Never Give Up
"Give up" does not exist in Zhan's dictionary. If he wants something he will, will it and chase after it. No matter how far beaten down he gets, he will try and give it his all. No matter how many times he is toppled over he will always stand back up for another round. Giving up is simply not an option, after all... a good hunter always adapts. Otherwise, they risk going extinct.
What Plan? Oh... that Plan... Meh!
Being a driven person, Zhan always has a plan of action. A goal to achieve! Something to do! The problem is... well... he is rather fickle and often doesn't stick to his plans or goals. He is in all essence unstable. This can even extend to relationships, specifically toward rivalries. It's common for Zhan to pick up a rival but as soon as he defeat them, they simply cease to exist to him. Completely dumping them if you will.
Is that a challenge!?
Zhan is extremely competative, if anyone challenges to anything he will immeaditly make a game out of it. Of course, his intentions are to win. In fact Zhan loves games! He can be rather playful and smug when in a good mood. This can of course get in the way when in combat making him not take the situation all too seriously.
Driven by Dreams
Ambition and the will to move around and do something is what drives this man. To Zhan if there is nothing to pursue then life lacks meaning. Living without purpose is simply not living to him. He needs a goal. A drive. Something to do. Those who lack such ambition to him are uninteresting and will often ignore them. This is also another reason for his fierce independence, Zhan craves freedom. The freedom to do as he pleases and go where he pleases not tied down by anything or anyone.
Tsundere
To say that Zhan doesn't feel anything toward others is a lie. He in fact feels a lot, in fact his sister is proof of this. Deep down he loves her very much. Although he is unlikely to ever admit it openly. Instead being prone to tease and act distant with those he is most close to. Pretending he doesn't need them when he actually does.
--
▪︎Physical Appearance: Zhan stands at six feet, six inches in size. Being of rather tall and of a relatively athletic build. His skin is a nice shade sienna which contrast against his dark brown hair and golden eyes. He usually has a calm lazy look on his almond shaped eyes and a smug smile to boot. His hands have grown out claw-like nails accentuating his cat-like features. He also boasts a pair of cat ears, fangs, and a short stubby tail typical of a Lynx.
▪︎Attire: Being a huntsman, Zhan tends to wear what he hunts. His clothing is made from leather, furs, and bones. Even his jewelry is made from the bones and teeth of the prey he hunts. This in turn is convenient as Zhan doesn't waste anything from what he hunts. He consumes the flesh, wears the skins, and uses the bones for tools and decorations. Since he mostly wears pelts his clothing is usually browns, blacks, and the occasional white in color. Zhan also wears face paints usually white in color and made from tree sap, these are simple and usually just simple pointed stripes which he occasionally switches up.

Raised in a foster home in Dressrosa, Zhan had a rather unconventional upbringing. Even as a young child he was fiercely independent preferring to rely on himself and sort of just do his own thing. This of course upset Mama Mia, his foster parent who really wanted him to work for his food and safekeeping. Work in this case being stealing coin. Zhan wasn't interested in being a petty thief, it wasn't exactly his cup of tea. There was no fun to be had there. So instead the boy took to hunting and cooking his food, always defying the wills of Mama Mia much to her disgust. For all intents and purposes, he was useless to her, but continued to survive due to his own craftiness.
Sadly, the same couldn't be said for another of his foster siblings. She... was well... a bit of a space cadet. Always in her own little world. She probably would have been a competent thief otherwise. Zhan despite being independent, took pity on her, besides if he could teach her instead of feeding her? Then... she wouldn't become a burden. What was the saying? Give a man a fish and feed him for a day? Or teach a man to fish and keep him fed for a lifetime. With that in mind, he began to teach her how to hunt and cook. Quickly, the young lady became very proficient in the art, surprising Zhan with her natural skills.
Her incessant hunger and drive to feed herself only aided her more. However, something else happened as he taught his sister how to hunt. He noted that the more time he spent with her the more he was starting to enjoy her company and soon he started to actually deeply care for her. It was an odd feeling for Zhan, he had never experienced such a thing in his life. It didn't help that his sister was also rather affectionate, likely due to his teachings. Still, attachments were something that worried him. Seeing the other siblings operate showed him that much.
One day on his sister's birthday he found a very strange fruit in one of his brother's gardens. He decided to take it and hand it over as a proud gift for his sister, she had become a cook even more skilled than Zhan himself so she could likely bake herself something tasty with it. However, it seemed that the strange fruit was actually a rather awful tasting, at first Zhan didn't believe his sister. But after taking a hefty bite from it, he keeled over in disgust. That would be a taste he would never forget. Little did he know, he had just fed his sister a Devil Fruit from accident.
Years past and things went on as normal, that is until the day his sister turned 18 and Mama Mia having grown tired of her kicked her out. When this happened, Zhan had gone out on a two-week hunting trip so he had missed the whole ordeal. Upon returning he was shocked to see that his sister had actually been kicked out. This... made the young man worry more than he cared to admit. A person like her would surely get herself killed easily, especially in a sea as dangerous as Grand Line. Without thinking it twice he set out to find her! He spent months at sea following her tracks, sure enough, almost every town, every island, every port had something to say about her. She was hard to miss given her appearance and nature. But it seemed like she was always an island or two ahead of him. Until one day he finally caught up. But what he was met with was something that angered him greatly. Apparently, his sister had married and then gone to pass in her sleep, and perhaps even stranger her ghost haunted the very building for many days. That last bit seemed very strange to Zhan but... he decided not to question it. The evidence was clear, mother nature had caught up to his sister finally. Perhaps she had eaten something that caused her to poison herself.
With that Zhan decided to go on his own path, always plotting revenge on Mama Mia. He would not let this one slide. That was, of course... until he heard a revolt against his foster mother had happened. Ultimately leaving Zhan completely free. He didn't have to return home ever. He didn't have anyone. This is what he wanted. No? True freedom without any connections. Perhaps, but it sure felt lonely sometimes. He missed his sister greatly. But for that reason, he would pursue his goals. He would become the greatest hunter the world ever knew. He would have, Kaido's head as a trophy.
