The guard was seemingly confused by the situation that had presented itself. Not quite sure how to react he began to stammer his sentences, trying to approach the girl whom he thought was helpless. He didn’t even see the chop that hit the back of his neck and dropped him to the ground, out cold.
The large man looked up to his accomplice and gave her a reassured look. That was until the other voice outside the door called out for his missing partner. Without putting much thought into it, Garuda began to strip the officer before him. The size of the man was generous but even still, it was a tight fit for the man.
“Hey Stocks… Everything alright in there?”
The voice seemed concerned and that gave Garuda a thought. He appeared outside giving the marine a distressed look.
“Officer, it seems like we’ve got a problem here… Can use a little help? Stocks doesn’t look too good.”
Garuda added a bit of concern in his voice too. Hoping it would be enough to get the better of the second marine.
There was a rush of footsteps as the marine appeared in to the room rushing for his partner’s help. This one had a moment to take in what was happening but not enough time to draw his sword. Garuda had already used the back of his blade to strike the officer in the abdomen, knocking the breath out of him before following up with a punch to the face to send him sprawling besides his naked friend.
“I think the uniform will be of help from here on out. I suggest you zip up whilst I tie up and hide these bodies. Let’s hope they’re not discovered.”
Garuda said as he picked Stocks up looked to a cupboard where he might be able to fit in. A piece of cloth as a gag and some wire from equipment made up for the materials for his operation. He wasn’t much of an assassin but he had enough skills to capture discreetly. That much he had learnt from his days as a bounty hunter.
“We best get moving before anybody realises these two are missing.”
Garuda decided to continue leading the way as he had a better idea of where they were going, considering he had a better understanding of the blueprints.
He trudged along carefully, peering around every corner and ushering Syphalia to follow. He was feeling a lot more confident and aware following the interaction with the marines. Several corridors and rooms were cleared simply by blending in as part of the marine squad.
Eventually, there was a door in front of them that was leading into the room that contained the ladder that lead to the lower floor. It was an obscure pathway compared to the stairs and lead directly to the cells. It was often used to deal with any commotion the prisoners caused at night. However, things were not that easy.
Placing an ear against the wall, Garuda could make out several voices inside. It was most likely a resting room for marines.
“There are quite a few people inside here. We can try and casually walk through. I’ll make an excuse to having to deliver a message to one of the guards downstairs but more than likely, we will be questioned.”
Garuda sighed heavily as to indicate he didn’t think this was going to work. He looked at Syphalia with an expression to say, this is going to be difficult. Although he couldn’t be precise about it, there were at least half a dozen marines inside.
“We might have to get our hand dirty I’m afraid.”
Garuda added before knocking on the door and then making his entry through.
