<Boko Boko no Mi>
English Name:– Fizzy Fizzy Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Owned By:– Shimagure Dazo
Appearance:– The Boko Boko no Mi most closely resembles a bottle or vase, as its tubular shape gives one the impression that this could possibly be a bottle itself. What one would assume to be the top of the fruit is actually the bottom, as the stem can be found on the thicker part of the fruit. Instead of the typical swirl stem, this fruit features the less common leafage stem found on some fruits, giving reminiscence to a strawberry. However, there is only one leaf on this steam, with it being flat along the top of the fruit, and being extremely rigid. The fruit is brown in color, with the bottom being a light cream color. The skin of the fruit is covered in spirals that you’d find on most devil fruits, and the fruit itself is rather smooth to the touch.
If one were to bite into the fruit, they would immediately notice that the fruit itself is extremely juicy. Normally this would be great for any other fruit, but this being a devil fruit means that the consumer will get a mouthful of terrible tasting devil fruit juice. The flesh of the fruit itself is similar to any citrus fruit, with a pulpy interior, but there is a lack of seeds.
The fruit itself, as one would expect, tastes especially unpleasant. It has a strong taste of warm plastic and burnt hair, a mixture that one might find even more disgusting when taken in liquid form.
Ability:– The Boko Boko no Mi turns the user into a “Frothing Human”, giving them the ability to produce volatile bubbling foam from their body, and freely control it. This foam, which is similar to that of carbonated drinks, is produced from the user's body by means of shaking themselves up, and then releasing the pent up foam. The foam itself is a strong and chaotic substance, requiring a great deal of focus to control with precision.
The foam itself is white, and despite its normal looking nature, can be much more dangerous than regular soda fizz. The fizz that the user produces creates pressure when popped. These pops generate force that can push people or objects that it is applied to. The user may also choose to produce less dangerous, “normal foam” which despite not presenting any danger to the average person, can be used for trickery and facade.
The main strength of the Boko Boko no Mi comes in numbers. One foam bubble will not do much to the average person, other than quick discomfort. That quick discomfort becomes lasting pain when that one bubble is multiplied by a million. If the user manages to cover someone or something with enough foam, they run the risk of crushing the target under the pressure of their foam.
As the user begins to develop their skills further, they will learn of the potential in building up large amounts of bubbles inside their body before releasing them. Depending on how many bubbles are pent up, it creates increasing amounts of pressure, which can then be ejected with the release of foam. This pressure can be applied to the users fighting, but can also act as a means of transportation, rocketing the user in a desired direction by ejecting pressure from different parts of their body.
Weaknesses:– Aside from the typical devil fruit weaknesses, this fruit is also particularly weak to bursts of air. The foam that the user produces isn’t heavy, and can be blown away quite easily by strong winds.
When using the pressure aspect of this power, the user needs to keep a constant hold on the amount of foam building up in their body. Too much foam concentrated inside them can cause them to burst, rendering their powers unusable for a short amount of time and causing all of the pent up foam to explode out around them uncontrollably.
