'Thank you very much.'
Torin said with an honest smile as he took the last box of supplies from the woman and placed them onto the pile. sub-consciously placing his hat on his head as he leant forward, other hand shoved in his pocket as he caught eye of the woman while he examined the goods. She simply stared at him with a grin, arms folded and her head tilted to one side. Torin raised his head, and a brow as the woman eventually snapped out of her gaze. 'Oh! I'm sorry!' Torin chuckled as he straightening himself out. 'Something wrong?' She shook her head, rubbing her eyes as she pushed the shipping trolleys to one side. 'The hat, the posture.. You just..' Torin pushed the last box onto a small pulley as he lifted his helmet from his face, a grin as if someone was taking his picture. 'Look like someone you know?' She nodded, with a glance to the long path out towards the ocean, she reminisced for a short moment before looking back to Torin. 'Well, you have a safe trip now.' Torin made a weak salute as he began to tug the supplies down the path. 'Will be now that we have food. Thanks again!'
He began to stroll down the path as he looked to Darius to follow. 'Well then, lets skip town, I'm sure Taro must be getting bored of all the attention by now.' He pulled the large pack of supplies down the straight path to the boat, he was amazed how small this town was in comparison to the only place he has ever lived, everything seemed small, though he couldn't help but feel comforted by it. It was cosy like the tunnels he dug for days on end. Torin had only just registered what Darius had suggested, he was too busy making sure he had all the right numbers at the time. 'Oh! You said you could navigate? So you can swing a sword and read a path, eh?' He pulled the piece of paper from out of his mesh on his helmet, waving it slightly before placing it back. 'I have navigation under control but you are welcome to correct me if I am wrong if course plotting in the future. Your skills in their entirety will be more than useful I assure you.'
'Well if I know anything about pirate crews is that they seem to have a wide range of job placements. Glad to actually have someone who can fight at the starting line of our travels.' He chuckled at the sound of it all, venturing out into sea with a price on their heads and fighting all the way.. Sounded rather welcoming to be honest. Torin stopped in his tracks as he realised people were around his boat, and Taro too! He was early..
The men seemed to be streaming out from the back alleys and buildings of the small town and gathering around Taro. 'I honestly thought he would have lost them before he got back to the ship. Bet you ten beri he thought he was home free and just skipped back to the boat as if those clothes weren't an eye catcher.' He continued until he was quite close, the men turning at the hearing of rumbling boxes and bottles, the store owner emerging from a small pile. 'I knew it! This is yours and his boat! You ratted out your own friend!? What a coward!' He pointed towards Torin as some henchmen from the mass of idle men began to walk towards Torin, batting their weapons against their bodies and itching for a fight. 'Its obvious this little rat can't pay, so we will just take your food as repayment.' Torin's eyes flicked back and forth as he watched the numerous men begin to stride closer and closer.
'But this is my food..' He said very calmly, patting his pile as the shop keeper simply laughed. 'Well now its mine, thanks to your no good pirate friend here!' Torin tilted his head, pirate was a odd choice of words. His words were backed up by two pieces of paper in his hands, as he pushed out one for Torin to see, Torin smiled, which soon turned into a giddy chuckle. 'No way! They gotta picture of me at the three sails!?' He placed his hand on his head as he leaned back to laugh, the shopkeeper looking like his head was about to explode. 'How is this funny!? Your a wanted man and all you do is laugh about it!?' Torin wiped a tear from his eye as he let out a sigh. 'That's awesome..' The keeper had lost his small thread of patience, flailing as if having a seizure before pointing at Torin once more. 'Get him! His bounty can pay back his friends thievery!'
Torin was quite confused as the group moved towards him at a faster pace, were they after him or the food now? This man's plans weren't very straight forward, how in gods name did these hired guys keep track he'll never know. A man with an axe decided to make the first move, as he swung and slammed his blade against Torin's helmet, freezing for a moment as his impact simple sent the vibrations wobbling up his spine. Torin, with an unamused look lifted his helmet to look at the man who struck the blow, taking his shovel from his back he smacked him on the head in retaliation, the man crumpling to the ground. 'Not so nice when I hit you on the head, is it!?' The other men, in all shapes and sizes considered their large pay and all charged at once. 'Get him' and numerous other shouts and yells emitted from the crowd as Torin put his shovel back on his back.
It looked almost as if every guy began swinging at the wrong time on purpose, as Torin began to jump onto, around and under the flailing men as one by one they began to yell about their arm not moving or the horror that they couldn't feel their legs. Torin emerged from the small crowd patting the dust off his hands as he looked back to the pile of moaning henchmen. 'You know with so many of you, you could have easily done more than swing widely' He pulled his shovel from his back, swinging it behind him then placing it back as a man sneaking up behind him froze on the spot, grabbing his groin and falling to the floor.
He looked back to Taro's small batch of opponents, and then the shopkeeper as he stood shaking from the result of his wave of minions. 'Ho- How did you do that!?' Torin shrugged as he took an intake of breath. 'Well the first one decided to swing to the right with too much weight on his one si-' He was quickly interrupted by the grouchy shop-man-person: 'I didn't mean that!' He looked helplessly at the men who stood cautious behind him. 'Well don't just stand there! Get the little brat!' Torin prepared himself for another wave of mindless flailers as he lifted his head as if to gesture towards Darius. 'Hey, now's your chance to us what 'ya got!' Torin said as he lifted a thumbs up into Darius before jabbing at the first incoming lackey, as his body seized from the neck attack and flopped to the ground.
Torin was starting to understand why people became pirates.
This was unnaturally fun.
