs and tables aligned along the walls. He took a window seat and stared out. The water was calm and the moon was wide up in the sky shining its cool light onto the sea. Finally! I am on board and leaving San Faldo! The island had been a disappointment to Gen. Sure all the constant carnival attractions are entertaining with their colors and postive environment. But, oddly enough on the days Gen had visited there was a lack of criminal life... he had heard on those days that there had been a series of murders. Regarding a faceless man who would turn people's corpses into works of art. Quite literally that was. However, upon pouring water on the bodies the illusion would disappear and the bodies would return to their normal state. Revealing the grotesque image that was the body of a recently assisnated.
Gen had not seen such a thing, nor did he think he wanted to. But the thing was... despite being ever-illusive the man had been assigned a bounty of 17 million as well as a government-issued epithet which actually served as his name for the poster: "Vandal". Not much was known about him save for the fact he had a massive body count and San Faldo hadn't been the only place where he'd enacted his atrocities. All cities connected by the sea train had been hit... even so, while Gen was on the island things had been silent. In fact he had been to every island and had no luck! No clues and no signs of the Vandal could be found. Thats why he was mobilizing to Water 7 the first island he had visited. He wanted to stay on the same route he had been earlier before he moved on. Although before leaving... he would probably test his luck there once more... 17 million Beri... for stopping some creep? Sure thing! Gen didn't even need the bounty. He wanted to put this man's sick games to an end even if it drove him mad. Gen sighed deeply still looking at the window outside.
PREP
A water drop fell onto his window and soon the silver light of the moon was shrouded by clouds. The outside was devoid of natural light, Gen narrowed his eyes. What a nuisance that was... unlike the sunlight he enjoyed moonlight it was cool and gentle what a pity he wouldn't be able to enjoy it due to rain. That's when he felt something bump into his table a little. The startled Gen turned around to check what was going on. It was a young lady dressed in the train worker's uniform she was pushing a cart and it seemed like it got stuck in the carpet bumping into a Gen. A mistake was all... Gen looked at the woman for a moment until she spoke.
"Sorry, sir! Umm, what you like anything? Some refreshments?"
She asked, clearly sorry for accidentally bumping into the man. Gen didn't care accidents happened especially on moving trains like these. The Tengu stared at the cart for one moment noticing some liquor options on the bottom.
"I think I'll have a beer."
Gen pointed at the beer bottles sitting on white square-shaped ice cubes. The woman nodded at his request and picked the beer up handing it to Gen. Immediately he opened the bottle cap with his teeth something that took the woman off guard as she was trying to find the bottle opener.
"Oh... well, enjoy your drink!"
She waved goodbye as she moved on to the next passenger. Gen waved at her as he began to chug the cold drink. The taste of alcohol washing the dry patches in his throat. Damned carpet gave him allergies!
