Tsuku Tsuku no Mi
English Name: Haunt Haunt Fruit
Classification: Paramecia
Owned By: Wolfric Hertz
Appearance:
The Tsuku Tsuku no Mi vaguely resembles a dragon fruit. Pale, purple stalks sprout from a greenish-blue, leathery skin. The stalks are ragged and wispy and jut out sharply from the surface of the fruit. Dark blue lines swirl and twist on the skin of the fruit in a chaotic spiral pattern.
Ability:
The Tsuku Tsuku no Mi allows the user to haunt inanimate objects by “wearing” them. Their physical body becomes immaterial only in the instant that they enter the inanimate object. They cannot otherwise become immaterial. The object must be tangible and have no soul or life. Dead animals and plants may be possessed. The user can talk while possessing an object. To haunt an object, the user requires direct physical contact with the object in question. Any amount of contact will do.
While haunting an object, that object gains certain supernatural properties involving propulsion. For instance, as a chest, the user might be able to waddle back and bend in odd ways in a sort of hopping motion. For a chair, the user might gallop around on its legs. Increasingly complex object have a variety of movements and motions associated with them. Simple objects like swords will balance unnaturally and are capable of bending and flexing oddly while hopping about.
When inside of an object, the user’s ability to bear pain becomes akin to the material. For instance, if the user is inside a wooden chair, they can bear loads better. However, fire is extremely painful. If one of the chair’s legs is broken, it is as if the user had one of their limbs broken. If inside a sword, the clash of metal on metal would be like punching another person or being punched by another person, and so on. While painful, no actual harm would come to the user’s body, but severe pain can force the user out of the object that they’re haunting.
Weaknesses:
- Standard Devil Fruit weaknesses apply.
- Armament Haki infused blows from a character with more powerful Armament Haki deal damage more efficiently, capable of damaging the user’s own body as if they were not in the object at all.
- Intense pain can cause the user to lose focus and force deactivation of the power, ejecting them from the object that are haunting.
- Contact with salt will forcibly eject the user from a haunted object.
- User requires direct contact to haunt an object.
- The objects that the user can possess are limited to tangible, inanimate objects that do not possess a soul or life. (i.e. Fire, Wind, Water, Plants, Animals, etc.)
