Roku Roku no Mi
English Name:– Record Record Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Owned By:– B.G. Tempos
Appearance:– A particularly strange looking fruit, one that has a rounded oval shape, giving it the appearance of something akin to a Papaya. Swirls extend all along the frame of the fruit, with a variety of symbols (play, pause, fast forward) that seem utterly alien. It's a vibrant blue, giving it the impression of being something tasty, but with a foul taste not unlike that of sweaty rags.
Ability:– The Record Record fruit allows the user to "capture" a target within a 5 second loop, in which the object will be forced to adhere to any actions that they have taken within those 5 seconds on repeat. The user is able to pause the object at a specific part of this "timeline," rewind through it, or simply let it play regularly on repeat until he releases it.
The Roku Roku user must touch an object with both hands in order for this ability to take effect; in order to undo the ability, the User must touch the object again to "release it." The only exception to this rule is the utilization of the Roku Roku no Mi on the User itself.
The Roku Roku no Mi can ONLY capture an object's actions from the past 5 seconds; this cannot be improved or developed in any way. In addition, ONLY ONE object can be affected by the Roku Roku no Mi at any given point in time.
Weaknesses:–
Natural Devil Fruit weaknesses (Water, Sea Prism Stone)
Should the User use the Roku Roku no Mi on themselves, they cannot move freely until they release themselves from the loop. This means they cannot communicate, dodge or generally interact outside of their past actions.
The User must be able to say "Roku Roku Release" to free themselves of the ability; should their voice be restrained, they will be locked into the loop, though they will be allowed to move themselves within those 5 seconds of actions.
By restraining the Users hands, the Roku Roku no Mi cannot be used effectively, as it is an ability based entirely around touch. In addition, should the user be unable to touch someone, they generally hold an advantage against him (formless Logias have the habit of being able to shift away from his grasp, making his ability borderline useless for the time being.)
Objects must have a degree of tangibility for the ability to take effect (i.e., no fire, gas or energy). While the User can revert burning wood to its previous state from 5 seconds ago, it cannot bring the fire that burned it back, as it is separate and intangible.
The User cannot bring someone back to life if they die within 5 seconds; while the actions that person took can be repeated by their body, they will simply be a dead husk mimicking movement.
After each release of the Roku Roku no Mi, there is a 10 second recharge state, meaning the User cannot capture an object in anything prior to the initial 5 second loop.
