Feline and surfer both watched dumbfounded as the red sun in front of them stood up and ran out of the room in a blitz. The speed with which she ran out caused the door to shut close and leave the two companions to themselves yet again. Guy looked to Lea, her to him. Their faces were visibly very red but slowly returned to their natural complexion. For a brief moment they really had nothing to say to each other concerning what transpired except for a simple,
"What the fudge just happened?" Immediately the pair jumped back at how identical their reactions were - staring intensely into one another's eyes - until suddenly breaking out into a fit of laughter and clapping. "Didja see how red we got?! Bahahaha!" Lea struggled to say through her uncontrollable giggling, crying tears in the process.
Guy, ever the serious one, wiped a single tear away as he tried to remain stoic through this nonsense only to ultimately bellow a loud guffaw at the sheer ridiculousness that they went through in the last few minutes. "I - HEHE - I thought our heads were going to explode!! We could've alerted some nearby Marines with how bright we were, AHAHAHA!!" Lea fell back in her chair and slapped her thighs repeatedly at the lad's joke. As the two kept up the comedy hour, her face then twisted into a stifled grin as she tried to suppress her laughter due to another comic thought arising out of her.
"G-Guy. what if!!" she desperately tried to hold her tongue for this next one, "What if we wore some antlers? Put some sleigh bells on the side of the ship?" The man nodded along with the setup though not sure where she was going with this. Lea giggled trying to say what comes next, "You put the three of us, glowing bright red in the front of the Runner?" She raised her brow for the impending punchline. "HO HO HO! HERE COMES HARLEY CLAUS!!" As stupid as the surfer's joke was, the hilarity of the situation only made it that much funnier for the lad as he coughed and howled his lungs out with the elvish tot sitting next to him.
For a bit while the two continued to enjoy the remnants of that awkward ordeal for a bit longer, laughter slowly dying down to mere chuckles and snickers until finally they sat back in their chairs exhausted and out of breath. Guy looked down at his lap and remembered the doll Brandy had thrown back at him earlier. He held the toy in his gentle hands and smiled. "Lea," he said softly.
The lass lazily turned to him and grinned curiously at his remark, "Hm?" For a moment she was taken aback. She saw the fellow look tenderly at her unlike anything she'd ever seen of him. Strange, she thought. "Wassup dude?" The lad's smile subtly widened as they shared a glance. He looked away then back to the doll of Brandy before breathing through his nose and answering, "Could you please leave me to work for a bit? I want to finish coloring all of these."
Lea frowned at the request. She stared at the plain wood figures scattered across the desk and sighed with resignation. Playtime was bound to end eventually she supposed. Perhaps she could bother someone else in the meantime. The girl got up from her chair and walked to to the door with a strut, "Aight boy, thanks for the laughs."
As she turned the handle to leave, a warm reply came from the carpenter's work desk, "Thank you for being you. It was fun!" Lea felt her cheeks grow hot once again before she huffed and stepped out into the hall and closed the door behind her.
