}Personality
500 Megaton Bomb of Murderous Rage with a Microscopic Fuse
As the name might suggest, Bonny is 41 cm of highly compressed homicidal rage. She has an incredibly short fuse, and even looking at her wrong could set her off. Heavens help you if you’ve actually done something to deserve her rage. She’s violent, vicious, and just downright mean in general. She’s abrasive to a fault. Anger just might be her default state. She might even like being angry.
Brooding Wannabe Edgelord
Bonny wants to frighten and intimidate! But, mostly, she just wants to look cool. Her sense of style involves assorted blacks and reds, long capes and hoods, gothic, victorian style armor and clothes. Unfortunately for her, that style doesn’t suit her rainbow shelled ass at all. She tries to act cool and brooding as well, but usually ends up blowing a gasket and snapping at people when she inevitably fails to garner their respect.
Bullheaded Idiot
Simultaneously unbelievably stubborn and stupid, Bonny just doesn’t know when to quit. Her mouth gets her into a lot of trouble because she just can’t stop until she gets the last word in. She talks and acts without thinking, charging headlong into any challenge to just punch murder it to death. She doesn’t really understand the concepts of nuance or finesse. She’s basically asking for it.
Surprisingly Sensitive
Despite her extremely abrasive and callous personality, Bonny can actually be quite sensitive about certain things, though she’s terribly loath to show that vulnerable side of herself. She’s profoundly hurt by the loss of her merfolk friends. She’s scared to lose anyone else, so her default is just to push everyone away and make them hate her. It’s easier that way for everyone.
Begrudgingly Has a Heart - Sometimes
Bonny has the capacity to actually be a nice person. But, as with her more sensitive side, she’s unwilling to indulge in it very often. When she does, it is always begrudging and trying to hold the people she’s close to at arm’s length. More than words, Bonny is more prone to show this side of herself through her actions.

Appearance
Bonny is a peacock mantis shrimp. She’s got lots of legs and three pairs of arms. One is for grasping, one is for punching, and one is for spearing. She’s got big purple eyes. Her shell is spotted and stripped and all sorts of crazy colors. She’s basically a rainbow. She’s got floppy antennae and little fins that resemble bunny ears. She’s also got a fan-like tail.
Bonny doesn’t typically wear clothes, but sometimes she will wear shirts, capes or oversized hats. She tries to wear edgy clothes to make her look scary, but that usually ends up having the opposite effect on people. She’s tiny too, standing at a miniscule 1.4’ tall (41 cm) and weighing practically nothing.

Combat Data
}Traits
Amphibious
Animal Trait, Optional
As a Peacock Mantis Shrimp, Bonny can breathe in both air and water, and is an efficient swimmer. She can perform normal movements even in the crushing depths.
Mantis Shrimp Physiology
Animal Trait, Optional
Due to the force that Bonny is capable of producing with her punches, her shell is specially adapted to resist impacts. The layers of her shell effectively act as shock absorbent armor. As such, she can take beating much better than the average critter. This armor covers all of her many limbs and body. She also has incredible eyesight that allows her to see polarized light, but makes her a tad colorblind, unable to distinguish the fine differences in color.
People’s Speak
Animal Trait, Free
Bonny was taught how to speak by her Merfolk and Fishman friends when she was just a little baby shrimp. She didn’t have the opportunity to learn many swears, so she made up her own.

Background
}Bonny has a short but extremely colorful history. She was born in a coral reef somewhere out in the Grand Line. She was one of hundreds of eggs cared for by her mother. She also had hundreds of siblings in a second set of eggs cared for by her father. She stayed with them only for as long as it took her to become independent - not very. From then on, she happily murdered fish and other inhabitants of the reef to feed herself.
One day, some really strange giant fish came swimming by. Well, their bottom halves were fish anyway. Their top halves looked totally alien to Bonny, so when a hand reached out to pick her up, Bonny’s immediate impulse was to punch it, which got it to go away. Feeling smug, Bonny started swimming away when something grabbed her from behind. She flailed violently, but couldn’t manage to punch it this time. The person picking her up, instead of trying to eat her, actually gave her stuff to eat. It took Bonny a while to be okay with being handled, but she started to look forward to the giant fish aliens coming by to give her free food.
Eventually, Bonny learned to communicate with them in their own language. She’d get a treat whenever she did well, so that was motivation enough. She learned that the giant fish aliens were called Merfolk - though Bonny liked her name for them better - and developed a friendship with them. The one that spent the most time with her was called Jia. Her tail was almost as colorful as Bonny’s shell, so she felt like they had that in common. Jia always laughed when Bonny described her tales of triumph over a clam or other worthy opponent.
Unfortunately, there would come a day when tragedy struck. Jia was swimming through the reef scared. Bonny swam over to her to ask what was wrong. Jia explained that human hunters were after her. Bonny, the overconfident idiot that she was, told Jia to hide while she took care of it. Bonny swam out, spotting an alien creature in the reef. That was probably the human. Well, Bonny carried herself right over to them and unleashed a flurry of her super deadly punches.
They noticed her after the first one. They scooped her up into a net and took her out of the water, something that had never happened before. She didn’t even know there was a world above the surface of the water. Not long after, Bonny was stuffed in a hold buried under all sorts of other different shellfish. She freaked out. She punched wildly, trying to climb her way to the top only to get buried again.
Time passed, and Bonny and the other shellfish were eventually poured out into smaller bins with no opportunity for escape. She was shipped out in this container filled with other shellfish to a strange place. A restaurant. They were kept outside, near the ocean. This was when things turned from a really bad day and plunged into literal hell. The humans bound her punchers with strange elastic restraints. One by one, she saw other shellfish getting taken out of the tank that they were being kept in.
Bonny’s understanding of language wasn’t good enough yet to grasp the meaning of what was being said. Some of the concepts were alien and went over her head. But there was one thing that she did understand. Humans came to this place to eat. Her time eventually came, and Bonny saw first hand the horrors of the restaurant. They were going to eat her! She watched as a fish got his head chopped off, screamed as a live octopus was pushed into boiling water, and flailed when she was set on the cutting board.
Her struggling wasn’t for nothing. Bonny managed to slip one of the restraints and punched the knife away. She scrambled away, making a mad dash through the kitchen with the humans chasing after her. They were gaining too. She managed to get outside and into the window of the neighboring building. In the end, she dove into another tank and hid behind a different mantis shrimp. That one the humans grabbed and took away. She’d escaped. But she’d also condemned a different shrimp to their death.
As the days went by, Bonny managed to remove the other restraint and look around the tank. It was empty aside from her. She found that odd. And disconcerting. Listening to the humans milling around, she determined that this was a… pet shop? What the heck was a pet? Another weird concept that she didn’t understand. But she was ready this time. When they came for her, and they did come for her, it seemed like they were ready too. They caught her with a net, rendering her punches ineffective.
Stuffing her into a bag, Bonny was transported to another unknown destination. It ended up being a nobleman’s aquarium. She wasn’t the only inhabitant this time either. There were Merfolk here! Bonny went over to them and tried to get a feel for what was going on. They explained to her what a pet was - Bonny was infuriated by it - and what a nobleman was. Some stooge that had a puffed up sense of importance that thought they could own people because of their heritage and money. It made Bonny’s blood boil. But the worst thing was… Merfolk would be taken out of the aquarium, and they wouldn’t come back.
Bonny instantly thought of the restaurant. When she brought it up with her new Merfolk friends, they were incredulous. Bonny didn’t know why they didn’t believe her. She used to kill all sorts of things and eat them. Humans seemed to do it too, but kept them in tanks so that they’d be as fresh as possible or whatever. The Merfolk seemed to think that couldn’t possibly be the case. Bonny knew that she wasn’t too smart or educated in the ways of people, so she decided to believe them.
Sometimes, the noble would come by with his spawn who loved to tap on the glass and bother everyone. They both laughed when Bonny and the Merfolk flinched at the loud sound. Bonny hated that. She hated being used for food or decoration or entertainment. She hated it. She hated it so much. Bonny turned to vegetarianism during her stay in the aquarium, having lost her appetite for anything with flesh after her experiences in the restaurant. She made friends with the Merfolk. She laughed with them. She cried with them. She promised them that they’d all get out of this together.
But they kept disappearing. One by one, they kept vanishing. More Merfolk arrived to replace her friends, but Bonny grew distant and cold. Her time at the restaurant laid in the back of her mind like a festering wound. It had to be that. And, if it was that, she had to know. So, one night, Bonny escaped the aquarium when they took one of her friends. She followed in secrecy until they arrived at their destination. The kitchen.
The humans went to work tying her friend down, but Bonny sprang into action with a scream. A struggle ensued as Bonny fought viciously for her friend. But, one of the humans smacked her with a pan. Bonny hit the wall and everything went black. When she awoke, she was back in the aquarium. She sprang to her feet. She searched. But her friend was gone. Bonny screamed. She cried. She shouted at the top of her lungs to the other Merfolk that they were going to die. The humans were going to eat them.
Some of them had the horrified reaction that she was hoping for, but their fear made them wither and wilt instead of jump into action. The hopelessness in their eyes awakened a sense of powerlessness in Bonny. The Merfolk were scared but defeated. How could they possibly hope to escape without legs. Bonny didn’t understand. She couldn’t understand why they were just giving up. Letting themselves become food. Why?
In a fit of anger, Bonny screamed at them that if they wanted to die, she’d let them and retreated to her cave. She sealed the entrance and curled up inside, privately mourning her own powerlessness and the loss of her friend. It seemed like there was nothing that she could do to stop it either. She was angry. So hopelessly angry.
