}Personality
Courageously Stubborn
Pig-headed and stubborn, Noland doesn’t really know when to stop or give up. As a Marine, he fancied himself a proud warrior, one that doesn’t hold back from a fight or challenge and this didn’t change as a father. As a father, Noland continued to hon his skills as a fighter, making sure that his combat prowess didn’t wane just because he wasn’t a marine. He’s also the type of guy who does not know when to take no for an answer, nor when to give up. As a child, this trait often got Basil in trouble with other adults, and his stubbornness labeled him as a quote on quote “problem child” by his village elders. With that being said, Noland’s stubbornness often leads him to act vigorously when he is determined to achieve his ambitions or overcome an obstacle- albeit, such stubborn nature commonly leads to sheer recklessness.
Mischievous Demeanor!
Liar, cheat, traitor, and con-man; those are all words that have been used to describe Francis Drake Marlow. First and foremost, Francis is a traitorous worm, one that prefers to work through guile and manipulation. He presents himself as a harmless, bumbling, and sometimes idiotic sage type fellow. Hiding his malicious intentions underneath a facade of stupidity, and sometimes kindness in order to get their expectation and guard. With that being said, Francis is nothing more than a manipulative, calculating, and a notorious schemer that oozes charisma.
Cruel Ambitions
An morally apathetic individual, Francis will do almost anything in order to achieve his ambitions. He has been known to resort to treachery, blackmail, thievery, and even murder in order to pursue his ambitions further. Heck, even money, fame, and to a certain point, power is nothing more than a means to achieve his ambition. At times, even people are nothing more than tools to be utilized and then disposed of; at least, depending on how much he liked them and how much they pose a threat to his alternative plans. Heck, Francis even seems willing to be extremely patient and wait long periods of time, just so that the stars align to better suit his needs. There is literally nothing that this man wouldn’t do to pursue his dream.
PT4
Francis has a bizarre sense of morality. On one hand, he is not afraid to commit terrible crimes such as murder to get what he wants, and well, he is admittedly willing to go back on his word. With that being said, for the most part, Francis is not naturally cruel– only resorting to cruelty when absolutely necessary. Even more odd is the fact that, Francis does not hold grudges against people, especially, when those individuals are just “doing their duty.” The only exception to this however, seems to be towards the World Government and Marines as an organization. In his own words, he can’t blame people for doing what they need to do to protect themselves or their family.

Description.
Appearance
Francis is an abnormally tall fellow. He stands about eleven feet-thirteen inches, with a massive round pear-shaped build, robust shoulders, and thin limbs- at least, thin compared to the rest of his body. As a lion mink, Francis' body is entirely covered in tawny fur, and his fingers are tipped with dagger-like black claws; alongside, a long curly black mane that cascades down his chest, which he usually keeps the tip tied with an ornate golden beard bead. After a series of unfortunate events, Francis lost his right eye; for that reason, he chooses to wear an large black eyepatch, earning him the epithet "Blackeye." Eventually, Francis purchased a fake eye made from an amethyst geode, which was said to be cursed by the dealer. A lover of exotic and luxurious clothing, Francis chooses to wear expensive clothing that often does not much or looks a bit "out of place" on him. Of course, unfortunately for him, Francis does not have the belli to afford such a extravagant sense of style. At this current moment in time, Francis is known to don a ruffled half-button up tunic that exposes his chest, short sleeves that drop just below his elbow, a red slash around his waist, dark brown pants with a black spiraling line pattern, and traditionally buccaneer boots with silver buckles. Over this outfit, Francis wears a pin-stripped forest green coat with a ruffled neckline and sleeves, however, he does not wear this coat over his shoulders like other pirates.

Inhuman Strength
Racial Trait- Mink
While he may not look like it, Bessemer is inhumanly strong, stronger than an average mink. This is due to a combination of unique genetics, and hard work and training, which in return, allows Bessemer to perform feats of strength that others could not. With this superhuman strength, Bessemer can lift boulders, logs, and other great weights, and using this strength can deliver blows stronger than what an average person would be able to do.
Inhuman Stamina
Racial Trait- Mink
In tandem with his inhuman strength, is his incredible stamina, and his will to survive. His stamina is above average compared to everyone else, especially a mink stranger. Bessemer can exert himself and remain active for abnormally long periods of time, and withstand, and recover from fatigue or wounds far quicker than what is average. This unique stamina which surpasses an average individual min, is believed to have been fostered by the harsh Funk yard environment. Whatever the case, if his inhuman strength won’t break an opponent, his ability to last longer certainly will.
Gasha Gasha no Mi
Devil Fruit Trait
Bessemer accidentally ate the Gasha Gasha no mi, a special paramecia-type devil fruit that turns the consumer into a “steel human.” As a “steel human,” Bessemer can manipulate, produce, and transform into his devil fruit substance, which is steel. With this devil fruit, Bessemer can turn into steel to become invulnerable to conventional attacks. With that being said, Bessemer’s steel nature makes him extra susceptible to acid, which is his natural elemental weakness.

Background
}Noland was born in the country known as Lvneel, located in North Blue. He lived with his mother and father and his younger sister Amelia. As a child, Noland’s father was around much, primarily due to his status as an active member of the Marines. That said, Noland came to idolize his father and, consequently, the Marines. When his father was around, it was usually just for a couple of weeks, rarely a month—even then, Noland’s father was a strict fellow. He didn’t show emotion often, and the few emotions he saw were usually irritation towards Noland.
Growing up, Noland was a bit of a menace, a fact that irritated his father to no end. He constantly got into fights, primarily because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and had the reputation of a troublemaker. Not only was he a troublemaker, but Noland was also a bit of a bully, openly mocking those he thought to be weak in an attempt to “toughen them up,” just like how his own father toughened him up. Eventually, Noland’s “bully-like” nature slowly disappeared as he grew older and joined the Marines.
Joining the Marines, however, did not weaken his rebellious resolve. Noland often got in trouble at the Marine Academy, primarily due to the fact that he had trouble taking orders from other people and preferred to take charge. A superior officer once described him as "defiant, stubborn, and blunter than a steel bat." For that reason, promotions became relatively rare and far between after graduation from the Marine Academy. As a Marine, Noland claimed to be a “stickler for the rules,” but this mostly applied to other people and not himself. In reality, Noland was willing to bend, break, and twist the rules whenever he saw fit.
Despite his rebellious streak, Noland was an effective leader and diligently performed his job—granted on his own terms. Due to his leadership skills, Noland was able to achieve the rank of Petty Officer, and, while celebrating his promotion, met his future wife. After a romance and then marriage, Noland’s wife had a son—Dominique “Pour” Declan when Noland was 24 years old.
Five years later, Noland’s wife died from a mysterious disease, leaving him as a single father. Heartbroken and wanting to protect his son no matter the cost, Noland retired from the Marines and started a small butcher shop in his hometown. He raised his son to the best of his ability, teaching him how to hunt and fight and telling him stories about his time as a Marine, hoping his son would follow in his footsteps.
Dominique had other plans. Noland’s son did not want to become a Marine like his father but wanted to pursue the world and attain absolute freedom. Francis wanted to travel to every island, uncover the secrets of the one piece, and “discover the meaning of life.” At sixteen, Dominique left his father’s home, setting out with adventurers and scholars in a thirst for adventure and freedom. Noland wasn’t mad, merely worried and heartbroken.
Noland kept up with his son through letters. In the letters, Dominique wrote about all of their adventures, and what his crew was up to, and constantly assured his father “not to worry.” However, the letters grew darker and darker, Dominique started to run into trouble with the Marines, and eventually, the letters stopped altogether. Fearful of what may have happened to his son, Noland left his shop in the hands of a family friend and decided to disembark on a quest to bring his son back home—no matter the cost.
