Personality
Jasper is a free-spirited and optimistic individual, always looking for new places to explore and new challenges to take on. He values the bonds of friendships above all else, treating crew members like extended family and treating their well-being as his responsibility.
Jasper can be short-tempered and often meddles in the affairs of others. In particular, he can’t stand to see others being pushed around or oppressed, as he believes all sentient beings deserve to be free. He also believes that the circumstances of one’s birth should not dictate how society treats them, and judges people by their character rather than by their class.
Despite being a pirate, he still has the affectations of a wealthy aristocrat - dresses well, has good etiquette, and acts honorably - or at least, as honorably as a pirate can act.
Appearance
Jasper lives up to his epithet- his dark blue hair is always perfectly styled into a ‘Brutus’ hairstyle with neatly-trimmed sideburns, his face is always clean shaven, and he dresses to the nines in what we would call Regency-style with tailcoats, vests, and trousers. He almost always has a smile on his face and a twinkle in his sea-green eyes.
Traits
Inhuman Strength: Jasper is much stronger than he looks thanks to his training in Fish-Man Karate, both guided and solitary exercise. His strikes carry an almost explosive strength, capable of sending his foes flying.
Water-Adapted: A lifetime of sneaking out to the ocean and a burgeoning mastery of Fish-Man Karate has made Jasper able to fight as well underwater as he can on dry land. He can also hold his breath longer than average humans.
Fighting Styles
Name:– Fish-Man Karate

Description:– The legendary martial art school developed by the Fish-Men, utilizing water in its many forms in tandem with powerful physical strikes. Jasper was taught the art of Fish-Man Karate after liberating a group of Fish-Men from a gang of slave-trading pirates.
Background
Jasper Bonnet the Third was born into a very wealthy family with connections to the World Government. He received the best tutoring that money could buy and was brought up to be a perfect gentleman. However, Jasper had no interest in the typical trappings of the aristocratic life. For as long as he could remember, Jasper could feel the call of the ocean deep in his heart.
Jasper would sneak out of his family’s mansion in the middle of the night to walk along the coast of his home island. It was during one of these midnight walks that Jasper encountered an orca tangled up in a fishing net. Not content with just letting the orca suffer, Jasper cut the orca free.
However, it seemed the orca did not simply swim off after Jasper freed it. Every time Jasper would walk along the beach at night, the orca would be there. Jasper befriended the orca, naming him ‘Okeanos’, or ‘Okie’ for short. Jasper had assumed when he’d freed Okeanos, Okeanos was a fully grown adult orca. However, over the years Okeanos would keep growing and growing. Jasper did some research and found out that Okeanos was a ‘Ship Orca’, a species distantly related to Island Whales and named for how they could be used to sail the seas. Ship Orcas like Okeanos can grow to the size of brigantines or even galleons.
However, Okeanos’ growing size attracted more and more attention, and it wasn’t long until Jasper’s family caught wind of Jasper’s midnight excursions. They forbade him from going out to the ocean. When Jasper ignored the restrictions, his family began to discuss killing the orca. Jasper overheard these plans and decided he was going to save Okeanos once again. He gathered his belongings and swiped a few valuables to pawn off before running off with Okeanos.
Jasper and Okeanos explored the seas together, going wherever the currents took them and getting into many adventures. During one such adventure, Jasper and Okeanos came across a ship of slavers en-route to Sabaody Archipelago to auction off some abducted Fish-Men. Jasper and Okie weren’t keen on leaving the Fish-Men to their fate, so Okie rammed the slaver’s ship to pieces and swallowed the slaves from the debris. The Fish-Men were thankful for Jasper and Okie’s bravery and repaid it by instructing Jasper in Fish-Man Karate.
However, Jasper’s intrusion was not taken kindly, leading the government to declare Jasper Bonnet the Third a pirate. When Jasper learned of this, he merely shrugged his shoulders and said. “Welp, I guess I live the pirate’s life now.”
Jasper took to the ways of the pirate with surprising ease. His Fish-Man Karate skills allowed him to hold his own in a fight, and Okie could easily smash up ships with his powerful tail. Jasper’s exploits began to spread far and wide, and with his fancy clothes, aristocratic upbringing, and for targeting only ‘the treacherous and the wicked’, Jasper gained the epithet ‘Gentleman Jasper’.
