Are you ready for me to rock your world~?!
The Slamazon - Cassidy Calaway
"No no, I know this guy who saw him, and they say he's bigger than a bear, and twice as ugly?"
"You sure? I mean, I always figured under that mask he was kinda handsome? Like one of those knights from a story?"
"Then why's he wear the mask, huh? I bet the ladies would be all over our back alley hero otherwise?"
The bar just as busy as ever, folk seemed to hustle and bustle about while others sat or stood with a drink in hand and perhaps the company of others to enjoy, and one such group gathered around a round table to discuss the news of their latest local celebrity. Unsurprising really given how they had become the talk of the town of late, an apparent vigilante who has been giving the local mobsters a bruising that few could argue was well deserved and many seeming to quietly applaud them, the real intrigue seemed to lay in who it really was behind the mask, which seemed to send many rife with rumour and reports of disgruntled marines and pirates with an honest streak, and few seeming to suspect a truth that sat right before their noses.
“You guys even sure it's a 'he' at all, eh?” One such party at least seeming to show herself able to think outside the box as it were but perhaps also aided by an unfair advantage, cassidy calaway couldn't help but intrude upon the discussion as she moves across the floor with a rag in hand and mind the clean the place up, and did so with a grin as she suggested that they might be barking up rather the wrong tree indeed with their speculation.
“Maybe those boys've pissed off the wrong person's nanna, eh?” That same feeling of 'intuition' leading the lass to cover quickly however as she leaned forward and scoops up a couple of empty mugs that had been left before them, the fair fox flashed them not only a wink with her joke but also an even more generous vista of one of the towns more picturesque valleys thanks to how she had opted to tie her shirt this evening, and then straightened up as she waited to see just how well she had seemed to conceal her tracks as it were.
"Bwahahahahaaa!!! Yeah, definitely supergran eh, Cass?"
For that reason feeling no shortage of relief when it seemed that her little joke landed rather squarely and sent the table into a combined chuckle thanks to her suggestion, the blonde breathed with relief as she found herself assured of the fact that the cat had been stowed securely in the bag once more, and yet, at the same time couldn't help but feel a note of disappointment as well.
“Even mobsters should know there ain't nothin' worse than a pissed off Grandma, right?” Perhaps this the reason why she shook her head as she tossed a rag in the air and then mopped up the spills which had been created by agitation and the effect of alcohol soon afterward, though it was wonderful to note that the populace seemed abuzz with energy and excitement like it hadn't felt for years, Cassie couldn't help but feel a bit of a let down when it came to her own esteem. I mean, it made sense to hide her identity, didn't it? But on the other hand even now she couldn't help crave a moment in the spotlight, could she~?
