Jan #1
For someone who didn't like unnecessary attention was the popularity of Jan's book double-edged sword. On one hand, the young man was a compulsive writer that loved when his work was recognized. On the other hand, the loner has hated all that unnecessary attention, he was receiving from random strangers because of his work. However this time it came in handy as it saved him from the very troublesome predicament.
As he decided that a change of scenery was needed to get more inspiration for his book, he left the cruiser that carried him across the waters of West Blue and boarded the ship, that took him into the Eas Blue.
On paper, it sounded like a great idea. East Blue was new, unknown territory for him. The place he never visited before. However, his plans took a rather unfortunate turn, when a pirate ship attacked them the second day of their journey. The crew of their ship fought valiantly, with his humble help, but in the end, they lost against the more numerous pirates. As someone who actively participated in the battle and took few lives with his own hands, Jan would probably be met with the final chapter of his story if not for the second in command of the crew who turned out to be his fan.
Fortunately, her influence over the crew was big enough to save him from their thirst for vengeance. Unfortunately, she was one of the creepy fans obsessed with their favorite author and so instead of releasing him or exchanging for a hefty ransom, the crazy woman decided to keep him around to be her personal writer.
Preposterous! As would his master say, however in the sorry state the battle left him, he couldn't put up any fight against her craziness.
However, that didn't mean he wasn't planning to do so. Successfully hiding the fact that his body was capable to heal itself much faster than normal, the young writer was planning his comeback while watching distanced island from the window of his cell.
