Dinner Time (Open to all Rolling Pirates)

Down in the Galley of the Pirate Ship The Second Wife, the newest member of the crew was currently preparing dinner. He wore a normal white button down shirt, which was to reveal a t shirt underneath. He was then wearing a pair of tan kaki pants with brown sandals. Lastly around his waist was a white apron. He was covered in a little sweat due to the fire he was cooking with at the moment.

On top of the stove was one giant pot with boiling water with penne in it. In another simpler pot was a pink type sauce with freshly finely cut onions inside the sauce. Cooking over the grill laid some steaks that where cut from two mako sharks. Last but not least were the apples that were cooking in the frying pan with cinaimon and sugar. This wasn't even including the other dishes and drinks he prepared earlier in the day.

Pretty much the kitchen was starting to smell up the dinning hall. As he was moving quickly across the kitchen preparing the meal for every member of the crew. He just hoped that the food was good enough for him to stay aboard the ship. He just continued to move around the kitchen like a mad man. He was so into his own little world at the moment that he didn't pay attention to the surrounding.

"I just hope everyone enjoys the meal..." said Yasuo to himself as he continued to working in the kitchen

[Bear Etelka (Sarah)]

"Mitch I said stop I'm fine okay! I know your concerned, but Its all okay.. okay?" The young Tanuki girl seemed to be Arguing with her Parrot about something, again, people still thought it was strange that she talked with him. He was wondering how Sarah was, how any of her injuries were, hee was a very worried bird. After all Sarah did have a few bandages wrapped around her neck. she looked at Mitch

" Really Mitch, it was just a little scratch on my neck, its fine.. I dont even know why I needed it all bandaged up for" she laughed a little bit. "you know Ive had worse cuts then that before"

She rubbed her head looking around, after all, she was knew too the crew as well. She let out a sigh "heh, this ship is huge, I still haven't figured my way all the way around it yet heh heh..." She wandered till she happened to wander her raccoon like self into the Kitchen, she let out a squeak and looked around. "heh well this want the right way I..." she squeaked when she saw Yasuo there.

She yelped some "Oh! I'm sorry Yasuo!" she squeaked some "heh, I didn't mean to walk in while you were cooking I'm sorry heh.." she rubbed the back of her head. " I mean, I just joined too really, and I haven't quite figured out where I need to go yet, so Ive been wandering around for a while and found myself here, this ships allot bigger then what I'm sued too." she blushed some, she really didn't mean to wander in while he was cooking, she didn't know if he minded or not, so she just apologized right away.

"chichi! xhixhixhxixhi chi chi" Mitch let out a bird like chuckle "hci xhi xhi chichi"

Sarah Blushed again "well.. I guess thats true.. I'm used to being in a dingy, and yeah, dad's ship wasn't nearly this big either" she rubbed the back of her head "and ya know Mitch.. you don't have to remind me that I have no sense of direction, I know!" she grumbled " I cant find my way anywhere.." she let out another sigh.

She looked back up pat Yasuo, ears twitching up and her nose twitching as well." so, what are you cooking Yasuo?" she asked smiling some. "It smells really really good!"

As Yasuo was currently moving the frying pan in one hand and stirring the sauce in another, he heard some else arrive in the kitchen. He turned his gaze to the person that just came into the room. If he remembered correctly her name was Sarah, and she just recently joined the crew as well. She seemed kind of shy about arriving the kitchen, while he was preparing the meals for tonight. He didn't mind at all, but found it cute that she was trying to apologize for it. He just smiled at her as she continued to speak on.

He didn't blame her for not getting lost on this ship either. He got on a small dingy and had trouble in storm. By the time he reached the next island he was kicking his feet on board of wood. But he mentally shook that memory away, and saw Sarah asked about what is for dinner this evening.

"Just so you know...you don't have to apologize for walking into the kitchen. It's not that big of a deal okay. As for dinner...I'll prepare you plate now if you like. It will be a small sampler of very thing being served tonight." said Yasuo as he stood before Sarah. He quickly put very thing he was cooking at the moment into serving plates or bowls. Next he reached up and pulled down one small bowl, and one large plate.

He opened the refridgerator and pulled out a giant salad bowl. Yasuo took a pair of tongs and placed the salad in the bowl. In the bowl was a Strawberry Spinach Salad with almonds on top. On the plate he cut a piece of the blacken mako shark on placed it down. Next to he took some penne and placed next to the mako shark steak. After that he placed some of the pink sauce over the penne. Then to finish the plate up he took some broccili and placed to the left side of the plate. The broccili was steamed and lightly salted for taste. Once he was done with that he placed the food on a counter and pulled over a chair for Sarah.

"What we have for dinner tonight is a Strawberry Spinach Salad, with some Almonds. For the main course we have a blacken Mako. For sides there are some penne al la vodka, and steam broccili lightly salted. Now try this, while I prepare the desert for you." said Yasuo in sincere voice as he turn around and opened up the oven and pulled out some cupcake looking things. He placed them on another counter and picked one up. He pulled out a small plate and it down. He removed the small wrapping around the cupcake and placed it down. Next he pulled out the thongs and picked up three pieces of apple and placed on the plate.

He walked back over to Sarah and said "Then lastly we have a Mini cheesecake with ciniamon honey glazed apples for dessert. I think it is a pretty modest meal. Now give it a shot Sarah. Let me know how it tastes!" Yasou took a rag and cleaned his hands as he waited for Sarah to give it a shot. He was pretty proud of the meal he created.

"well I know some cooks don't like other people in the Kitchen while they cook, it distracts them." Sarah's ears twitched up some, and she smiled. "And, Sure! that sounds great, everything smells really really good.." her nose twitched again, She could smell pretty much everything, her heightened sense of small cause of her fruit helped.

she sat down where he had set the chair up next to the counter and watched all the foods that were put on the plate. Her large fluffy tail seemed to wag some, excitedly. She was still blushing some as she waited for all the samples to be placed on the plate.

Mitch tilted his head some,looking down at the food, then back over at Sarah, then over at the food again. his feathers fluffing up a little bit" xhi chi?" he cooed some.

"course Mitch" she laughed a little and picked up one of th e apples on the plate and gave it to him, the bird making a happy chirping noise and started pulling at the bit of apple with his beak. She laughed some "he loves fruit, he would be mad at me if I didn't let him have some".

She looked down at the food once it was all there. "Modest?, this meal looks amazing Yasuo!" She grinned a little bit and started eating it, her ears flickered up and her eyes brightened" WOW! Its ..its amazing!!! This food is delicious Yasuo, it looks and tastes marvelous!!!"

She tasted and tried everything on the plate, her ears twitching happily as she did. snacking on the cheesecake last, she always saved the sweets for last, they were her favorite part. She ate all of the mini cheese cake and apples. She let out a happy cooing like noise, her tail wagging again, she opened her eyes again. your a really really good chef Yasuo!, Everything tasted wonderful, epically the cheesecake, heh, but I like sweets allot, so that was my favorite part! "

Mitch had finished the apple slice Sarah had given him and he flapped his wings, letting out a squeak and a happy squawking noise.

Sarah giggled a little bit" Mitch liked the apples allot" She grinned again. "all your food was really good! THank you for letting em try it all before evreyone eslse" she giggled some and looked at him "guess getting sompletly lost dose have some perks, huh?".

As Sarah went to eating the sample dinner plates he prepared for her. He decided to lean on th counter she was eating on and watch as she went. He was amazed that she could understand the bird at all. I mean it was kind of odd to have a bird speak to a person like that, but he just let it go. When she told him that Mitch loved fruit, he made a mental note for that.

"So, I'll try and prepare a plate of cut up fruit for Mitch every day. Can have the little guy go hungry on my watch." said Yasuo as he continued to watch his taste tester for him. However when Sarah told him that this wasn't a modest meal, Yasuo rubbed the back of his head shyly. "Well, I thought it would be a good example of everything I can cook too. Also thanks for the compliment."

As Sarah got to the last part of the meal, he found it funny that she enjoyed sweet things. She definately an interesting person to get to know. Also you can figure out her reactions based on her tail. After she finished very thing, he said "Well then I'll make sure to have more sweet things on the menu. I'll even make them more healthy so you don't have to worry about eating too many of them."

He turned around and began to plate the dinner for the night. He had nice serving trays to place all the food on. "Well getting lost is another form of being curious or adventurus. In my mind since we are pirates and nakama, that is a good thing. I mean if did have the need for adventure, what would be the point of being a pirate? So Sarah you just used an example of why you will become a great pirate." said Yasuo as he finished plating all the food.

"Anyway I am rambling on...so here is a curious question for you. Where did you get the tail from?" asked Yasuo as he looked at Sarah tail.

"Well this mean defiantly shows that you are a fantastic, amazing great wonderful cook!" she grinned Happily, the raccoon girls tail wagging just a bit from being excited. She giggled sweetly" if you ever need someone to try your food out for you I would be more then happy to be the one to do that" she blushed a little but kept on smiling." Especially if you want me to test sweets..or Udon noodles. Heh"

She listened a bit more ,her ears twitching up sweetly, she smiled" wow, never thought about it that way bore..and I suppose if I had never gotten lost, I would of never met Lola at that clothing store and I wouldn't be part of this crew. "Her tail wagged more "heck,, I found Mitch when he was a hatching when I was little cause I got lost in the woods.. I guess I do get lost allot, but I suppose I have almost good luck whenever I do get lost" she laughed and and had her hands in her lap now.

"But I really do have no sense of direction , thats probably why I shouldn't go off on my own, I cant find my way back anywhere unless thees a familiar scent around that I can follow" she rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Other wise I'm most likely to end up walking in the wrong direction.."

She stopped talking a moment though, listing to his question about her tail, she blushed a little bit and turned her head some to look back at the large fluffy raccoon tail" my tail?" her ears twitted back some, she reached her hand and pet her tail gently "heh..well..ya see.."

She looked up at him in a nervious way ,her ears back" heh, b..back when I was little, I had found a weird looking fruit.. and it was one of the devil fruits, the Raku-n~Raku-n no mi. " she smiled "heh, and cause of that fruit, I grew these ears and tail..and gained the ability to change into raccoon forms" she giggled some again, but it was more of ashy nervous giggle. "It also gave me fangs" she opened he mouth to show the two pointed teeth in the front. "as well as claws when I'm angry I guess..heh." her face got a little redder and she looked down.

"and.. I suppose the fruit made me be a Little self conscious of myself too.. I mean.. I definitely don't look like a normal girl..that's for sure.." she rubbed one of her arms a bit. Mitch seemed to let out a chirping like noise and he rubbed his head against Sarah some.

Xen had been standing to the side of the door and was eavesdropping onto the conversation. He walked into the kitchen.
"Oh so it is a devil fruit.... have you mastered it's skills or are you still learning them?"
He had his arms crossed and was inspecting her tail and ears, wondering how she had them out during human form, he had read alot about zoans but this was a surprise.
He looked around the kitchen and checked where everything was placed. He sniffed once and then took a step back. He shook his head to steady himself.
"That smell is strong.... oh now we have a cook?"
He usually paid attention to the things around him and even the small details.
He extended his arm to the cook.
" I am Xen and you are?......"
He tried to figure out how strong the cook was.
" I am new here too but I've pretty much got the layout of the ship...."
He tried to look for where the cook kept his knives, so he knows he can't use them whenever defending himselfl. He respected others professions and did not want to disrespect the cook.

Yasuo smiled warmly when Sarah made a comment about trying out new recipes and meals to create for the crew. It seemed that he developed a fan already at this moment. It was nice to have people to socialize with. Back in his home town, after sensei and step sister passed away, everyone called him a curse. However at this moment he was enjoying the time he had. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you be the first one to try…unless it is a liquor or ale I am making. Then you are little too young for that.” Said Yasuo as he ruffled her hair a bit.

He then listened to story about how she to get her raccoon likes features. When she mentions the words Devil Fruit it made sense to him. He knew they gave you stranger power and abilities, but never knew they could make you look like something else. He would just to remember to make future notes about Devil Fruits in the future. When she talked about her looks making her self conscious he was about to make a comment when some else joined him in the galley.

He was a really tall guy and looked like he could take Yasuo and break him in two pieces. The man continued as he talk Yasuo just listened to the man as he talked and waited for him to finish. He seemed to surprise that he didn’t know Yasuo was the new cook. Yasuo wasn’t that surprised she he joined the crew the other day, when he met the captain. After the man introduced him, Yasuo smiled and said “It nice to meet you Xen. I am Yasuo…the cook.”, he took Xen hand and applied a good pressure. It was always a good think to have a strong handshake. Besides after years of training with his sensei, Yasuo was not to weakling.

After shaking Xen hand, “So we are all new here! That his great news! At least I am not alone on a new ship with new friends. So Xen if your hungry or anything I can prepare you a plate right away. Not everyone arrived yet for Dinner yet, but the food is all ready to eat.” Said Yasuo as he looked at the tall man. He turned back to Sarah and said “Also new taste tester, if anyone makes a comment about your ear or tail…I’ll promise to make them apologize for it.”

He smiled at her sweetly, like the way a big brother would look at his sister. He went towards the back of the kitchen and pulled out a small bottle of water for himself and twisted off the cap. “So can anyone tell me about the captain…I don’t know much about her. She told me she need a cook at the time…and I held up a sign to find a job…so it worked out for the best that way.” Said Yasuo before he took swig of his water bottle and waited to see what people told him.

Sarah grinned and looked at Yasuo " Oh well I wouldn't wanna try that anyway" she laughed " I have absolutely no alcohol tolerance, a friend of mine Kokuou, who is a complete drunkard, learned that very quickly cause he told me to try some of the liquor he had...not the best idea" She laughed again when he ruffed her hair "hey, I'm not a little kid" she giggled " I'm not all that young"

She then yelped some when Xen walked in, he surprised her was all. Her ears twitched back a little bit, but she quickly calmed down, she was so easily startled. She looked over At Xen. and let out a small sigh.

"Yes, a devil fruit is what caused my ears and tail.." she smiled a little bit. Then she laughed a little, rubbing the back of her head a bit "well.. mostly.. I can turn into my normal raccoon form any time I want too..and I'm pretty good at it..but my other form...well.." sh e looked away a moment, letting out a small squeak. "Welll..that form.. I don't like being in, I can't really..controll what I'm doing, it only happens when I get so angry I cant control myself... "she looked down.

" I don't like loosing control.. I hate going into that form more then anything..."

She smiled again slightly but she looked up "but.. me getting angry enough for that to happen happen very rarely, I'm not really that agressive.."

"chich xhi chichi" Mitch chirped giving Sarah a sly Look.

"Yes Mitch..unless someone dose something like that" she squeaked a little bit, then looked over at Yasuo again "well thanks!" she squeaked blushing a little again "heh but its okay, I'm used to it by now, I mean, its not normal for anyone to have a big fluffy tail and ears and the rest of them look normal.. I don't even think its normal for zoan fruit users..I'm just strange I suppose"

She grinned at him asking about the Captain though " Lola is a great Captain!" she smiled some. "She cares allot about her Nakama thats for sure.. Did you not get to meet her real well?" she gave a confused look, one of her ears twitched up, and the other down.

”Yosh! Something smells good in here!” said Lola brightly. The old wooden floor creaked under her high heels. She cast a worried little glance at her toes, resolving to ask Henry to look things over later. Their ship repairs were almost finished, but a few things still needed work. ”Oh, am I late?”

She’d heard Sarah and Yasuo talking before she’d come in, but Xen standing there too was a surprise. A welcome surprise, of course. Lola pulled up a chair next to Sarah and looked at the food Yasuo had prepared with delight. ”Wow, this all looks amazing! Can we just dig in or do we have to wait for the rest of those slackers?”

As if on cue, Marv popped his head into the room, drawling, “Oiii, Captain Lola, don’t vanish like that without saying where you’re going. …Oh.” He seemed to have just realized that he’d walked into a room where three of the four occupants were strangers. “Ahahahaha! Ha! Welcome! To the Rolling Pirates I mean, not the ship… I mean you’re like already here. You’re. Yeah.” He pointed feebly at them and reached back to scratch the nape of his neck. “You know, just the other day I was talking to Akai, and I said—“

”Shut up and sit down, Marv,” said Lola. ”The food will get cold if you keep running your mouth.” He plopped into a chair, looking unspeakably relieved. ”This is our new cook Yasuo, Sarah, and Xen,” she explained, pointing to each of them in turn. Lola’s head tilted a little as she listened to something in the hallway. She could hear Akai, Masuku and Futa speaking loudly as they approached… but where were Megurushi and Garth?
