"Ah, good madam, perhaps you would be willing to let me sample one of these mikan? They look spectacular~!" chimed the voice of a young man who stood remarkably tall, made even taller by a black top hat worn on his head. His frame was clad in dark, gentleman's clothing wth a suit, cloak and tie. One hand clutched a simple can lightly, his other currently tucking a stray strand of dark hair back behind his ear where it belonged as he bent down slightly to look at the woman with the grove bearing mikan trees.
"Oh, I'm sorry, but I only give these out to friends-"
"Oh, nono, I understand! A young woman like yourself should be allowed to do as you wish with your own belongings! In the meantime I shall find sustenance elsewhere - Perhaps at a cafe? A restaurant? A small pub? Ah, the opportunities are endless..." he remarked, sauntering off without a problem, causing the woman to blink as she watched him leave. The man was rather eccentric, or at least he appeared to be. With a spring in his step, the rather tall figure sauntered through the street of Cocoyashi Village. It hadn't been long since his arrival on the island - a day at best - and he hadn't felt the need to leave quite yet. Too many new places to see, after all. "My, my, I wonder what is done for entertainment? Perhaps there is a theater? Or a dance hall? Perhaps a musical band! Many things are to be learned of this place, indeed. Maybe I shall partake..." he commented, only to pause.
He could here it not far - probably only down the street - but an argument seemed to be breaking out. Shouting and yelling was to be heard, but he could only hear it from one voice. A rather amused smile crossed the tall gentleman's lips, having become rather curious as to what was going on. Likewise the people who could also hear were suddenly entranced, gathering to see what was going on. With no one looking, the gentleman suddenly leaped and, to the amazement of many had they been looking, he cleared the building he had been near in a single bound, landing upon its roof. Springing along the rooftops he ran towards the end of the street to get a bird's eye view of the recent happenings. Maybe he would be able to figure out what this noise-making was indeed about.
"How curious - Mother always said one mustn't yell. 'Tis a rude thing - I can only wonder what it is that has these men so riled up!" he commented to no one but himself, taking a close look from the roof.
