Personality

Dollie, at first glance, is sweet and sultry, and she knows how to put herself in one’s good graces very easily. However, those who were wronged by a Longshore would tell you that the family is full of vipers. Dollie Longshore is very analytical, always looking for bits of information that may have slipped through unaware lips. Her memory is comparable to an elephant’s, and a poor soul can absolutely be certain that Dollie doesn’t let things slide.

Flirting comes naturally to Dollie as breathing does. Information is willingly given when someone thinks they can bag a pretty woman with their conniving schemes. Not to mention the free drinks, that’s always nice.

A Longshore isn’t easy to anger, as they often find that keeping calm in any situation is always a win. Never give rise to these strong emotions and watch as their target gets red in the face, giggle behind their backs because it’ll surely be a sight. That being said, the one thing that does give Dollie rise is authority. She despises the government, and finds it wholly ironic that she’s stuck in this position. While she can’t really get rid of her job, she gets back at her superiors by being as obnoxious as possible and simultaneously superb at what she does so they can’t get rid of her. She thinks it to be fun, despite having glaring eyes at the back of her head constantly.

Appearance

Dollie is an attractive woman! She holds her head high and has her shoulders squared at all times. She has glossy, curly black hair that seems to grow any time someone sees it. Her eyes are a nice, fierce green and she has her lips painted a stark red. Her nails are long and tend to be painted in different colors throughout the day, but she usually settles for a nice blue that matches her Marine uniform. She has a beauty mark right under her left eye as well. She sports her Marine uniform in a rather unprofessional way, opting to wear pieces of clothing that are tight and revealing. For who? For herself of course!

Fighting Style

– Dollie isn't fit for hand to hand combat and she'll be the first to admit it. Who would harm such a pretty face anyhow? Her moves are flighty, ranged, and often paired with a hasty exit plan should things go south. Her punches aren't very hard but she can definitely give a mean slap if need be. That being said, she would rather it didn't come to that at all.

Many of her skills are dependent on her cigarettes that she has outfitted to serve her many different needs. Within them she has several tools at her disposal for capturing targets, harming others, or creating a large haze so she can run if need be. That being said, she is known to stash things in her hair just in case it could be useful later on.

Dollie’s hair isn’t just big, it has its uses! She can stick things in there (within reasonable size) and treat it like a bag that she can just pull things in and out of! Is there any limit? Who knows! Dollie for sure doesn’t. A particularly hard knock back will sometimes shake things loose from her locks.

Giants Lungs (Tier 1)
Dollie has an immense lung capacity, allowing her to hold her breath for long periods of time or yell longer than the average human.


Aspect Set (Cigarettes)

Hot Box (Tier 1)
Dollie is never seen without her cigarettes. Her lungs have developed such a resistance to them that she can just fill the space with a single inhale of her cigarette. With one exhale she can completely darken a room in seconds.

Tangible Smoke (Tier 1)

Dollie has the ability to make their smoke tangible and manipulatable. This allows her to change its shape and have other people interact with it as well.

Thousand Lashes

Dollie spins super fast, delivering plenty of powerful whips to anyone in range. The quantity of her lashings depends on how long she spins.

Alpaca Cigarettes (X-tech)
Dollie has a special pack of cigarettes that she keeps nice and safe for when she needs it. Through the use of her Tangible Smoke, each of the cigarettes in the pack are modified so that the smoke from them is given a specific shape. These shapes are as follows:

Lasso Cigarette (Tier 1)
- The smoke in these cigarettes are set to be shaped as a lasso when exhaled. The lasso is able to be manipulated and can constrict Dollie's target. Additionally, they can be dispersed at will.
Bullet Cigarette (Tier 1)
- Dollie inhales the smoke and spits the smoke at her opponent in small bursts that function as bullets.

Background

Dollie came from a long line of scam artists and moochers. These were the types of people who were absolutely parasitic and robbed a man of house and home before they even knew what was going on. Growing up, it was just normal behavior, and her parents would often impart tricks of the trade to her and her siblings. They were never short of money, for the next cash cow would be down the street, sipping his tea and reading the paper.

So when she was younger, following suit in the family legacy, Dollie Longshore went around, using her cute personality to get snacks and eventually moving up to larger prizes like sums of money or material goods. When she matured, however, she found her favorite thing to take from people was information. Information on their backgrounds, families, and even secrets that they hope they had long buried. It’s all she knew to do, and she did it well. If she had genuine romantic aspirations for someone at any point, it easily would’ve been confused for her normal manipulative behaviors.

She did, eventually, hit the wrong target. Unbeknownst to her, one of the people she attempted to black mail happened to be a Marine of high ranking, and she was promptly thrown in jail for extortion. Coming out of it, however, she was offered a position amongst their ranks for her skill and was only promised a position if she could mend her ways and use her skills in the name of justice and the government. Fearing going back into that dank cell she was thrown in (not to mention, any possibility of execution), she agreed.

First, she juggled her initial marine training with a few odd jobs here and there to pay off the debt she accrued while she was locked up, and much to her dismay she was put to work doing the grunt work for higher ranking officers, as one does. She realized real quick that using her cute personality here wouldn’t do her any good, because she always got caught letting others do her chores for her which only resulted in MORE work. So in return, she just hid it better, and learned how to make herself indispensable so they wouldn’t give her the boot. Why was doing nothing much harder than actually doing the job?

All her work came to a head when her squadron was split in half by brigands that thought their party was well worth the effort trying to loot and capture. Dollie and a handful of marines were stranded by themselves from their captain and were forced to deal with brigand threat. During the spur of the moment, Dollie started to give out orders to her coworkers who were too stunned to act. The capture of these brigands made Dollie look favorable, thus giving her more opportunity for small instances where she would fall into grace, despite her best efforts. Three long years and they thought she capable of better ranking, so they pin her with the neat “Ensign” title and commend her growth. Although to her surprise, this title didn’t give her an office and one look from her superior told her she couldn’t refuse. Oops!

Miss Longshore’s awaited return is upon us! So, for the most part this is looking fine, but I think there’s some misunderstanding with the system here, which is fine!

First off, OCs don’t start with Technique Vouchers (this is unique to NPCs), but do gain 1 for every 100 XPz they spend on Aspects. Second, you cannot use Technique Vouchers to buy X-Techs.

So X-Techs are individual techniques that have their own unique Aspect attached. They don’t really attach to equipment, but for the ones you have listed here: I don’t actually think you need to have them as X-Techs at all! In fact, with Tangible Smoke, I think you can do Lasso Cigarette as a regular Technique, and Bullet Cigarette can probably be done in the same way! I would probably suggest an Aspect based around increasing the force with which Dollie can exhale smoke, to better support Bullet Cigarette, but I’m not completely sure of that myself! Might be worth brainstorming that a bit.

So in total, I think you’ve only actually spent 200 X-Poinz on Tangible Smoke and Fire Augment, giving you 2 Technique Vouchers: One of which you’ve spent on Thousand Lashes.
