Nise Nise no Mi
偽偽の実
偽偽の実
English Name:– Fake Fake Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Owned By:– Jacob Arlott
Appearance:–
Resembling a Pitaya (Dragon Fruit), the Nise Nise no Mi is not a large fruit. Rather than a smooth pinkish color, the Nise Nise no Mi has a sky-blue hue that covers its surface. The entirety of its skin is smooth, lacking any texture or distinction. Like a Pitaya, the Nise Nise no Mi has stems that start from the middle of the fruit, extending and coming to a point at the top of the fruit. These five stems are bright red, almost neon in coloration. As typical with all Devil Fruits, there is no lack of swirls on the skin of the fruit. The Nise Nise no Mi boasts nine, small concentric yellow swirls that envelop the fruit.
Ability:–
The Nise Nise no Mi grants the user the ability to create mirages and optical illusions, hence the name "Fake". This is accomplished by granting the user the ability to manipulate the temperature in their immediate vicinity. As mirages are created by the light refracting as it travels through cold air and hitting the much warmer ground, the user of the Nise Nise no Mi is able to cool the air and heat the ground in front of them to varying temperatures to distort the light as it travels from the air before hitting the ground in front of the user. This forces the light to bend as it travels through opposing temperatures and the result is the creation of optical illusions in front of and near the user. The Nise Nise no Mi does not grant the user the ability to manipulate the light that is around them, only the temperature of the area around them.
The mirages that are created are exactly the same as the ones that are naturally created in places like deserts. As such, they are not real and do not take a physical form and have little to no combat use on the front of its face. The illusions that can be created, however, vary on the temperatures of the air and ground the user is able to alter; ranging from changing the user’s appearance, completely hiding the user, or forming completely new constructs.

Weaknesses:–
Kairōseki (“Sea-Prism Stone”) saps the physical strength of the Ability User and prevents them from consciously controlling or activating their power.
Submersion in water immobilizes the Ability User and causes them to sink, disabling conscious power control.
The Nise Nise no Mi abilities rely on the user's ability to change the temperature of both the air and ground in front of them. Either intense heat or cold that is created or introduced outside of the fruit’s ability will drastically reduce the user’s ability to properly create or maintain the mirages. Extreme heat or cold will completely nullify the user’s ability to even create mirages.
As the Nise Nise no Mi relies on it's ability to manipulate the temperature to change the angle the light hits the ground at, the user is unable to create mirages in a space devoid of light.
