Prologue[/u] - Augustus' Allies
The Waste is an island in South Blue, known for its delicate atmospheric weathers and the fact that it is completely abandoned. That's what the majority of the population believes. Scholars and Conspirators have deduced that the island is a base full of futuristic navy equipment the World Government had hidden. To keep this "stupid" idea, they didn't dare secure the property to arouse suspicions from the general public. While the media have told people that it was home to the godly stone - The Eternal Stone. These two out-of-this-world theories have driven people to go in this god-forsaken island. The island is always full of hidden pirates, and adventurers hoping to find something valuable he or she can bring back. But there's a certain time of the year when the whole desert is completely avoided by everyone. Everyone in South Blue knows the reason for it. The Desert's Summer Solstice. The longest day in the year. It is proven by facts that in this day the sun will shine two to three more hours than it should be affecting the delicate weather of the whole island making it more severe for people who seek for something in the barren island. Ships who pass the island avoids the island for the sea surrounding the island was also affected by the Summer Solstice. After the longest day comes the Quick Darkness. The Quick Darkness is the night time but shortened because of the fact that the sun was up for much more time than ever. The Quick Darkness plays with the temperature around the island dropping the hell-like temperature to polar-like temperatures. In conclusion, no sane man would wander in this part of the sea when it's summer. Though before the Summer Solstice, a wooden ship rose from the sea docking into the deserted island. A group of people got off this ship, apparently looking exhausted. Then, just like that the wooden ship slowly went back down to the ocean, then it was deduced to ripples, then to bubbles, and then nothing.
The group, one of them so tall that it blocked the sun from ever touching the other's skin, made their way through the hot desert. Just a few kilometers away, you can see a sand storm brewing up. One of them had his tongue out, exhausted. A lady, just behind the man who has his tongue out, was wearing nothing but a small piece of fabric that covered her private parts. A man next to him was looking rather bored. He was wearing nothing but shorts. Next to the man was a butler, still in black costume, and a nurse, still in her uniform. It was a mystery as to how they survived the heat with clothes on. The last person in the group was a very huge person dressed in nothing except for a small piece of fabric covering her chest, and her private parts. From the looks of it, the huge person that was intercepting the heat for the group was a woman.
"Augustus, straighten up," a voice came out of nowhere.
Augustus, the person who had his tongue out, nodded briefly, then stood up as if he wasn't doing childish things like hanging his tongue out.
"Steinfield, don't lecture me. You're in the ship with all the cooling system with you, while-" he was stopped short by the man called Steinfield coming out of nowhere once again.
"We already talked about this. I can't walk in the desert. You know I'm allergic to Sun's rays,'
"That doesn't even-," said the curvy woman next to Augustus.
"Make sense, August? Yes it does. It's called Antephotosensus" the man with the voice defensively corrected the woman. The woman looked away, blushing.
"There's no such thing as Antephotosensus, Steinfield," the bored man said in a dreamy voice.
"Whatever. Oh, never mind about my allergic things. I think you guys are on the mark. Stop there, now," the man said, and the group stopped dead in their tracks.
"What is it, Steinfield?," Augustus asked the air around him.
"Stand up straight. The password, according to our sources, is 'I need my makeup'. Say it now," the man said in a serious tone. Augustus looked like he was about to puke before he said, "You think I'd say-," He was cut short by the voice once again.
"Well, you have to," the voice boomed. Swallowing his pride, he gulped his saliva. The curvy woman named August chuckled a little that made Augustus cheeks flush in pink. The butler and the nurse looked at him encouragingly, while the bored man sighed. The monster-like woman didn't move. With a quick intake of breath, he was about to say the hideous password when a laugh pierced Augustus' concentration throwing him apart. August joined in, even though she had no idea what was happening. ("This man's laugh is infectious", she snapped). August, clearly embarrassed quickly shouted into the air - "ARE YOU A KID OR SOMETHING?,"
The laughter stopped then with a quick cough came back.
"No. That's really the password. I laughed because the awkwardness was too much for me. Also, you were going to say the password in a slab of stone near ya," he came back. Augustus looked around, and suddenly hurried to the nearest rock he saw.
"I guess this is it?," he asked his group which made them shrugged, for they too, were not sure if that was the slab of stone they needed Augustus to speak on.
"Go on," Steinfield said somewhere in the air, then slowly burst in tiny fits of laughter. He tried to hide this, but it clearly failed. Augustus did not mind this, and with a quick shout to the rock, (August literally fell at the sand to laugh) a hidden cave sprung up to the ground like it was there just a minute ago. With a smile, he lead his group inside it. Once they were there, the cave disappeared from view as the sandstorm moved past it.
Chapter 1[/size][/u] - Bleak Beginning
A few hours after the meeting happened, three huge ships loomed in a safe distance surrounding the whole island. They formed the Y-Form Strategy with one of them placed in one of the sides of the island. From a bird's eye view, you can see the ships forming a Y-shaped. These ships were not the same big ships the marine operate with in the sea. These ships were huge compared to those. It can hold at least three of those ships with enough space for one half of another ship. Inside these three gigantic ships were weapons, boats, supplies, and soldiers. The World Government had came out with a poster in the South Blue to arrest the World Criminal Augustus for supposedly having a plot that could destroy the world. This poster came out a day before, and at least ten thousand men came to volunteer. The poster also said that the people who came will be rewarded a million beri when Augustus is captured. With the hopes the mission will catch the criminal, a lot of people volunteered to do the job. Along with the ten thousand volunteers, there were another ten thousand soldiers. Lots of people wondered why there were a lot of people needed to capture a seven-man crew. The higher ups only answered that "he has the power to take over the world. Drastic measures are needed to take his head". Though, really, it was another reason: The World Government hated the fact that Augustus is learning things that could danger their place in the society.
The three fleets had a leader each. One of them being Captain Austria. One of the captains who fought along to keep her island safe from Augustus. She was also the one who reported that they were seen near The Waste, and would likely land in it one of these days. With this account based from her, the Government moved to take out Augustus once and for all. When the Y-Form was done, and the three huge battleships were in place, boats scattered away from the huge boats landing in The Waste. The Waste was a medium sized island, and if there were people living in it, three villages could have happened instead of the deserted area looming in front of them. The mission was loud and clear as it was echoed throughout the island through the use of large voice den-dens attached to the boat.
"Look for Augustus" the den-den said in a harsh voice. It's once gentle soft eyes turned into a scowl. The three words repeated over and over again hoping that everyone could hear the words all around the island. But, before the boats landed in the shores, a gigantic fence with a sharp edge came out of the water blocking everyone who came near. At least thirty boats were destroyed. The sharp edges pierced the boat, and possibly the people on it, as it came up slowly. The fence had small barbed wires going across it in a strategic pattern, with little space in between.
Somewhere in the island, someone had laughed a very cold high-pitched one piercing the island. Though, of course, no one have heard it. The barbed wire was their first obstacle in the island. First out of many more.
So post with your character of why your character took the job. Improvise a little. If you want to, you can destroy your own boat saying that it was pierced when the sharp edge came out. Remember accidents is what makes it fun. Dont worry, I don't think you'll die. Well, except if you're a hammer in the water.
