It was very odd, but as soon as Kane had asked Ike the question, the boy collapsed. The Captain, however, was only a tad disappointed. Now he would just have to ask when the Devil Fruit user woke up. It was worth the wait though. In Kane's eyes this person was someone that had helped defend their ship. He not only deserved praise, but would definitely be one great addition to the crew. It was also to be expected that he would collapse. After all, Ike had used a ton of energy into that last move and had actually succeeded in killing a Sea King. Kane was beaming from ear to ear. Yeah, they were going to have another Nakama for sure.
Looking back over at the ship in the distance that had helped to fight the Sea King, Kane observed that it was coming closer to them. Amisi made a comment that the ship shouldn't start anything. "They did just try to help but let's not let down our guard," Kane advised in a manner that was more professional than before. Desert Punk had already prepared her shot gun. There was no doubt that even at that distance, she would be able to do something to their ship. Knowing her, she had rigged something into the weapon.
Kane laughed at that before trying to remain attentive. He wasn't doing that great of a job though for the Hoshi Captain was having a hard time concealing his excitement. He wanted to see who had been so courageous as to try to take the Sea King out on their own and fling it backward. Surely it was someone just as powerful as they. Though their motivations were concealed. Were they really just trying to help them out? It was true that they had no pirate flag on their ship yet. Maybe they didn't know who exactly they were helping.
Deciding that he would make it known, Kane suddenly turned around and headed back into the kitchen area. Inside, layed neatly on the table, was something he had layed down before the fight had begun. Their flag. Taking the material gently in his hands, a smile tugging on his lips, the red head then turned around and headed back to the deck. Walking proudly back over to Amisi and Shisha, passing by the collapsed Ike on the floor, Kane held the flag up for all to observe, even the approaching ship.
The material fluttered wildly and then caught the breeze right, slowly moving back and forth in the wind. On the front was a cruddly drawn skull and cross bones. The mouth of the skull was ajar and a bright golden star was between the teeth. Around the skull itself were nine other stars in a circle.
