Personality
– Calico, a testament to his surname and his former status, is incredibly charismatic, able to rouse the most lacklustre crowd to a lusty height with his words or his deeds. An extrovert at heart, he is quick to jabber on and may often wax lyrical, to the amusement of some and the annoyance of others. His former status means he is a whizz at not only strategy, but diplomacy and turning a situation to his advantage. Also due to his former status, though he has a pure heart, he often looks down on people, a habit he is learning to be aware of during his travels around the world helping the downtrodden. It also means he acts a bit pampered and has no idea how life in the real-world works leading often to comical situations ("Berries? What are those? Can't I just get someone to bring it to me?"). He often gets serious when he is forced to cede to any perceived authority figure, when his friends are in trouble and when the weak are brutalised. It is then, that his brutish nature comes forth and it is often unquenchable till an absolute right has been done to any wrong he has been able to witness.

Calico stands at seven feet, a height not at all remarkable in the One Piece world. What is more peculiar are his thick dreadlocks, made out of long, dark, curly hair. The lush locks are partitioned into seven braids on the crown of his head and tied in a sort of topknot to keep them out of his face. The sides of his head are shaved into a slick fade. A feature that draws women to swoon and men to fear him are his amber eyes, which are a light umber on top and a dark ochre below, which gives the appearance that they are on fire. He calls his eyes, symbols of the 'flame of revolution'. Calico has skin the same hue as healthy darkwood. He is incredibly muscular and has tattoos criss-crossing his entire upper body. He is often clad in a thick orange jumpsuit, open to the chest with a black t-shirt that shows underneath and black boots that come up to his shins.
