Almos was still trying to figure out how exactly he got trapped into doing some mission on an island surrounded by various monsters. Not that the scientist had any problem with the gigantic creatures, if anything he would want to capture one just to dissect the creatures body and see exactly how there muscles were made and possibly see if the bones could be crafted to create anything. The bones must be extremely dense to be able to support the structure of the huge creatures that hunted prey in the calm line..... Which was something that struck him as odd, how come the huge creatures only lived in the calm belt? Were they weak to weather changes?
Those thoughts were broken, as he heard someone shouted at the other mercenary crew, a horrible smell assaulting his senses. It was a rather simple bait and flee plan. The second ship was smaller and quick, they were now applying a set of scented oils to attract the demonic sea monsters. There own shipped had been coated in a noxious oil to deflect the excess of the monsters. "UGH! Smells almost as bad as the skunk bomb...." He mumbled, white sleeves covering his face, trying to block out the horrible smell. It wouldn't keep them away if they were really hungry, but it would keep away at least the content ones.
"Sir, you really sure about working with mercenaries...?" He mumbled in a whisper to his superior, wondering if Chris was really okay with letting his pride turn and claiming they needed help. But the smell was starting to make him sick, until he was provided with a gas mask courtesy of one of the crew members. The man didn't need to even think a second about it, before the air filter was shoved on, and he was breathing happily. "Ah.... Much better..." Almos chirped happily, looking back out over the railing as they rushed the ship through the remaining monsters rather quickly.
It seemed the plan had worked quite well, as the monsters noticed the crew but didn't seem to get much closer after getting a whiff of the nasty odor around the ship. Almos was waiting beside his superior, wondering what he should do, hand was on the E-Gun in case something went wrong. Actually he doubted the cannons would do much damage, but at least if he aimed for the eyes they would slow down.
