0100 hours.
After the initial meeting, Alec left Isaac behind, but not before informing him that they would spend the next day together. That following day (the second day in Isaac's schedule) had come and passed since Alec had decided to bring Isaac/Levi into the fold. He couldn't quite explain it, but he had a good feeling about the successful "Fairy Dust" pusher. Trust, however, had to be earned. And so, Alec had spent the day observing Isaac as he continued to sell the opiate, questioning and testing his knowledge the entire day, either to catch him a trap (as the scrawny boy was skeptical that an enforcer would just "switch sides") or to see if the one eyed man did in fact have the type of information or knowledge he could make use of.
"Well Levi, why leave Ricardo up north and the enforcers at all?" The question was quite valid. The enforcers seemed to be the more respected of the two different factions of the Red Sparrow government. They were the muscle, the brawn, the physical might and incarnation of the Hideki family. They commanded fear which in turn demanded respect which was easily bargained for power among the citizens and even of those in the organization. Alec himself never had the physicality or the tact of a fighter and so that route was never open to him; it was in fact a great source of shame to be part of the Hideki clan and lack his father's great strength. And while brains and intellect were certainly valued, lacking the power and ability to impose one's will was something that had caused the patron to overlook his eleventh son.
"Easy," chuckled the Marine who was going by the synonym of Levi as he rubbed his thumb, index, and middle finger together, "you play your cards right, there's a lot more money to be made as a "Juggler." And while that answer may have sufficed on the surface, Isaac made sure to follow the answer with a second, always playing into Alec's perceived ego. As he leaned in towards Alec with a half cocked smile on his face, Isaac spoke in a more hushed town as if he was worried of who might hear it, "Besides, Kory's boys are all a bunch of meatheads. "Jugglers" have to think, its much more interesting. It's more difficult".
Continuing along his assigned "patrol," Alec took a hard left turn just a mile before the large skyscraper, ushering Isaac into a one of the few well maintained residences in the city. The building stood in such a stark contrast to the mood of the rest of Bupae Island that it took Isaac a second or two to adjust. The building was a three story villa, a yellow sunset paint washed over the walls in a way that almost made the home inviting, almost warm. Large arches swept over the doorways, bright lights lining the hallways that led into a large open space that served as a living space.
"Phewww, look at that." Letting out a high whistle, Isaac openly admired the wealthy villa, trying to make the "Juggler" supervisor feel as what he had obtained was something to be envied; the trick was to make him think that he was still on the bottom of the totem pole when compared to Kory though, to keep him wanting for more, to keep him hungry. "Not bad, huh. She's all mine." "Ya, pretty nice guest home. Same size as the one boss man gave Kory. Must be nice to have a second home to get away to."
With the bait thrown out in the water, Alec had a visible frown, his brows furling in anger at the thought that he had worked hard to build this villa for himself while his brother had simply been given one by their father. Fists clenched by his side, shaking, the boy's face became flush with anger. "Fuck you. I built this myself, I didn't get a handy me down from daddy." Shrugging, Isaac decided to push the spindly boy a little further. After all, they were currently alone in his home and did not fear the boy lashing out in violence. "Hey, hey. No disrespect, just an observation. That should be you anyways, Kory's a complete meathead compared to you, ya know?" "Fuck Kory." Almost as if he was expecting a response from Isaac, Alec simply looked at his "new friend." Isaac, in turn, simply shrugged as if to say, so what are you going to do about it?
Remembering what Pluto said about his role being to disrupt the Red Sparrows from the outside by posing as a part of the revolutionary island, Isaac believed he had aligned himself with Alec, the young boy being so eager to make a name for himself that he seemed willing to any idea to climb the ladder of power. Waiting for the eleventh son to look away momentarily, Isaac took a quick glance at his watch. It was well into the early morning of the second day. He would have to break away soon to meet with the rest of the group. But first, he needed some substantial information to bring back.
"What if I told you someone else is going after Kory? Something you'd be interested in?"
It was now 0345 hours, the dusk still holding a warm hue over the island. Isaac had arrived a the "Trocadero" about fifteen minutes ago. But, ever careful and a planner, the former Marine spent time to first watch the rustic bar to ensure that their makeshift base of operations had not been compromised. The bar was quiet and Isaac was sure that no one was inside, not even Pluto, Ara, and Rebecca. Though he did not know what they had been doing for the last two days, but he had to trust that they had also had a successful operation and were, more importantly, safe. Entering the "Trocadero," Isaac sat, knowing all he could do was wait.{Spoiler}{OC Colors}Saifer - #007299
