The Lonely Path
Despite her dreams to bridge the gap between humans and Fishmen, Priscylla finds it to be a difficult and lonely path. She always has an air of gentle sadness about her. She doesn’t regret the sacrifices that she has made and will continue to make, but it is a hard path to walk alone when it sometimes feels futile and like the whole world is against her. To cope with this loneliness, Priscylla takes up a variety of odd hobbies to occupy her time.
The Resolute Path
Priscylla is unwavering in her ideals and the pursuit of her convictions. She never gives up. She always keeps going. No matter what. There’s no other path for her now except the one that winds inexorably forward. She can come across as stubborn and bullheaded, but she simply can’t just give up now that she’s started on this path.
The Martyred Path
Prone to pushing herself well beyond her limits for the sake of her dreams, Priscylla suffers quite a bit physically, mentally, and emotionally. She doesn’t care what happens to her so long as her goals are accomplished. This can lead her to pushing herself too far, taking gruesome injuries or putting herself into situations with hopeless odds. All of it will be worth it so long as she succeeds. She just wants to see smiles on everyone’s faces again.
The Virtuous Path
Priscylla, by nature, has always been an overwhelmingly kind and caring sort. She wants the best for people and believes the best of them. She’s a shoulder to lean on, a helping hand. She wants to be a shining example of how Fishman can be kind and nice and not scary, so she’ll do everything that she can to help those in need without expecting anything in return.
The Knightly Path
Priscylla has committed herself to following her own knight code of chivalry even at personal cost. While she may not always be perfect at following, she attempts to live her life according to these tenets.
Freedom.
Priscylla believes that freedom is the right of all sentient beings. Everyone deserves the power to chart their own course. Those tyrants who would dominate others must be defeated.
Vigilance.
Nothing happens without cause and those who are perceptive enough can tell what is coming long before it happens. Keep a vigil and pay heed to omens whether from nature or otherwise.
Adaptability.
Like the waters of the ocean, Priscylla must be able to shift around obstacles or become an impassable one. To embrace fluidity is to be ready for any challenge.
Courage.
In the face of overwhelming odds, Priscylla stands tall. She is willing to do what needs to be done to achieve her dream, no matter the personal cost. She must never fear to act.
Compassion.
Priscylla lives her life with deliberate acts of compassion. She aids others, protects the weak and the innocent, and punishes those who threaten them. She shows mercy to her enemies, but such mercy is tempered with wisdom.
Equality.
Priscylla treats everyone as an equal. She doesn’t look down on anyone and treats everyone fairly without bias. She tries to be a shining example of honor, fairness, and equity. Her thought is to do the most good while causing as little harm as possible.
Justice.
Laws are paramount to order. Without them, there is chaos and pain. Priscylla does her utmost to uphold law. Those who commit crimes must be punished, but the punishment must be equal to the crime.
Honor.
When Priscylla makes a promise, she will uphold it with her dying breath. Her word is her bond. Without this honor, her every act and word is meaningless. Oaths are not made lightly for this reason, but if she does make an oath, it will be done, or she will die trying.
Duty.
Priscylla must take accountability for her actions. She never delegates her duties or obligations as a result as she is responsible for seeing them through.
Appearance
Priscylla has dusty blue skin with shockingly sky blue eyes. Her messy, spiky hair is a silvery white. A dorsal fin protrudes out from her back. Her preference of outfit for combat is her suit of white armor with blue gems inlaid into it and a navy blue cape with gold trim. Otherwise, she prefers to wear her gambeson, which is a bright white with navy trim and navy pants. Her boots are black. While not the typical Marine uniform, this gambeson affords her some additional protection. She will wear a regular Marine uniform if ordered to do so.

Oath of Oceans
Focus: Spearmanship, Drilling, Hand-to-Hand
Description:
A fighting style primarily on defense and counterattacks, Oath of Oceans requires the use of a lance to keep enemies both out of close quarters and within reach. If it comes to close quarters, Priscylla opts to use her shield as a weapon, bashing opponents to put them back within the reach of her lance. She’s capable of grappling as well, having been drilled in the basics of Fishman Karate during her time in the Royal Guard.

}Charybdis
Bequeathed to her by her former knight commander before she left the Ryugu Kingdom Royal Guard, Charybdis is a weapon with significant sentimental value to Priscylla. It is a lance forged into the shape of a drill made from a Kairoseki alloy. The main body of the lance is a deep blue with the spirals on the drill a bright white color, resembling crashing waves. Fire coral is inlaid into the base to power the drill’s rotations, which causes it to smoke in air and bubble underwater.
Kairoseki Drill
Tier ★
Durability
Made from an alloy of Kairoseki and silver, Charybdis is more durable than an average weapon, able to endure more powerful blows before breaking.
Kairoseki Null Point
Tier ★
Devil Fruit Nullification
Due to the Kairoseki present in Charybdis, it has the ability to nullify Devil Fruit abilities on contact, preventing Devil Fruit users from consciously using their abilities.
Kairoseki Contact
Tier ★
Devil Fruit Debuff (Strength)
While in contact with a Devil Fruit user, Charybdis has the ability to drain their strength and make them weak. This doesn’t mean they can’t move, but they will find everything much more difficult to do as the strength leaves their body.
Spiral Power
Tier ★
Armor Piercing
Powered by fire coral in its base, Charybdis is capable of spinning on its own with the press of a button. The spiral shape of the drill allows Charybdis to drill into tough and hard materials with ease, breaking through defenses.

White Shell Armor
A suit of armor from her old days as a Royal Guard for the Ryugu Kingdom, Priscylla’s armor affords her protection against conventional forms of attack. Full plate, every bit of Priscylla is covered in the white armor. It has blue gems inlaid into it. Priscylla often attaches a navy blue cape to it with gold trim.
Masterwork
Tier ★
Durability
Priscylla’s armor was carefully crafted to provide her extra protection. It allows her to endure more damage than she would normally be able to withstand, taking blows that would otherwise injure or kill her.
-~-
Marine Gambeson
A white gambeson with navy blue trim, Priscylla’s Marine Gambeson is heavily padded so as to provide an additional layer of protection underneath her armor to defend against impacts that might bypass her armor’s traditional forms of defense.
Padding
Tier ★
Shockwave Protection
The extra padding that Priscylla’s gambeson provides gives her added protection against impacts and shockwaves that would otherwise bypass her armor. The gambeson’s thick padding disperses the impact, protecting her.
-~-
Surf Shield
Priscylla’s shield is a kite shield and is gold trimmed with the navy blue Marine symbol on a white background. It offers extra defense for when her armor is not enough, though her habit of surfing on top of the shield down slopes or even over water means that she has to repair it somewhat regularly.

Background
}Born on Fishman Island in the Fishman District, Priscylla’s family never had much. Still, her childhood was a happy one, filled with much joy as she played with her sister. When she was young, her parents took her to a rally being conducted by Queen Otohime. She was explaining her dream of coexisting with the surface dwellers called humans and joining them, hand in hand. Priscylla wasn’t very aware of what she meant, so, when they got home, Priscylla asked her parents.
Her parents explained about the tensions between humans and fishfolk. About slaves, and about how humans treated them differently just because of how they looked, despite sharing the same blood. Priscylla didn’t understand why Queen Otohime would want to join them in that case, but her parents continued to explain that not all humans were like that. Some humans were just scared because they looked different, and that Queen Otohime could stop them from being scared by showing them that fishfolk were nice and didn’t want any harm.
Priscylla took to this idea, becoming Queen Otohime’s devout follower. She suffered from bullying at the hands of some of the other Fishman District kids who had decided to hate humans for no reason, but Priscylla took it without fighting back because she believed that they were just scared of humans. She wouldn’t be scared! She’d protect everyone and show them how good a Fishman could be! Other kids called her self righteous, but Priscylla was more and more excited about becoming a knight for Queen Otohime’s cause when she grew up.
Priscylla trained diligently to master various skills and weapons in order to properly prepare herself for knighthood. It wasn’t long until she was inducted as a squire, training under the Royal Guard’s watchful eye. She was still in training when Queen Otohime was assassinated. Devastated, Priscylla viewed the aftermath and tried to think about what she could do to carry on Queen Otohime’s dream. They’d been so close. The people of the Ryugu Kingdom had been willing to put aside their prejudices. But after what happened… they were set back. Moreover, if a human had assassinated Queen Otohime lol everyone suspected, then maybe they hadn’t been close at all. So much work had been put into convincing their people, but they really hadn’t put that much work into making humans less afraid.
Priscylla realized that she would need to work at it from both sides, but she couldn’t do both at the same time. She knew that if she left to go make friends with the humans, her people would view her as a traitor. She needed someone to stay behind and continue convincing the Ryugu Kingdom’s people. In the end, she chose one of her childhood friends to include in her plan. After they knew their part, Priscylla set off from Fishman Island to the surface for the very first time in her life. She knew from warnings that the Sabaody Archipelago was a dangerous place to start, so she traveled far from there to more safe, quiet, and human dominated seas.
She appeared at Marine bases on these islands, trying to enlist, and got turned away again and again. It seemed like no one was willing to allow her into the Marines. She felt discouraged, but she had to keep trying for the sake of her dream. She went from island to island until she landed an island that had a robust little village. She stayed there for a while, trying to help the villagers with little things here and there. There wasn’t a Marine base on this island, but Priscylla wanted to take a break from her quest in any case.
When a couple of kids went missing one day, Priscylla was the first to go looking for them. She found them being kidnapped by a group of sketchy looking bandits. Priscylla defeated them with great effort and brought the kids back home with a smile. Her efforts were celebrated with a party when she returned to the village. During the party, she was approached by an old man who happened to be the children’s grandfather and a former Marine. He handed her a letter of recommendation and told her to give it to the base commander on a particular island. Priscylla, overjoyed, thanked him profusely, and headed out the very next day.
Doing as he said, Priscylla handed the letter in and waited anxiously for the results. The base commander stepped out and called her into his office. He warned her that it was going to be very difficult for her in the Marines. She acknowledged it and said that she didn’t care. He considered her for a long moment but finally agreed to allow her to enlist in the Marines as a Seaman Recruit. Priscylla started to thank him, but he stopped her and told her not to thank him. If she wanted this, she had to prove herself and make things work. This was just the first step.
Now officially a Marine, Priscylla has set out to enforce her own kind of Justice. Equal Justice. She was one step closer to achieving her dream of having Fishman recognized as equals to humans and getting the Ryugu Kingdom onto equal footing with the rest of the world’s nations.
