Alistair #1
"Alistair, I just spoke with our accountant. She told me that you haven't had a single day of vacation since you started! You know our division is on a budget right now. I can not pay the extra to you, so why don't you take some time off? Like two months or maybe three? Try to rest a bit, travel, pick a new hobby, just...stay away from the office alright?"
These words appeared in Alistair's mind with a hint of bitter irony as it took only two weeks before he was called back on duty.
It all started with the "quick job" on Strawberry Hill and before he realized it, he was on a small boat, in the middle of nowhere, following a Vivre Card he received from his contact. He was looking for one of these mobile bases his agency was using, when they needed to deploy their agents quickly, or when there will be a joint operation with members of other agencies who didn't need to know the exact location of their bases and safe houses. Both options spelled nothing but troubles.
But orders were orders and so he was paddling towards a large ship, anchored in the middle of nowhere, that was full of lower-ranking agents and support staff. He sent his code earlier via light signals so he had a clear passage to the ship. Once on the deck, one member of the support staff immediately took care of him.
"Agent Crow?"
Asked a young man in his early twenties wearing a standard sailor uniform. Alistair silently nodded.
"Excellent, my name is Stuart and I was assigned as your guide and assistant for the time of your stay, please follow me."
He led him through the large ship into a cabin located on a second deck. It was empty. Small room, with a single table, three chairs, and visual Den Den Mushi.
"You arrived a bit earlier, so please make yourself comfortable and wait for your partner. I'll bring you some refreshments in the meantime."
The agent watches as his assistant disappeared in the corridor outside of the door, before taking one of the presented chairs.
"Partner huh...this is getting better every second."
He muttered sarcastically.
