Blue waves crashed against the sandy white beaches of the tropical island a new sight for the giant who came from a temperate land of rolling green hills and grassy landscapes. Looking out at the coast Lucien spotted various homes made of terracotta dotting the sunny landscape among the palm trees that danced about. Truly, it was an exotic location for the behemoth. However, it would seem like he wasn't the only one impressed by the sights... the dark-skinned locals of the island seemed rather impressed by the shining giant standing along their coastline.
They murmured and spoke among themselves... there were fear and distrust in their eyes. Lucien was however used to these looks... before coming here he had visited plenty of islands with little people inhabiting them and they all seemed to react the same if not far worse at times. The people of the blues were innocent folk who didn't know anything about the wonderous world at large.
So when they saw something that challenged their view they often didn't take it all too well. There however was something off about the inhabitants of Cinna Island, normally the fear the little people felt was rash. But here it was different, subdued... they were acting like sheep amid a wolf. It was almost as if Lucien reminded them of something... taking a seat on a hill the giant stared down at the town casting his shadow over it.
His face was obscured by the shining helmet he wore. Odd, so very odd. Something made him wonder if the giant who wandered this island had something to do with that. That would be problematic... Lucien had set out of Alturias to defend the small folk from evil and he'd heard stories of a fellow giant with red hair traveling the South Blue fighting criminals to great effect. Farther he heard of a giant meandering around Cinna Island... to him these two figures had to be the same. Giants in the blues were extremely rare. But something wasn't adding up. If this red giant was a bounty hunter capturing criminals... why lounge around one of the most peaceful islands in the entire blue? What was the point? Not just that but why did these folk look like terrified sheep.
The glint of the sun hit Lucien's helmet, the man removed it placing it next to himself. This island was hot... his suit of armor was making him bake. Panting slightly revealed his face... blue hair slicked back... complimented by his ivory face. His grey eyes perused the sea ahead. There was but another question. Where was this other giant? Lucien pulled out a tiny map from his bag and looked at it squinting. Ugh, it was impossible. There was no way he could look at this map especially with the sun's glare. Turning down to the city he spotted a man wearing a light blue guayabera.
"Tally-ho stranger! Could thee please telleth me where I am?"
The man stopped in his tracks and stared up at Lucien turning almost as pale as white snow mid-winter. Lucien lifted a brow in apprehension.
"W-well you're in S-santa Barbados, sir!"
Lucien nodded, that name wrung a bell. If he wasn't wrong this was the main port town of the island. The capital was a different town... Royal City? A very uncreative name if you asked Lucien but he wasn't here to make fun of the inhabitants. Perhaps that's where his giant friend could be found.
"Thanks, stranger! May the Earth Mother bless ye with many a child!"
The knight bellowed, his booming voice overwhelming the average-sized man who immediately booked it once he'd given the giant what he wanted. Lucien simply stared at the man running away... that behavior never got old, did it?
