Climate & Weather—: Papiliea is generally a very warm and humid, equatorial climate, boasting unusually high temperatures for its high altitude, and similarly unusual weather. It’s generally a very calm and stable island as far as weather patterns are concerned.
Affiliation:— Independent, Papiliea is loyal only to itself, and attempts to maintain political neutrality with what few interactions it has with the factions of the surface world.
Island Appearance:— From a distance, it’s hard to discern Papiliea’s form, as it consists of numerous Island Clouds spanning different levels which serve as plates upon which a diverse and unusually lush environment is perched. It’s surprisingly colourful, dominated by plants that have evolved specifically to survive and to thrive in such an environment.
Landmarks:—
- High Papiliea:— The Capital City of Papiliea is an immense citadel founded on a series of individual plates of Island Cloud, which constantly reposition themselves due to slight fluctuations in the country’s temperature, humidity, and wind patterns. Each plate is dominated by a particular district, as follows:
- Royal Palace:—
- Grand Central:—
- Chrysalis:—

Flora:— Papiliea is dominated by immense and unusual plants the likes of which struggle to survive in the Blues below, adapted specifically to the altitudes at which they thrive. Quite a variety of the plants here have developed a means of processing the moisture they need and spewing out the excess as various types of Cloud, many of which are almost exclusive to this land.
Fauna:— The island’s wild and domestic life consists of numerous insects and arthropods that have specifically evolved to suit the environment, alongside some more unusual biological families including fish and amphibians. Still, most of the life native to this land are arthropods.
