This Island was created by Juu-San. All of this content is either direct wording from Juu-san or a summarization of the words. All I did was post the summary. =)
Located in the middle of the ocean of West Blue, this small island, known as Raito island, used to be a neighbor to Thriller Bark before it mysteriously disappeared. There is only room on this island for four small villages while a jungle area lays in the center. The inhabitants of Raito Island are normal and generally nice people. There are, of corse, a few quirky people here. If you are a pirate, it is best to make a landing at Left Village's port because the fact that you are a criminal will be overlooked. Bright Village, as well, will accept you because of its questionable activity. The inhabitants of the other villages are not strong, but against the entrance of criminals.
There are plenty of West Blue fish to be caught here; mostly in the water near Sparks Village. Rarer, yet still a frequent visitor, is a sea monster that scares some of the fish to the other villages. Although not as formiddable as a Sea King, it is still unwise to be in the water when this monste comes aound. In the jungle there are also animal; mostly odd, yet unrare, ones. Some of the common ones include monkeys, wild boars, and snakes. The plant life is usually eatable or useable for medicine.
Island History as described by Juu-san:
The original settler of this island was a man named Raito who left his homeland with a crew looking for new land. He found and colonized the island, bringing more people to settle there (it having been uninhabited before). They set up a village on the northern half of the island, later called Sparks. As time passed more villages were colonized to either side of Sparks, Raito himself placing people in charge of them.
The trees and plant-life toward the middle of the island were too thick to pass, however, and Raito figured that if they colonized that area they would be too far from the sea anyway, so he left it alone. Years later, Raito’s son colonized the last part of the islands shoreline, the area called Left Village. It is said that Raito’s son was a bit eccentric, though, and also a determined explorer. They said he tried to explore the Jungle region, but came back nearly a month later (though it takes only a weak to circle the island) even crazier than before. He said he found something wonderful, but he couldn’t tell since it was a place you couldn’t find if you were looking for it.
Really there is the remains of a previous kingdom there, one that failed centuries before Raito found the island. The jungle and ruins, however are so confusing and intricate that the only way you could possibly find your way there is if you get yourself completely lost. The ruins still contain the treasure from the previous kingdom, that no one save for Raito’s son has ever been able to find. So far there are only rumors that there is “something wonderful” within those woods, that no one has ever been able to navigate. These rumor also predict that it’s treasure, but by this time the amount of treasure is extremely exaggerated.
Here's a list of the villages located on this island as Juu-san described:
Bright Village: (buraito) Below and to the left of Sparks Village. It’s the smallest village and was named for the island, (raito=light) so is one of the 3 synonym villages. Bright Village doesn’t get many people to visit from sea, since they lack a port (though it can be clearly seen at night), however many people from Left and Sparks (sometimes even Beacon) will come due to it’s “city of lights” nature. It’s small, but full of bright lights, clubs and casinos. Because of it’s nature, the inhabitants are usually only very active at night. All of the crooks and cheats frequent, if not live in this village and it‘s a place where voyaging pirates like to stop by. Since places close down and open a lot, the buildings are made cheaply with mostly plaster and wood. People tend to live in apartment-like housings. The buildings are very close together and tall due to the village’s lack of space. The village is pretty much just a huge red-light district, so any locals usually have to travel to the near by Left or spark Villages to get supplies. This is usually not a problem though considering the village is tiny and the other Villages have shopping centers nearby.
Sparks Village: (supakasu)The largest of the four villages. It is on the opposite side of the island than the lighthouse, so it hardly gets any ships docking unless they’re lost. Also following the “light” trend, it’s a synonym. Sparks is a large village that is full of pretty nice people. Everyone there is pretty wary about criminals from Bright Village coming in, but they don’t mind regular citizens. The housing/civilian areas are towards the middle of the village, while the shopping centers and the bars are one the outer skirts. It was made so that people from Bright wouldn’t bother to come further into the village. It’s not so much for Beacon, but there is still that sort of ‘buffer’. It is on this side of the island that many West Blue fish gather, so it has a booming fish market. Sparks is known as a very old-fashioned village, being the founding point of the island. The buildings are made of stone and have survived for centuries. This village is aptly named for the cultural festivals held in the civilian areas so often. There are parades, fireworks and food -along with other fun activities. There is a main road through the center of the civilian area for parade purposes.
Beacon Village: (bikon) To the right of Left Village. This village’s name also means light. It was named this way probably because of the lighthouse it’s so close to, though ironically the lighthouse is actually located in Left Village. Beacon is a port town that often has many sailing visitors. It’s full of traders with anything from tools to weapons to toys. Though the village itself is mainly a bunch of cement/clay houses built next to the few dirt roads it seems like trade shops can pop up anywhere. Portable vendors set up at the port, while in the village itself there are random drugstores and vendors too. This town, though it has a port, has a very negative view of pirates and will often try to drive them out. Unfortunately, since this is a trade town, they don’t have any really strong people, but so far they’ve been able to work together to drive out any pirate invasions. This village trades primarily with Sparks, trading tools for fish, etc. The people hardly travel through Left Village though, because of the graveyard on the border between the two villages. Typically the people from Beacon are superstitious and would rather sail around or just avoid traveling that way altogether.
Left Village: (refuto) To the left of Beacon, it is the second largest of the four villages, though just a little bigger than Beacon. Different from the other villages, Left Village was named assuming Raito=Right - not only that but it’s an antonym, not synonym. This village could have been named because it is to the left of the lighthouse (assuming you are facing from the sea), or just because it’s founder was a strange guy. Either way, a few notable factors of this village is that it’s a port town like Beacon, and it is the town that the lighthouse is actually in. The town buys with the other villages mostly, but does have some fish to catch in that area. For the most part though this town gains income from its visitors. Bars, inns, restaurants, etc. can all be found here, and with the village’s “no questions asked” policy it also is usually the place where pirates stop by when coming to the island. Most of the village has family businesses, where the store/bar/inn/etc. is also where the family lives. There are also residential areas off the outskirts near Bright though. The houses are primarily wooden. The lighthouse to the rightmost of the village is surrounded by a large graveyard. It happens to be the only public one on the island (not including private burials that may happen in other villages) since it doesn‘t take long to get around the island. This area gets visitors only for funerals and mourning (during the daytime) since it is often said that the place is haunted.
