In this moment of respite Zansatsu realised that Dylan was no longer observing him, rather he was in a fight of his own, a very loud one at that.
Trees were being smashed left right and centre with Dylan constantly on the retreat.
Now why would he do that? As a logia he shouldn't have to worry about physical strikes such as that and the tonfas didn't appear to be made of seastone either.
Perhaps it was something to do with a weakness of Dylan's in relation to his devil fruit's characteristics?
Before he could reach a conclusion he was interrupted by the incessant shouting of his opponent.
"GO GET HIM BROTHER~"
How could there be such a massive difference in height between two people directly related?
The small one was below average height yet the brute was even taller than Zansatsu.
It was an interesting topic of thought but it was hardly constructive right now all things considered.
Zansatsu could finally go all out without worrying about being observed, but this was not the time for a quick victory, rather this was the time to prepare for future battles.
After all, if this normal guard was this skilled and almost managed to one-up Zansatsu in battle, what were the Royal guard going to be like?
Rather than utilise an already combat proved attack it would be better to experiment with new attacks.
"Come forth, we will play it your way."
The guard's gaze snapped onto Zansatsu then, he felt embarassed about how he took all of his attention off the man that was trying to kill him.
"You don't need to say it twice~"
He rushed towards Zansatsu and held up his crossbow, yet before his eyes Zansatsu seemed to dissapear.
In actuality he had ducked down at high speed, gripping his hunting knife in his hand.
Managing to see this in time Henry leaned back drastically, causing the blade to miss by an inch.
However this was part of Zansatsu's plan and he jolted his upward arm towards Henry, piercing his chest lightly.
Zansatsu had strapped several knives to his arm, allowing for a continuous line of strikes.
But rather than end it, Zansatsu moved back, giving Henry a moment to patch himself up a little.
It wasn't an entirely new move, but it was a start.
Zansatsu then pondered upon possiblities for a moment.
An idea popped into his head then, it might be a bit lethal for trying out on the test subject but he could always find a replacement.
Zansatsu approached his opponent again, this time weilding a throwing knife in his hand.
He then jerked it into an overhead position, and stabbed downwards a la Psycho.
However Henry could see this coming from far off and had his crossbow at the ready in order to block it.
In the middle of the downwards arc Zansatsu released his grip on the knife, instead moving his hand down and grabbing another blade from his hip and thrusting it towards Henry's gut.
But the attack did not end here, his other hand grabbed at hunting knife from his hip in unison with the right arm only to stab it towards his lung. Finally, he stretched backwards and used his flexibility to bring his right leg directly upwards, only to move down and come in contact with the knife in mid air, bringing it up to an extreme level of power.
As could be expected, this tri-pronged attack was too much for Henry to keep up with, all blades pierced into him, one of them piercing through his crossbow beforehand.
It was a once off attack that relied heavily on mis-direction to strike true.
It needed some work certainly, but it had promise.
Henry was on the floor bleeding in a puddle, the strike that pierced his lung caused him to go into a coughing fit, spraying blood from his mouth.
It wasn't the death that he deserved after giving Zansatsu so much.
He put him out of his misery by instantly driving a blade into his central lobe.
A painless death, regardless of the lead up.
The battle was clearly over
