It was a blue, cloudy sky morning where the sun was up high, reaching to the highest point in the sky.
Patch was sleeping in an outhouse on a toilet seat.
"Gah..? Eh..?" said Patch as he rubs his hands on his eyes.
Patch looks around and sees the small space and he wonders where he is. Suddenly, a flashback occured in his head:
"Ahh, yes! An outhouse! Yes! Yes! I've been holding this in too long!" yelled Patch as he runs toward the outhouse.
He slams his face to the door on the outhouse.
"Ow... I forgot to open the door." said Patch carelessly.
Patch open the outhouse door and slams it where the birds can hear it and they flee from the sound. Patch sits on the toilet and sits down happily.
"Ahh.." said Patch as he remembers the same sensation the last time he used an outhouse, then falls asleep.
"Oh yeah! Ha-ha, darn my sleeping habit." said Patch.
He gets up, wipes his bottom, and dresses himself. As he was finished, he opens the door out of the outhouse and goes out of it. He smells the fresh air and thinks to himself, "A perfect day...."
He walks in the fields and lays down with a thump. He looks at the clear sky and wonders to himself, "Where are you, Bounty Hunter?"
He falls asleep and has a dream and in that dream was the day when he came home and saw his parents in a pool of blood:
"Huh? The door... It's covered with red stains? Must be paint." thought Patch.
Patch puts his hand on the doorknob and twists it to open the door. The door was a bit slippery and his hand was about to slip.
"God, this doorknob is sure slippery." said Patch.
He opens the door and sees his father and mother in a pool of blood.
"M-Mother...? F-Father...?" stammered Patch.
Patch runs towards them, stops, and falls down on his knees. His eyes were crying out tears.
"Who did this to you?!" yelled Patch, "Why...! Why...! Why must this happened? It should've been me!"
As Patch continued to cry nonstop, he stops and notices his father's hands were moving, but a bit shakey.
"Dad! Are you okay?" asked Patch.
"S-Son? I'm glad you're okay... I thought the Bounty Hunter had already gotten you.. That's good.." said his father.
"Dad! Who did this!? Why!? Why!? Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?" said Patch.
Patch was bursting out tears more than ever, the tears created a small pool as they drip in the same spot. His father puts his hand on his son's cheek and rubs the tears off of his face.
"Don't cry son... It was probably fate, we weren't going to live any longer anyways." said his father.
"No! It's not fate... It was just.. Bad luck!" said Patch.
"There's no denying it Patch, you know we were going to be targeted anyways by the looks of our bounties. Son, I want you to do me a favor.." said his father.
"What is it Dad, anything?" wondered Patch.
"I want you here to take this wrist-band and guard it with your life.." said his father, "Here."
His father takes off his wrist-band and lays it on the floor. Patch picks it up and puts it on his wrist.
"Also... I want you to travel to the Grand-Line, but not alone.. And find the treasure that I always wanted to have.. And that is One Piece... Once you have it, I want you.. If it's not much to ask.. Get one small, not much, but a small fraction of it.. Put it in a sack... And put it inside my hands... I want to just feel and see One Piece just once before I can peacefully pass on.." instructed his father.
"I will father! I will!" said Patch, mostly crying a river about now.
"I don't have much time left, but here are these final words I have for you son.. I will always be pride of you and will be watching over you and remember this: I love you." said his father.
His father's hands fell down with a thud and that was the last of him. Patch cries more than ever and screams out, "AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Father, no!" yelled Patch as he woke up, "It was only.. Just a dream? If I could just saved them in time.. They wouldn't have died.."
Patch grips his fist tightly and looked at the sea.
"DO YOU HEAR ME BOUNTY HUNTER?! I, LITHEX PATCH, SON OF CORNELIUS PATCH AND CERINA PATCH, WILL BE THE ONE TO KILL YOU!"
Patch laid back down on the fields and falls back asleep.
