Orous felt a little crestfallen that his compliment seemed to just put Kyou into even worse of a downspiral. Was he really so hopeless in these kinds of situations? Either that or this kid had been through more than he had to make him so crestfallen...
Orous nods his head at the plan to tie Rose and Marlow up. He had considered keeping them close on hand during the battle, but odds are they'd simply cause more trouble. They'd need all of their wits to deal with the other pirates.
Standing up straight and testing how snug the bandages were, Orous cracks his neck and knuckles to loosen himself up. He'd need to limber up. In terms of the other three, it would need to be a solid group effort. Going full throttle like that wouldn't be advised; Marlow was an idiot, but the others probably wouldn't be the same. Besides, he had a whole town to count on. He couldn't just stick with taking everything on his shoulders...
"I can get behind that; I know they wanna help, but this is just too dangerous. It'd be for their own good," Orous whispers back before standing to his full height and walking alongside the rest. The pieces ought to be put into place by now, which means it'd be time for the next phase: trapping the Stone Scale pirates. As long as they made enough noise, odds are they'd attract the nobility in the wealthy part of town. They no doubt already know about the pirates but just figured it'd do no good to engage them. After all, they weren't really messing with them. They'd have to change that.
"You all remember the strategy? Make some noise. I know that it'll be a pain hurting the town, destroying the architecture...but, you're all some of the best builders I know. I've watched you all every day...I've always wanted to be like you...so I know that you have the strength to take down something you love! If we work together, we'll make sure these pirates never tear something down again..." Orous says, but his words trail off a bit as he thinks to himself. Did he really have the strength to stand up to them? Everything En Kurtz did say was true after all...he had a dream, and he gave it up. All because he knew it was a pointless dream...
He shakes the thoughts off, looking towards the entrance of the jungle, the powerful radiance of the town welcoming them back. It didn't matter what he thought of himself...he could be useful for one thing at least. Helping this town.
Bruce's snug position offered him plenty of reconnaissance potential, and that was exactly what the haggis set its mind to. Perking its ears, it listened intently as the Fishmen and their new servants ransacked the museum, looking everywhere for the potential map that led to the treasure in the jungle. Of course, it almost looked like a game; a rather fun game, but these pirates seemed to take part only for the sake of malevolence: how many artifacts could they break.
The pirates guffaw and chortle as they threw, struck, smashed and crushed everything in their path. In the midst of it, En Kurtz himself seemed to be getting a little impatient, digging his stony heel into fractals of china, leaving nothing behind but a fine white and blue dust in his wake. "Grrr, where's that damn map? We've been searching for over an hour; you'd think it'd be on prime display..."
"Maybe one of the nobles keeps it, boss?"
"Tch, if that's true, we're up a creek, Emory. I'd rather not get involved with 'em...meat bags, you find anything?"
"No cap-er, Master, nothin'!"
"Dammit. At this rate, Rose and Marlow are gonna be wonderin' where we are. And when they wonder, they wander. Can't deal with them gettin' sidetracked on killin' civilians. Womtom, you take a few monkeys and go check if they're done. Any of 'em give you trouble, feel free to an early lunch."
"Huehuehue, thanks Cap'n! Alright, you heard 'em, you're with master Womtom now! Move out!" The lummox shouts, kicking one particular pirate in the rear and sending him sprawling to give the message. A few other pirates start filing out, Womtom behind them to act as a wall to prevent any sort of resistance. Bruce had a choice, to either stick with En Kurtz and his party, or to warn the others that the big bastard was on his way...
