Overconfident
King has a bit of bravado in him. And "a bit" means really a whole lot. He is extremely confident in his abilities, even to the point where he may overestimate his own worth in some situations. What is certain is that he really takes himself and his abilities seriously, and he will get quite angry at anyone who tries to belittle him. All in all, he is quite arrogant.
Cunning and Scheming
King is sly, and he will not hesitate to manipulate others to achieve his needs especially when they are an easy prey. He resorts to tricks, fast talk and gaslighting of all kinds in order to get what he wants or to convince others to do his bidding.

Moreover, Rohan is very proud, but this pride can be shattered quite easily because he cannot handle criticism. At that point, he may react in a number of different ways, including throwing a fit or resorting to violence. King believes that the world is a game where only the one at the top can survive, and all other weaker creatures are only disposable pawns in the game that those who are "superior" are playing.
Amnesiac
King had the memory of his past life successfully wiped out, and his personality replaced with the current one. No trace of his former self is present, and he will actively refuse to recognize any and all evidence that he even had a life before the HG Project in the first place. This is the reason why he is thoroughly loyal to Moreau.
Appearance
Physical Appearance
Giving King a definite appearance is hard. Since his body can change colour easily, he may change his appearance day after day. If he chose not to, however, he would appear to possess an unnatural dark beige skin, black sclerae and blood red eyes. His skin would also appear to be marked with black stripes with a geometrical pattern similar to tribal tattoos, although those can be made to disappear through his skin pigmentation control. His hair is two-coloured: black around the sides and red on top. Typically he keep his hair short, sometimes even shaved around the sides, but in any case always sticking up.
He is fairly well built, with a rather lean but athletic physique; this is also the result of the surgery that has been performed on him.
Much like the other HG Project subjects, he is branded with a black "01" mark. This mark is always visible, no matter his abilities, placed on the back of his head.
Clothing & Accessories
Typically, King would only wear the suit that identifies his participation in the HG Project. He however possesses a quite extensive wardrobe, kindly supplied to him by Moreau himself. He then picks the clothing that best allows him to look like an average Joe in any situation.
From this wardrobe his favourite attire is a dark green bomber jacket with black fur around the hoodie, a dark blue tee to wear underneath and black techwear pants and shoes. In general he is the kind of person to enjoy wearing techwear-style clothing the most.
Combat Data
Fighting Style: HG Tactics
King's first approach to fighting is using his camouflaging abilities to blend into his surroundings, or perhaps pose as a different person, before coming out of hiding and striking. This is typically sufficient to take out most of his targets, and so he has developed a series of tactics that he can use to ensure the assassination is performed swiftly and without any issue.
Of course, any assassin needs a plan B. In King's case, this plan B comes in the form of switching from calculated, meticulous strikes to raw power and overwhelming strength. He has learned that the only out alive, when no other option seems to work, is to smash his way out of a bad situation. Because of this, he will throw caution to the wind and start unleashing his most powerful attacks, with the goal in mind to end the fight as quickly as possible.

The combination of Fishman anatomy and Human anatomy also provides King with an exceptional level of strength; he is able to leverage the robustness of human tendons with the elasticity of fish-man muscle fibers to generate a level of strength well beyond the average person.

Muscle fibers in Rohan's body have been interweaved with Octopus Fishman biology, giving his twitch muscle fibers an additional boost in efficiency and strength. This unique blend of mammal and mollusk anatomy multiplies his physical speed, reaching levels that would be considered superhuman.

King's muscles have been enhanced with additional flexibility due to the Octopus Fishman hybridization, and his joints have been loosened to a superhuman degree. This means that King is especially flexible: he may squeeze into spaces impossibly tight for a regular human, dislocate his joints to his advantage at will, or perform acts of flexibility that would injure anybody else.

As part of his training to properly utilize his abilities, King was taught the secrets of the technique known as Life Return. This ability allows King to control his body down to the cellular level, inducing changes in his metabolism and going as far as controlling each of his muscles and strands of hair independently from each other.

Just like all other HG project subjects, in order for his body to work King requires injection of a series of specific chemicals. Those chemicals are also what effectively allows him to use the abilities that his peculiar biology provides; if the concentration of chemicals in his body runs low, King's body responds by tensing up and hardening its muscles. When the "Yaksha" serum is injected into his skin, King sheds this defense in favour of obtaining the ability to finely tune the chromophores on his skin. This effectively allows him to take on a completely different appearance.
HG Tactics: Asura (★)
Inhuman Toughness / Blade Generation
Just like all other HG project subjects, in order for his body to work King requires injection of a series of specific chemicals. Those chemicals are also what effectively allows him to use the abilities that his peculiar biology provides; if the concentration of chemicals in his body runs low, King's body responds by tensing up and hardening its muscles. When the "Asura" serum is injected into his muscles, King gains the ability to control the myriad of blades and metal parts that are stored on the inside of his body; leveraging his fine control over his muscles, he can flex them out at a moment's notice from nearly every part of his body.
Asura's Thirty-Three Devils (★)
Flying Slashes
King's blades are sharp enough that when he takes a swing, he is capable of generating enough force to displace the air after the swing in the form of a flying slash. He may adopt this skill in tandem with his Asura Tactic to quickly generate flying slashes during combat. He has reached a high enough proficiency with both that he is capable of producing a blade, generating a slash, and hiding the blade all in the span of one single attack. This may give the impression that he's capable of simply cutting things at will, especially if his movements are faster than the eye can catch.

HG-01 Chemical Enhancer Suite
With a vast assortment of effects, each impacting King's body in different ways, this series of syringes are designed to quickly inject their contents into King's bloodstream with an efficient design that passively removes any and all air bubbles. Each syringe is branded with the writing "HG-01" and it contains a chemical; the effects of the chemical can last for several minutes or even several hours, and King usually carries a bunch of them at all times with more stored in strategic spots that he can retrieve easily. When he runs low, he is capable of ordering a crate of additional supplies from Moreau himself, so that he never runs out.

Cambion Control + HG Tactics: Yaksha
By exerting his control over the cells that make up his own body, King can change their colour as well as the very proportions that make up his being. In this way, he can force his hair to grow, his body to shift, and his voice to change in order to appear as similar as possible to a different person. In this way, King can impersonate them visually and, with good enough acting, he can even take their place. The only spot that King cannot change or remove is the brand '01' stamped on the back of his head.

Cambion Control + HG Tactics: Asura
Having gained control over the muscles laid on the inside of his skin, King flexes them, causing the seams on his skin to open and unleashing a set of blades that spike outwards. Typically, they spike out from in between his knuckles or from his back. They can be retracted back into King's body just as quick as they can be ejected out.

King's favourite blade is a razor that runs across his right forearm, adjacent to his ulnar bone. It is folded inside of his arm, but he may flex his muscles and cause it to unfurl. When unfolded in this way, it becomes a 1.5m long and 30cm wide blade attached to his forearm.

Cambion Control + HG Tactics: Asura + Asura's Thirty-Three Devils
With one or more blades out, King is capable of performing a swing with such power and precision that it cuts the air itself. This generates a flying slash in the shape of the swing that travels for several meters before losing energy and dissolving back into the air. King can produce this flying slash so fast and with such practiced ease that he gives the impression of cutting things with just a motion of his hand. Typically this is used to cut objects clean in two, or leave multiple cuts on an enemy; more often than not, these cuts come in groups of three.
Background
Rohan Malachai King was born on Cloud Wake, a small island in the South Blue, under a different name, as a different person. A child like any other, in spite of his arrogant attitude that made him kind of a misfit among his peers; even at such an early age he was already building the foundation of the person he would be in the future. His name was Rajendra, but this name has been lost to time - perhaps only surviving on a few documents, somewhere.
His father was an astronomer, and he passed down the interest for the sky and the stars onto the little Rohan The boy would often gaze at the sky through the family's telescope, trying to find new stars to map out.
Some time after his 20th birthday, looking through the telescope, he saw something that looked like a rapidly approaching star: a white flash of light, ever-expanding; eventually, the balcony where he stood was engulfed in milky white light. The last thing ohan could remember was a gloved hand taking a hold of him, and the feeling of being lifted up.
That was the last anyone ever saw of Rajendra. He was transported to the laboratory of a certain Dr. Moreau, where the memory of his past life was completely erased. In the subsequent years, Moreau experimented on him by hybridising his biology with octopi and other mollusks, even going as far as merging anatomy directly from an Octopus Fishman onto his body. Thus was born Rohan Malachai King, the first true success of the HG Project, under the codename "HG-01".
King continued on as a living bio-weapon under Moreau for eight years before a few of Moreau's assistants conspired against him, setting free many of the fellow HG Project subjects. King was one of the few that stayed behind, loyal to his creator; because of this loyalty, he was ultimately tasked with finding the escaped HG Project subjects and return them to Dr. Moreau.
