}Personality
Feisty Spitfire
Cora is a fiery sort who doesn’t let anyone talk down to her just because she’s small. She’s fierce, courageous, and determined to get the scoop no matter the personal hardship or sacrifice. She’s prone to angering easily and doesn’t really tolerate any form of disrespect towards her or others.
Journalist’s Integrity
Though Cora may look for corruption in the Marines, her integrity will not allow her to just make up bad things about them or, even worse, frame them for something they didn’t do. She’s honest to a fault sometimes, though she’s not above a quick lie to save her skin. She calls things as she sees them and isn’t afraid to let someone know what she thinks of them.
Social Chameleon
Cora’s work requires her to interact and blend with a variety of different social circles. From rowdy pirates to high class soirees, she is able to blend in and get along with most people. She has a preference for more salt of the earth types like her father, but she’s able to get along with most. She knows how to play things and get an in on most groups.
Hard Working
Cora is extremely hardworking and diligent. She’s been known to skip both meals and sleep in order to meet deadlines. She doesn’t like to stop when a job is halfway done or leave things unfinished indefinitely, and she is certainly not one to do things in half-measures.
Keen and Quick-Witted
Highly perceptive, Cora always thinks on her feet and is able to make quick decisions regarding the current situation. It’s this quick thinking that has kept her alive and relatively uninjured throughout her career. She picks up on nonverbal cues and seems to almost have a sixth sense for when something is about to happen for better or for worse.
Appearance
A short dynamo of a woman, Cora stands at only 5’2” tall. Her wiry frame and short stature sometimes get her confused for a young girl. Cora’s quick to put that to rest though. Her blue-green eyes are bright and sharp. Short, brown, curly hair falls messily around her head. She usually prefers to keep it pulled back in some way. Cora usually wears clothes good for traveling, whether overseas or on land. She has a tough jacket to stave off moisture and cold. She typically wears a tank top and cargo pants with lots of pockets. She usually has at least one bag on her, whether it's a backpack or an oversized satchel.

War Correspondent
Focus: Survival, Close Quarters Combat
Quick and light on her feet, Cora actually tries to avoid outright conflict with others if she can, trying to be a fly on the wall between conflicts of greater powers. Putting herself in the middle of said conflicts can be extremely dangerous, so her fighting style is aimed around surviving even if she’s backed into a corner. She’ll do whatever it takes to survive, fighting tooth and nail, playing dirty, and using her environment as well as her Devil Fruit abilities to her advantage.

}Dense Bones, Light as a Feather
Tier ★
Weight <-> Flight Speed
While she’s pretty short for a human, Cora is extremely hefty and dense. She’s extremely heavy for her size, which allows her to put incredible force into each of her blows, making her capable of smashing through hardened materials. When transformed with her Devil Fruit powers, she loses this density for the ability to fly extremely swiftly through the sky.
Tough as Nails
Tier ★
Toughness
Cora is built tough. She has a natural ability to shrug off pain even from early childhood. She can tank blows and endure pain better than most. Attacks that might maim or cripple others are weathered by Cora. In the event that she does get attacked on the battlefield, she won’t crumble.
Light on her Feet
Tier ★
Speed
Cora is fast out of necessity. Darting and whipping through active battlefields is no mean task, but Cora is up for the job. She’ll do anything to get the big scoop - aside from compromising her morals - and aims to be up in the action personally to obtain the most accurate details. This makes her extremely hard to hit while she’s moving around, which is good for keeping her alive.
Journalistic Spirit
Tier ★
Stamina
Late nights are no stranger to Cora. She’s spent many of them compiling her findings into articles. This has given her stamina in spades, which also serves her well on a battlefield. She can keep moving and fighting long after others have collapsed from exhaustion.

Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Lammergeier
}The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Lammergeier resembles a knotted end of a femur. The shape of the fruit is roughly in the shape of a bird head with one end coming to a point like a beak. The skin of the fruit is black on the bottom and white on top, covered in swirling patterns and dusted with some red pollen. The green T-shaped stem curls on both ends to almost resemble wings.
Caustic Immunity
Tier ★
Disease Resistance
Due to the Lammergeier’s diet of carrion, it possesses a robust immune system that renders it highly resistant to disease. The Devil Fruit user inherits this robust disease resistance while transformed, able to basically stomach anything and endure any sort of disease or other sickness without issue.
Full Fledged
Tier ★
Size
In their Full Fledged form, Cora fully assumes the form of a Lammergeier, though much larger than a normal Lammergeier, capable of carrying several people on her back. This increased size allows her to lift weights and do more damage than she ordinarily could. She has large black wings and talons along with white and red dusted feathers, giving her a fearsome appearance.
Half Fledged
Tier ★
Strength
In their Half Fledged form, Cora is a hybrid of her Lammergeier and original forms. Her arms and legs transform into talons while large wings capable of flight sprout from her back. Her body becomes entirely covered in feathers as her face transforms into an avian one. Tail feathers sprout from her lower back. Cora retains her humanoid stature in this form and grows to about 6’1” (cm). She’s much stronger than she is normally in this form, able to crush and lift things she ordinarily wouldn’t be able to.

Background
}Born on a small island in the Grand Line, Cora grew up under the care of her single father. Her mother had left them when she was little, so Cora only has faint and distant memories of her. Despite that, Cora buried her hurt feelings and disdain for her mother under the excuse that she didn’t need a mother and that her dad was more than enough for her. Her dad, for his part, was gutted by the separation, but put on a brave face for Cora. He taught her the value of a good work ethic, picking up several jobs on occasion to make ends meet. Cora was more than happy to pitch in, getting a job delivering the local newspaper and letters on her home island.
Cora’s father often worked late nights at the wharf, loading and unloading cargo ships. Cora learned how to cook so that he’d have a hot meal to come home to and nothing to worry about. As a result, Cora didn’t have many friends or even much of a social life outside of school, much to her father’s immense worry. Cora insisted that she was fine, but her father made her sign up for at least one extracurricular activity. Cora wasn’t interested in something that was going to take up a lot of time like sports, but the journalism club did pique her interest. Originally, she planned to blow it off, writing whatever fluff article for the school newspaper that she needed to get through the week, but she actually got quite into it. The pursuit of the latest rumors and gossip and getting to the truth at the bottom of it all.
Cora soon became editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and president of the journalism club, though that didn’t earn her too many friends. She did have one faithful follower and lackey who hung on her every word, but that was her only friend. Still, her father celebrated this achievement with a party and thanked Cora’s friend for taking care of her. Cora groaned and pitched a fit, but little did she know that this would be the last time she’d groan at her dad’s antics. That night, Cora’s father discovered a crime that a Marine was actively participating in at the wharf. He returned home to write Cora a note and then went straight to the base commander on the island and reported it, only to find that the base commander was aware and was in on it.
The base commander arranged for an accident in which Cora’s father very nearly died. Due to the kindness of a traveler passing by, his life was saved, but he was comatose, and needed to be shipped off the island for proper medical care. When Cora awoke to a knock on the door, she was distraught at the news that her father had been in an accident. However, upon reading the note her dad had left for her, Cora began to suspect that something was terribly wrong. She investigated the matter herself, spending long nights and finally digging up the truth. She sent a report to the base commander’s commander as well as wrote and had an article published in the local newspaper.
It ruined the Marine base commander, but didn’t endear Cora to the local Marine population who had to endure the watchful eye of a new much more strict base commander. Cora, of course, didn’t care. When they came to her door to teach her a lesson, she was already on the next ship out to the island where her father had been hospitalized. No longer content to be confined to that small little island with its small people and small ideas, Cora sought to report on a much more global scale. She’d expose corruption wherever it hid! And earn money to pay off her dad’s hospital bills! She’d become a journalist that he could be proud of! When he woke up, he’d see her article on the front page of the newspaper.
