There was strain and effort for Rakka to stand up straight after his epic entrance, that was far harder on his knees than he thought it would be. Those comic books he had seen made it look so easy and consequence free. Oh well, his mere presence had shifted the battle into their favour so much that it was practically won already, all that was left now was some clean up.
“Hey! Do you mind just putting your hands up for me?” The young recruit asked as he finally stood up straight and locked his eyes on one pirate who was clinging to a railing for dear life as he was kicking his feet in every which direction to keep somewhat upright. It was quite comedic and reminded Rakka of his first few days with his fruit… ahh those were some good memories. Back before his mum had found out about his fruit ability where he had no skill in it whatsoever.
The pirate looked at Rakka with panic in his eyes, he was barely any older than Rakka it seemed. He forced on a look of steely determination as he pulled one arm free and slapped his side, patting it to try and find flintlock pistol that was holstered there. “No!” The pirate brat screamed as he managed to grasp the gun and pull it free shakily.
Rakka slowly slid forward on his oil and held his arms to the side and shook his head. “Whoa whoa! Let’s not get hasty here… If that sparks the oil then everyone on this boat goes up in flames… you included.” The marine explained calmly in the chaos that was going on around him, creating a bubble around the pair to not just save his own life and the life of the kid waving the gun around but everyone on the boat. “Okay?”
The young pirate looked at Rakka in the eyes and kept shakily holding the gun out at him, pointing it in a haphazard way to the man who intended no harm. “G-get away! I-I’ll shoot!” He called, his legs trying their best to not slip and slide out from beneath him as he did his best to impose his will on the Marine.
“Please, don’t.” Rakka spoke, he could probably easily knock this kid out with a punch but in the time, it would take him to get there he may have already shot… and that shot could spark the oil alight and that would mean he and everyone else on this ship were toast. “Come on, put it down and you save everyone’s lives… is that good?” He asked, slowly getting closer.
“You’ll execute me!” The boy shouted, his black hair falling in front of teary eyes, just as his finger slowly put some pressure onto the trigger, bringing the hammer back.
“I’ll make sure they don’t, okay?” Rakka asked as he placed his hand on the gun and placed a finger between the hammer and the firing charge. In a soft tug the gun came free and he pushed it over the edge of the ship to splash into the ocean behind them. The entire time he held a soft smile on his face and he commanded an air of calm. From his pocket a pair of hand cuffs came out and one was placed on the wrist that held the gun and the other on his own.
