▪︎ Curious. Jade is a whimsy figure being rather curious about the world around her. From an early age, she displayed great interest in the natural world and its functions. This drive and interest were further magnified by her adoptive father and his 'illness' as she refers to it. His constant state of pain has served as a catalyst for her interest in the field of biology. Any new creature or being she encounters she must ask questions about it and compile it into her journal. Perhaps someday she'll be able to find a creature whose biology can aid her Father's ailments. Her curiosity does not halt there... while her main field of study is biology all sciences interest her greatly and even things that aren't science. Truthfully, she has a love of learning.
▪︎ Determined. One of the cornerstones of Jade is her willpower, she does not give up easily. Even when the odds are stacked against her she pushes through to achieve her goal. Especially if it's a goal she is extremely passionate about it, her drive simply knows no bounds. Nothing, no one, not even all-powerful entities is allowed to stand in her way. She will fight tooth and nail to get what she believes is her right.
▪︎ Deceptive. Jade isn't always what she seems, she is two-faced. On the outside, she comes off as very stoic, cold, high-strung, and uncaring. But deep down she is a very emotional person who more often than not lets her emotions guide her in her decisions only to mask it as a 'logical' decision. The girl doesn't only lie to others, she lies to herself as well. She has become so attached to her outward personality that she actively believes that's the real her, despite being anything but the contrary.
▪︎ Amoral. Morality? Good? Bad? Law? Chaos? It's all stigmas imposed by society. The only laws that matter are those that are imposed by science. Nothing outside that realm matters because even good and bad are subjective. That is Jade's view of the world, she is amoral and simply doesn't care for law or chaos. For good or bad. To her none of that matters, all that matters is progress and how far we can get with nothing but our ingenuity. These ideals drive her to go to great lengths in her studies... if left unhinged... she could very easily become a monster.
▪︎ Cynical. Nobody cares, everyone's out there for their gain. That's Jade's belief, and to an extent, she isn't wrong because that's what she sees. Her father only really keeps her around because of what she has to offer. She is only allowed to roam free because of what she gives him. She is only allowed to continue because of her protection from society. The world operates on lies and deceit to achieve some utopian unachievable goal and everyone simply pretends to agree because that's the right thing. But the moment the law disappears they'll take apart society like rats. If anything the age of piracy is proof of this very sentiment.

Physical Appearance: Jade stands at five foot one and sports a lean figure appropriate for someone her age. Her skin is pale white like the snow, clear of blemishes and giving her a bit of a "porcelain look" almost making her look like a china doll. Her hair is very long, jet black, with an extremely thick texture. The hair is styled in a typical hime cut and goes up to about her waist. In contrast, her lips are red and luscious while her slender cat-like eyes are a bright blue color. Being half sky islander and originally being from the Synadri Kingdom her wings are black due to the smog produced by the highly volcanic environment. At a glance she looks like a rather normal sky person, one with gills which is perhaps an odd site... however underneath that young beautiful exterior, concealed beneath her lips is a rather unpleasant surprise. Vampiric fangs at a glance! But if you look farther you will see rows of sharp pointed teeth ready to leech onto someone and suck the life out of them. This of course is due to her lamprey Fishman ancestry.
Clothing: In terms of clothing Jade wears a "gothic victorian" style of clothing. She prefers to wear long black dresses with lavender or white frills. A pair of black high heel boots and a wide brimmed black hat decorated in lavender flowers. As well as pair of long white gloves that go up to her elbows. Jade loves carrying an umbrella around as well to protect her skin which is easily sunburnt, but also because she thinks umbrellas are cute.

Of course, the fruit comes with the weakness of fire which can burn the paper and water which weakens the paper turning it into clumps. The fruit like any other causes her to sink if submerged in water and also causes her to become weak to seastone.

Background
}▪︎ Early Life. Jade was born in the Synadri Kingdom, a sky island in the depths of New World. There she was born to one of the consorts of Emperor... a nameless girl at the time. Her mother a fishwoman, a rarity in this island was cast away by the Emperor at the request of the Empress, a consort like her was not allowed, children! So her punishment would be banishment. Then, Jade and her mother were out... cast into a world they hardly knew. Out into the most dangerous of Oceans. It didn't take long for such a defenseless duo to be taken advantage of them. A group of slavers were quick to get a hold of them and ship them off to Sabaody. At this point Jade was at least three years old... her memories of her mother even now being faint. Because from there on forth a strange odd man adopted her and from that point onward that man became her father figure. Gheata, a cipher pol agent purchased her. For what reason? Perpahs out of simple curiosity. Maybe that's why he fed her a Devil Fruit as one of his first 'gifts' to her. But if you asked Jade she would likely say it was out of good nature.
The rest of her early life involved her tutelage under the wing of Gheata, taken away to the West Blue. Her new adoptive Father taught her a lot of new things about science and the world. The young woman knowing no better simply accepted his world views without questioning. To her, Gheata was her life. A life of complete and utter blind devotion even from a young age. However, since her father was a Cipher Pol Agent he would go away for extended periods. Often leaving her in the care of babysitters. This made the young girl bitter, created a certain restrained air to her. She became reclusive.
During that time, however, she studied biology out of love and desire to make her father proud. His great interest in the biology of odd creatures and how they can be adapted into modern medicine fueled her interest. She wanted to help her father... it was an excuse to be ever closer to him. To always be with him.
▪︎ Present. About a year before the present her father had a terrible accident one which worried Jade sick. The man was desperately wanting to get surgery and yet no one wanted to work on him. Jade was upset, locking herself up in her room... the mere sight of her destroyed father was something she couldn't bear, and her inability to fix him hurt her the most. But it didn't take long for her father to find someone willing to do a shady operation. A successful one... when Jade got to see her father once more he was a changed man. With a multicolored eye and strange new legs. Jade was happy her father was finally in one piece again. However, he wasn't perfect. His transplants were being rejected and he had to take pain killers constantly otherwise the pain was unbearable.
This was something Jade felt could assist! With her biological expertise, she was determined to create a compendium of every creature or plant she ran into. Her father's expertise in transplanting could aid in his recovery! Perhaps she could discover something! Anything to control his pain permanently. To get rid of his dependency on pills. She would save her father. Even if it was the last thing she would do.
