“Maybe something akin to a guild… or a company,” Tia muttered thoughtfully, her mind drifting back to the idea of having a legion of underlings. Hm. What would that look like? With her ego wounded as it was, she couldn’t quite picture it. She’d much rather surround herself with those she trusted rather than those that were more likely to stab her in the back. Tia clicked her tongue. Well, they needed to gather information about the criminals’ hideout anyhow. She was content to leave it to Veera for the time being.
Newton began his little demonstration, which Tia watched with some interest. She had never met a Devil Fruit user aside from that one elder back home, so it was interesting to see it up close and personal like this. Well, and Edith, of course. Devil Fruits were interesting things. Not that Tia could really see herself with one. It was too random. There was no guarantee she wouldn’t get stuck with something awful.
“Just an electric eel mermaid with super weapons,” Tia scoffed, smiling down at Veera, “Don’t sell yourself short, darling.”
Leaning over, Tia very gently and delicately booped Veera on her nose to try and cheer up her maritime companion. Once Veera was smiling again, Tia pulled her hand away and listened in, nodding as she explained. “Well, let’s get a map of the place first. I know a few people that might have a recent enough one. We’ll position Veera at a good vantage point for sniping and Newton can sneak inside and open the gates for myself and Edith… and whoever else, I suppose.”
Tia added that last bit a little begrudgingly.
“So I suppose the first thing to do is find Edith. Newton, did you hear anything about where she ran off to last?”
