<Koke Koke no Mi>
Koke Koke coming from “Kokekokko” the noise that roosters make in Japanese
English Name:– Roost Roost Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Owned By:– Kotter Alec
Appearance:– The Koke Koke no Mi resembles an oblong, oval shaped fruit, with S-shaped patterns marking the skin. These S-shapes layer over the swirls that can be found on any devil fruit. The skin itself is a rich brown color, and is bumpy to the touch. The stem swirls in the typical devil fruit fashion, but is much shorter than one would expect. The inside of the fruit is a warm golden yellow, with the fruit almost seeping out of the skin once punctured. The flavor is atypical, with rotting meat and spoiled milk being a good comparison. The fruit also distinctly shares the smells one would associate with these particular items once the skin is broken, which can make swallowing even one bite a rather difficult task .
Ability:– The Koke Koke no Mi turns the user into a Chicken Coop Human(Keisha Ningen/鶏舎人間), turning the inside of the users body into a human sized chicken coop. The user’s body becomes filled with chickens of many different shapes and sizes. Roosters, hens, and chicks are the three varieties that can be found within, each with their own uses and skill sets. Initially, the user starts with only one of each kind of chicken, but as time goes on, more and more Roosters, Gens, and Chicks will fill the confines of their body coop. The user can open hatches anywhere on their body to allow chickens in or out, as well as to allow for their various uses to manifest outside of the users body. This fruit also gives the user the ability to talk to and understand chickens. The user can also control chickens that were not produced inside their body, but they will need to enter their coop first, and will be notably a bit more difficult to control.
Rooster: The royal guard of the Koke Koke hierarchy, roosters make up the second smallest percentage of chickens at the command of the user. Roosters are aggressive, and in terms of fighting power are the strongest individually among the arsenal of the Koke Koke no Mi. Armed with beaks and talons, roosters are not afraid to get their wings dirty. The roosters of the Koke Koke no Mi have incredibly powerful crows, when working in unison, the noise of which can be immensely strong.
Hen: The matriarchs of the Koke Koke hierarchy, hens are leaders for the other chickens, and make up the smallest percentage of birds at the command of the user. The user can make the most of the hens when it comes to their eggs. The hens can produce eggs at an alarming rate, which the user can throw, break, or even eat! If these eggs are fertilized, they can hatch extremely quickly as well, which produce chicks.
Chicks: The infantry of the Koke Koke hierarchy, chicks make up the staggering majority of the chickens within the users body. Their strength comes in numbers, and the user can make the most use of them by sending entire platoons of chicks to swarm a target. The chicks are individually not very intelligent, and require a lot of guidance.
The Eggxecutive Failsafe: In the event that the user expends their entire arsenal of chickens and they are left with nothing at all, they are not out of luck. The user can replenish their supply in two ways. The first and more common is willful egg production inside the users body. This is extremely strenuous, as much as one would assume laying and caring for an egg would be. As these eggs hatch and eventually turn into hens, a lot of the work is pushed off of the user and back onto the hens, but this is very much not an option in the middle of combat, or any dangerous situation.
The other is to find and bring an outside chicken into the users body, and have them do the work instead. The chickens themselves will lay and hatch eggs at a rather normal rate for the average chicken, but once this chick finally hatches, it will have the behavior and properties of chicken that more befits the fruit.
Weaknesses:– Standard Devil Fruit Weaknesses
The chickens produced by the user are still chickens, and are driven by base instinct in the face of a predator. Chickens are hunted and eaten by a myriad of animals, including but not limited to foxes, wolves, coyotes, raccoons, snakes, and birds of prey. In the presence of these animals, chickens will become frightened, and immediately retreat into the users body, refusing to come out. In a similar fashion, a human who has consumed an associated zoan type fruit also holds this influence over the chickens, and can produce a similar response in their transformed states.
