<Bumu Bumu No Mi>
English Name: - Boom Fruit
Classification:- Paramecia
Owned By:-Mia Kearney
Appearance:- The Bumu Bumu No Mi primarily takes the appearance of a pineapple, with a black, smooth, round base, that transitions into a vibrant yellow towards the top. Halfway up the fruit 'explodes' into a violent set of spikes expanding outward from the base, with red leaves at the tip that follow the general shape of the explosion. The base of the fruit contains heavy, thick swirls, while the spikes have much thinner less prominent swirls.
Ability:–
Nitroglycerine secretion - The fruit user can produce nitroglycerine from the pours in their skin typically at the same rate of sweat (making it difficult to store up in high amounts). Consciously they can make this secretion ignite and explode at specific points of their body, typically the palms, or it can be ignited by external influences, such as flames, or a heavy impact.
Explosive Reistance - Dealing with the forces on their body constantly, the user of the fruit is immune to the damage of their own explosives. Though a full body explosion or an especially strong one will have enough kickback to hurt. Other explosives are mildly resisted, but nowhere to the level of their own, and shrapnel or actual impacts are in no way resisted.
Weaknesses:–
The Bumu Bumu no Mi offers the normal Devil Fruit weaknesses.
The explosions generated are a little less potent in moist air, be this rain, heavy fog, or simply a moist atmosphere. In rain specifically, or generally when their sweat is 'watered down' their explosions become difficult to ignite, and will generally be less potent anyway.
In cold environments, the explosions become weaker as the molecules of nitroglycerin freeze and become 'desensitized'. While Mia's own body heat will make sure it never fully freezes, extreme colds such as icey mountains or blizzard prone environments will see the effectiveness of her fruit lower drastically.
