Loguetown, the perfect place to conduct some business with the right people. If there's anything that pirates need, it's always more guns, the 500 beli to the 1,000 when bought at Toroa, and sold at Loguetown. In other words, he's bought about 250,000 beli's worth of guns from Toroa, and planned to sell them at Loguetown for 500,000 beli to an interested party. Some crew called the Silver Eyed Pirates. Pretty fancy, and naturally one would think; are they actually silver-eyed? That was his most trivial thought at the beginning of this, if it weren't for the way that the deal went down.
It was set at a construction site not in use that day, very deliberately picked and chosen for that date. He brought his own men, the entirety of the silver-eyed crew were in attendance. All went well, until his crew counted the beli, only coming up to 400,000 beli. The pirates feigned ignorance, pretending that they heard otherwise from the agreed amount. Before Gale could even calm down the heat of the moment, guns were being shot, bodies were dropped and before he knew it, a majority of the people involved in the deal were shot down and killed. He was sure that marines would be all over the scene, so he had to think on the spot.
He played the good samaritan, the moment that he saw the first marine, he "reported" the bodies. Gale had been behind cover the whole time, not involving himself in the fight. The moment that he decided to check things out, all he saw were bodies of both pirates and his own mooks, he assumed that anyone else ran. And he had no doubt that he would've been linked one way or another to this, so he had to control that narrative. Only thing is, he didn't expect the marine response to be so strong. The whole scene is now littered with marines, investigating the bodies, guns, and even the chest of beli containing 400,000. Regrettable, and all in all, this was a complete loss. It'd take some time to build up that money again for another deal but for now, he had to get out of there as soon as the marines would allow him to.
No blood was thankfully on him, but he only wore an black buttoned shirt, dark blue pants with black lined patterns and smart black shoes. He was wearing a white-vest with a golden-lined pattern before, but he had to throw it out. He had to look like an "average man", and even went as far as to messy up his swept back hair. So far, he was currently sat down on a wooden crate by the entrance to the construction site. His alibi is a man named Robin Huyck, just casually walking along the street, saw the bodies and blood and then reported it. That's all the marines really knew. He just hoped they didn't go into extensive questioning about his background.
