Personality
Onomi is a very reserved and quiet individual, a man who has deep scar tissue in his mind. He has done and seen it all, and lives to protect nobly. He fights for justice and carries a mountain of self-pride on his shoulders. As a self-taught medic, he is confident in his trade and does not hesitate to save lives good or evil, for he believes a man of great power will decide the fate of every individual. He does not fight to kill, he fights to suppress. Onomi has lived a life of bloodshed and misery and has only in recent years became a man of peace and one who believes in a greater power than himself. He believes devil fruits and all the strange powers in the world are just a creation by something greater than the world enacted to keep overall balance in the world.
Onomi always keeps a smile on his face but is not one to spark up a conversation or a friendship. He favors those who have experienced deep emotional hardships and clings on to true friendships that are created by fighting side by side. Onomi will not stand down and is very selfless in his actions and will lay down his life to save another in any circumstance. At times this can lead to reckless behavior which in the heat of battle can be detrimental.
Appearance
BodyWearing the cloth attire from his homeland stitched by the woman of his village, though not particularly practical or protective, the self-image and pride he bears are more important. A white toga that hangs over his right shoulder and drapes down to his feet. A brown manila rope ties around his waist to keep the toga in place. He keeps a blue silk cloth draped over his shoulders that is light and flows sporadically in the lightest of winds. A leather brown bag is mounted on his belt that he keeps basic war medicinal supplies in.
Feet
Onomi wears sandals that have leather souls and thin leather straps that weave over his feet and up to his ankle and tie off around his ankles. Two wings attach to the inner and outer side of the ankle for both shoes. These shoes from his hometown commemorate the beginning of a war medics journey.
Helmet
A staple of his home village's medics, upon the completion of his 50th war fighting for his homeland he was declared the youngest in his village to ever receive the medics helmet. The helmet was a symbol of proficiency in medical practice, a visual aid in times of battle to know who to run for if someone was injured or in need of medical treatment. A polished copper helmet with two wings of a dove mounted on the left and right side of the helmet.

Background
Raised in a small poor village controlled by a dictatorship of pirates who would make constant runs through the village claiming everything of value in promises of protection from other pirate factions. Onomi was homeless, and without a family for his whole memorable life, he was raised in an orphanage like many kids his age in the village, years of poverty and bloodshed left few families intact. Never the less there was great pride in the village and constant resentment for the pirates that constantly came to collect. As a young boy, Onomi grew an obsession with protecting and healing many of the men that were drafted into the pirate crew as infantry and then left on the beach to die every time the pirates returned to collect. This practice was adopted by the head of his orphanage Lady Diana. A woman who cared for all the women of the village and all the young boys and girls. A woman who knew many of the island's herbs and spices that were used to seemingly cure most illnesses and injuries.
Onomi knew that it was his calling to bring everyone home safe when he would eventually be of age to be drafted in his teen years. He buckled down and dived deep into the practice, illegally practicing on the dying soldiers who were supposed to be left to die as a means of striking fear in the village, courtesy of the pirates.
Onomi was finally of age to join the ranks along with many of his deeply bonded friends from the orphanage along with many other boys of the village. Their first travel was a year-long of constant battle day in and day out, constant bloodshed as the pirates fought over territory and ravaged through towns. Onomi hated the site, he stayed true to himself and his views, he adopted a practice of carrying anesthesia and knocking out foes and hiding them away to eventually regain consciousness after they were long gone. At times it could not be helped killing was inevitable any soldier who refused to kill would be tortured and executed. Onomi saw a light and opportunity at the end of the dark tunnel, one day he would free himself from the chains that bound him to the evil.
At the end of his first year, Onomi was able to bring back most of his friends from day 1 though none of them were the same, Onomi himself was a man. Though only 16 years of age, he had gone through deep emotional stress, which created numbness deep within. Many of his friends were passed there breaking points and there was no end in sight. Onomi along with a few others that were still sane had one request for the woman of there village, to begin crafting weapons, and upon there next return they would not go back to the battlefield on the side of the pirates. Onomi was loved by the pirates and trusted, though he was just playing along they treated him with the utmost care due to his extensive capabilities as a medic, for he cared for all the pirates constantly suffering from injury and illness, keeping the turnover on battle times down through various drugs. Onomi knew it was a necessary evil to gain there trust and his resentment would only lead to more pain and suffering.
Another three years went by and once again most of the original group of orphans Onomi departed with came home safely to the village, nearly all broken emotionally and pushed far beyond sanity. Onomi and the group rallied up the village and a spark of hope burned bright in the hearts of the village, it was a potential means to an end. None of the orphans feared death for Onomi was the reason most of them had survived as long as they had. The village hid in the jungle when the pirates came to pick up their troops the village was empty. Once it was clear that the village was empty they sent out most of the men on board to search the island. Onomi snuck aboard and slaughtered the pirates that remained aboard sparing the lives of those who were drafted similar to Onomi but from different villages. Onomi signaled the village aboard and they ran in the darkest part of the night and hid in the lower barracks of the ship. Onomi threw the dead bodies overboard and took the spared troops and had them join the ranks. The group waited until the pirates returned to an empty ship. The pirates hooted and hollered looking for the men that were now missing aboard. One by one they started walking down to the barracks getting silently murdered one by one as they stepped down the stairs into the pitch-black barracks. Now that the pirates were only half of there original size, Onomi and his village knew the pirates would grow suspicious so they ran out of the barracks and unleashed bloodshed on the remaining pirates. After a battle that ran for nearly an hour, the village suffered casualties and many were injured, but the death has been done and the chains that once bound them, no longer did, they were free and at peace. Onomi knew it was only a matter of time before another faction or another force moved to conquer the area, and they did not have the numbers to lead a war against a faction without the element of surprise.
Onomi took a few of the men and began on a journey to more modern civilization in search of the Marines, for he would apply to join the ranks and further his medical knowledge and fight for justice to clean the stain of bloodshed that would forever fog his mind. Also, he hoped that alerting the marines of his home village and the situation would bring protection to the land and keep the village at peace for years to come. And hopefully, the next generations of boys and girls would not have to face the bloodshed and trauma he and many before him faced. And families would rekindle and flourish.
