As it turned out Desmond had taken the same path a Zansatsu after a few minutes of wandering.
He arrived in time to share the view beyond the door after he crumbled what chunks of it remained on the floor.
The sight of the beast caused the man to projectile vomit to the floor, Zansatsu had more control over his body however, though he too was disgusted by the sight.
The most striking detail of it's being was the constant... Throbbing
It was a large beast, perhaps 25 foot tall or so but it was far wider still.
It was not so much a single form as a collection of tentacles and sacks extruding forth from it's centre which expelled nauseous gas every few moments.
It had yet to notice the two who just entered or rather, it paid them no heed whatsoever.
Yet this creature was only at the enterance of this area, behind him lay a forest that stretched on as far as could be seen from the ground, it too exuded a feeling of danger and most prominantly the stench of death.
All of this assualted Zansatsu's keen awareness at once, causing him to stop for several seconds and adjust.
After he stepped forward, releasing himself from the cave's grip, he realised that what he had just done could have spelt death had the creature been more aggresive.
He kept this as a sticking note within his mind, he couldn't afford to be weak any further, the world was expanding far faster than he could keep up with recently and it was time to take the reigns once more.
"Desmond... I'm sure you've realised this by now but this creature is far beyond us. Our only chance to defeat it, should you wish to do so, is through fighting as a unit."
Zansatsu widened his stance so that he would be more stable in adverse conditions.
"This will require trust or we shall die in the process, are you willing to fight alongside me?"
In truth Zansatsu felt no trust, or for that matter, doubt of Desmond.
He saw him only as a piece in a grand operation who's worth had yet to be ascertained.
Despite this, he knew that how useful the man could be would be affected by trust and it was easier to have others trust you if they believe you to do similar.
