Sono Sono no Mi
English Name:– Orchard Orchard Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Core Concept:– Growing on Trees
Base X-Poinz Cost:– 200
Permission:– Open
Appearance
The Sono Sono no Mi looks like a green apple, except the stem is way too thick, causing it to look like a tree if you hold it upside down. It has the trademark swirls on the outer skin, and the meat of the fruit is a pale blue coloration.
Ability
The user becomes an ‘Orchard Human’, able to plant anything and make it grow on a tree!
Aspects
Seeds
Seed Conversion (★)
The user can convert inanimate solid objects into a small marble they refer to as a 'seed'. When planted, this seed will grow rapidly into a tree which will sprout the original object as fruit, able to be plucked and utilized exactly the same as the original object, including any substances and materials which may have been contained within, such as bullets or chemicals, even if the materials are liquid or gas (so long as the container was solid). This conversion can be undone in order to get the original object back, but not once the seed has been planted.
Orchardistry
Tree Shaping (★)
The user can manipulate the shape of the trees which grow from the seeds they plant, as well as the rate at which they grow. The fruits will not sprout until the tree itself stops growing, however, though it can continue to grow after the fruit has finished growing. Basically, the user can grow either the tree or the fruits at any given moment.
Weaknesses
- Kairōseki ("Sea Prism Stone") saps the user's physical strength, and prevents them from consciously controlling or activating their power.
- Submersion in water immobilizes the user and causes them to sink, disabling conscious power control, as well as reverting them to their original state.
- Fire is innately bad for any plant life in general. A tree which has been burned down cannot grow fruit. The fruit itself is not innately subject to this weakness unless the original object would be.
- If one were to water his Orchard with seawater, they would immediately die and rot, as would all fruit which has yet to be plucked from the tree. Drinking water and rainwater are fine though.
