Sister Aurora passed her time on the long journey by mostly teaching Podrick the rabbit new harmless tricks and making idle chit chat with those that would talk with her. It gave her time to perfect the persona that she had brewed the night before. The repressed sister with fantasies of something grander but being content with the position she was given, happy to help anyone that asked for or needed it. When the captain eventually came to fetch the Father and the Sister that was to be his aide, she jumped to get ready in eagerness. Even with the things she was doing to stave off the boredom it had gotten to her after an entire day of travel.
“It’s a cute meeting party.” Leiya- Aurora replied, gently nudging the man so he would slip into the character of a priest and not a cynical spy that just wanted some time off. She smiled warmly and held Pod in one arm before outstretching the other in an offer to shake the elders… after she gave the entire welcoming committee a low bow.
“Thank you, Mr Christensen, It was long but relaxing. Thank you for asking. I am Sister Aurora, and this is Father Custer.” She said with a great big smile and a waving of her free arm in the direction of Alistair to indicate that he was the father and not the sailor who was now doing his damndest to get the boat unmoored so they could get away from this dull little island. Her arm returned to her rabbit to run her fingers over his head and ears just after he offered a little squeak of annoyance.
“Oh, and this is my Podrick. I rescued him when he was just a baby and he has been so clingy ever since.” She said with a soft and harmless giggle to help cement her more airheaded but earnest nature of a soft girl that could cause no harm. The only thing she struggled to hide was the analytical eyes of hers that scanned each and everyone of the villagers, the houses and surroundings for vantage points, places to hide and threats… Old assassin ways died hard, and luckily old coots like this wouldn’t notice the wandering eyes of a Girl who just arrived.
