Appearance

The Ato Ato no Mi is one-third apple, one-third pear, and one-third lemon, it's malformed nature exacerbated by the seemingly drawn on lines that partition it and the differences in visual texture between each part. The apple looks like an artist's depiction of an apple under realism, and the pear and lemon are surrealist and impressionist respectively. The Devil Fruit looks entirely different depending on what angle you view it from.

Ability

The Ato Ato no Mi allows its user to distort the physical appearance and qualities of any object or person under its effects, to the particulars of their aesthetic taste. The user can use the Devil Fruits abilities over anything they come into contact with, but can also spread its influence at range by materializing the distortions as 'thought clouds' which can be physically interacted with.

The distortive properties of the Ato Ato no Mi cause dramatic change in the physical function of whatever their target is, usually to its hindrance. The lines drawn to define where a limb separates from the torso or attaches to sinew and muscle responsible for movement thin, thicken, and fuse to the aesthetic tastes of this fruits wielder. The result is the removal of the original function of the targets appropriate biological design. E.g, someone's legs coming into contact with a thought cloud will change the artistic representation of them, and cause their leg to stop working.

The second function of the Ato Ato no Mi allows the user to externalize the Fruits transformative power into purple, cloud shaped phenomena. These 'thought clouds' can be physically interacted with by anyone or anything that touches them, but will also change the physical form of whatever does.

• Kairōseki (“Sea-Prism Stone”) saps the physical strength of the Ability User and prevents them from consciously controlling or activating their power.
  
• Submersion in water immobilizes the Ability User and causes them to sink, disabling conscious power control.
• Paint thinners and alcohol can remove the layers of 'paint' distorting an individual, freeing them from its effects.
