The Band of Boozers (Flame/Squash)

Leaning back against the wooden barricade most would call a bar Kaito found himself accomplice to a terror of his own making. Here in the hallowed heart of an old pub, he stood glass in hand staring at a rabble of troublemakers reminiscent of his former crew. The level of alcohol could be quite literally smelled in the air as the breath of each and every person in the room reeked of inebriation. In the midst of the rowdy bunch the Dragon's Wrath stared into his pint of liquor with heavy eyes. This sort of party reminded him heavily of his crewmates and most of all Jack and Kurt.

How'd I get into this mess ... he thought to himself staring at the ruckus that was quickly beginning to unfold. Thinking back he imagined the himself of three days ago swirling in alcohol back in his second home of Whiskey Town. The concoction of his own creation compromising his own judgement had got him the idea of meeting up with some of his old buds from the bar town. When they'd heard he was back they thought it only fair that the former bartender threw his party as all parties were in Whiskey Town, in an alcohol filled pub. However due to circumstances they'd had to throw it here in Porter Town. A strange circumstance but it was to accommodate the number of those former customers of his who'd moved out of the youthful town and to other prospects.

A slap on the back from a former friend awoke him from his momentary melancholy. Glancing up the laughing face told him that he was being too sentimental, Should get more in the mood ehh ... He looked around at the pack of drunks before him guzzling down alcohol by the glass. A half smile slid upon his face as he shrugged his shoulders. Opening his maw he tilted his head back and upended half of his pint into his throat. The surly concoction burned in his throat and the booze made him feel oddly crazed.

Drawing a hand through his unruly brown hair to pull it backwards he drank down the rest of his pint. Stepping into the crowd he found himself quickly ensconced in the mood getting into a series of manly games of arm wrestling. Once, twice he claimed victory over his compatriots atop a somewhat shaky wooden table, before the table cracked beneath the pressure sending him and another 'friend' of his tumbling into each other atop the shards of what was once a table. Laughter arose and abound and it took him a while to separate himself from it.

But after a time he did, dragging himself away from the rave for a moment to get back to the bar. Glancing around to see empty glasses around. He laughed and smiled before announcing. "ALRIGHT WHOSE UP FOR A CHALLENGE. I CALL IT THE RED DRAGON FLARE. DOWN IT BEFORE ME AND ALL YOUR DRINKS'LL BE ON THE HOUSE!!" He pulled forth two tall glasses from behind the bar. Stepping about it in a slightly tipsy manner he waited for the first competitor to line up.

Somewhere in a musty, dark corner of the bar sat a lonely ivory coated soul drowning in the spirits of isolation. Her left hand rested around the neck of a slowly emptying bottle while her right was delicately cradling the steel of a large blade on her shoulder. She looked to her side and observed the wasted fools having a jolly good time. But the woman scoffed at the drunken din with a sour grimace on her face, "Quite the rambunctious crowd, aren't they?" The sword girl muttered to the absentminded bartender standing on the opposite side of the counter. She took the bottle to the air and drowned her throat in its remnants before slamming the glass back to the wooden slab.

"Not the cordial type I take it?" Her compatriot lazily responded as he wiped the lip of a mug with a dirty salmon washcloth. The woman glared at the man with a raised eyebrow and a nasty sneer, "What do you suppose? That I find corners fascinating or that your charm was all I kept you for?" She flicked the empty bottle and watched as it slid right between the man and his assortments of fonts. All the response he could muster for her was a dejected sigh and another serving of ice cold beer. Meanwhile, the woman took to watching the chaos develop in the near distance where she caught sight of a new presence with the charisma of a wet gym sock. "A drinking contest? And they wonder why we outlive men."

"You're not so far off yourself, sir." The bartender slid the full bottle back to its rightful owner right before slithering away to attend his other clients. A bitter growl left the girl as she found herself alone yet again. But of course she didn't mind; the company of strangers never served much other than to annoy her. And this man in the spotlight was none too pleasing for her. I don't need to be a man to drink you under the table, boy. But these inebriated lechers don't need me enabling their awful habits. I've got myself to take care of after all.

Another chug of liquid gold went straight down the hatch without a single drop unaccounted.

Standing behind the bar he waited for his first competitor to come up to face him. It took a moment but eventually they came, walking up with very little red tinge on their cheeks they smiled at Kaito who smiled back. "Are you sure you're up for it." If there was concern in him he didn't show it, besides with the crowd behind him cheering him on there was a bubbling of life to him that he likely couldn't retreat from at this point. "Lay it on me Kait-"

The bartender roared with laughter as he pulled forth a tinted battle popped open its top so the brew within smoked upwards. With a smile he laughed, "My personal creation," he said cracking into a grin as he began to pour. Rather than the usual golden liquid of beer, or perhaps the clear liquid of stronger alcohols, what came forth was a cloudy mixture of red and orange. It fizzled and popped, foaming upwards in a maroonish color.

To non-members of the Whiskey Pirates family this was a strange concoction indeed. He'd come up with it while at sea, and this was particular specialty of his. As the broad-shouldered competition reached forward to grab it Kaito stopped him with an open palm. "Ahh, one last thing."

Reaching into his back pocket Kaito pulled forth a box of matches. Taking a pair out of the box he swiped them against the rough of the box so that they were both alight. "Here's to a real Red Dragon Flare" he said with a laugh as he tossed a burning match into each of the tall glasses of swirling red alcohol. As the matches touched the foam they set it into an inferno. Orange and yellow flickers of flame rose from the glasses. "Bottoms up!" He said with a yell reaching forward and pulling his tall glass toward him.

His opposite did the same with some hesitation, but followed suit as Kaito upended the tall shot glass into his mouth. The fire licked at his lips and teeth as the reddish swill swirled down his throat. With one eye on his competitor Kaito bumped his chest twice feeling the burn roll down into his chest. A solid burp exited his mouth, flickers of fire tracing it as it seemed a small flare burned out of his mouth. Opposite of him his enemy dropped to the floor coughing as smoke rose from his mouth. "AHAHAHAHAHA Can't hold your liquor. Well no worries, here's a glass to a good try." He said handing a glass of water to a nearby onlooker to bring to the fool who tried to test himself against a bartender.

With a grunt of laughter he looked about. "Well? Any other takers?" Bringing a hand to his mouth he burped another little flame from his mouth into his hand. He could still feel the burn a little, but by now he had more resistance to it than most.

The sword girl cringed at the spectacle laid before her. It was never in her heart to go for such needlessly flashy shows even if she were the type to garner attention for attention's sake. But ingesting flames for amusement was hardly what she considered worthy to spend time on when she could sit in her little corner gradually growing wasted.

"I need another one over here." The woman flailed her bottle in the air where it remained for all of two seconds before her old compatriot returned to satiate her intoxicating habits. "And I need a good tip for all the time you've kept me standing here." He pulled the lever of the font and dispensed another frothy brew into the sword girl's specially made vessel. There was no pomp in the manner with which he sent the bottle her way; a simple shove of his hand and he was back to pleasing the countless others inhabiting the bar. "Well with that attitude, don't bother expecting much." She muttered under her breath before stealing a sip of the drink. 

For a while it was quiet in her dank and dark corner of the world. There were no lights, no intruders. The only sound she could detect came from the flood of noise emanating deep within the center of the bar. A ruckus broke out as if a victor of the dragon's drink emerged. The woman slowly turned still half-hunched on the countertop and overlooked the prizewinner of the palliative pageant. Her eyes slightly widened behind her tilted square-rimmed glasses. "The boy can hold his booze after all. Color me mildly impressed." She went to slurp a shot of her own when a voice appeared from the darkness, "I would certainly hope that he can handle his liquor, considering he works here."

A prompt spit take sprayed the bartender in a fermented froth of his own dispensing. The girl with the sword coughed a mighty fit until she regained her composure. The man ahead of her glowered in his drenched uniform and began wiping himself with his ragged salmon washcloth. "...Ironically, it appears you're the one yet to learn the proper grasp of a spirit's sting."

The heavy drinker scoffed at the remark and glared intensely at her critic's dull grey eyes, "Or perhaps the presence of a snake that can't hold its tongue left a sour taste in my mouth..." The two exchanged dirty looks at one another until a half empty bottle slowly skid across the wooden counter. She fixed her lenses properly back on the top of her nose and the piercing look in her eyes magnified terribly. Unease broke the bartender's stance and he subconsciously moved for the levers at his side. "Bring me another." Foam filled the neck of the bottle.

"None then?" He asked around at the curious crowd who'd just seen exactly what his Red Dragon Flare did to its consumers. There didn't seem to be any, he shrugged his shoulders reaching over the bar to pull out a bottle of beer. "Cowards the lot of ya ... Jack, Kurt this is for you." He held the bottle up high so that the dim lighting of the pub shined through the bottle's tinted glass.

With a flick of his hand he slammed the top of the beer bottle against the bartop cracking off the seal upon it. Beer foam bubbled up as he took the beer by the lips lapping it down his still burning throat. Golden liquid poured down his throat as he circled his way about the bar to take his rightful place behind it. With a quick glance he looked around for the other bartender he'd called up. His eyes flickered across the room finding him finally tending to some girl in the corner. Don't recognize her ... someone must have brought her as a plus one or something ... He thought with a shrug turning his attention back to the crowd who was now watching him as he dropped the bottle lazily into the trash.

"Right then, in that case lets have a round on the house for ya losers." He said with a laugh as cheers rose, reaching under he pulled out more bottles to bury the small crowd in waves of the liquid bread. He laughed, thankfully he'd brought a lot of his personal creation so these bottles were basically free. Pulling them forth he rolled them out onto the counter eight at a time, one between every finger pair.

"Now then in Whiskey Pirate tradition. We all should do somethin' a little crazy." He looked around as the crowd downed their glasses the red of cheeks floating about everywhere in the quickly warming pub. Jumping up onto the bar with a quick hop he squatted there looking at the group.

Asking in a drab voice he put out a first option "Hows about a game of darts." The combined group mixed the drone of boredom with a few cheers of interest. This caused Kaito to smile amused, "Yeah, I thought so we need sometihng a little more exciting. How's about shoot the apple." He said reaching behind his back to pull out his favored dragoon. Putting it forth he held one eye shut and aimed it forward toward the crowd. A hush fell over the group, not drunk enough for that yet it seemed.

"Yall aren't drunk enough if you aren't down for that yet. Sounds like we need more beer ehh?" There was a collective cheer from the audience once more. Kaito sighed shaking his head a smile still spread across his face. This was to be expected, he knew drunkards well enough. Heading into the backroom he brought out a few barrels of his own beer to pass about.

Amidst the boisterous roaring after the boy bartender's announcement, the sword girl kept to herself in the dank corner she thought home. Her companion had slithered off to make due on his coworker's promise and began laying out rows of glasses that he would be filling beer with. An irritated grumbling could be heard under his breath which made it all the sweeter for the woman to see when he returned to her spot with an ice cold jug. "On the house, it seems. You have the boy genius to thank for that..."

For the first time tonight, she showed the slightest semblance of satisfaction on her face as he pushed the dripping glass cup towards her own waning bottle. "I could do without the enthusiasm. It's suffocating." She wrapped her right hand around the handle of the jug and brought the two vessels together. The twin peaks of frothy gold stood tall in front of her own twin peaks and she couldn't help but to grin at the sight of them.

Meanwhile, the bartender began to walk away hoping never to interact with the woman, not even for another drink. "Well if you need anything else, don't hesitate to drop dead." He strutted towards the lobby when he quickly turned back and realized the oddest thing. His feet marched back to the starstruck alcoholic who was now pouring dual waterfalls of booze down her throat like there was no tomorrow. "Hmm...You know it's come to my attention, I never got your name after all this time. Care to enlighten me of your identity, ma'am?"

The sword girl downed the last drop and slammed the glasses back to the counter in a hunch. He flinched at the sudden move but remembered she was all bark and no bite. His composure returned and the man waited patiently for a response. 

Her gray eyes were the first to answer him, glaring from beneath the shadow of her downcast visage and slightly obstructed by the sharpness of her lens frames. Only the soulless silver of her irises showed in the darkness of their dank corner world. The moist sound of a shifting tongue and lips could be heard from within the shade of her solitude and at last she began to speak, "If you don't know who I am, I haven't been doing my job very well..."

She then rose from her seat, pulled out a few bills from her belt satchel and laid them out on the countertop. The bartender's face contorted with confusion. After doing so, the woman took her bottle and placed it in a holster at her hip then mounted the sword that lay on her shoulder back in its rightful position.

The man counted the bills and, to his surprise, came up positive. After all the banter and disrespect they exchanged, she still paid upfront what she owed him and left a tip as well. He just had to know who she was, the peculiar patron of this Porter Town bar. "Well ma'am...who the hell are you then?"

The sword girl had begun walking prior to the inquiry and stopped short of entering the domain of the drunken fools. She turned now with the light shining directly on her face, with eyes of silver and hair burnt a vibrant pink. From her rose tinted lips, she spoke with a poised tone like the man had never heard from her before,

"It's Dermott. Rémi Dermott. Oh and by the way, don't ever call me ma'am. I'm only 19, you fucking idiot."

With more of his personal blend of beer passed around Kaito looked upon the gang of drunkards that he'd created. He gave a sorrowful smile to them all, at this point he was just drowning them in alcohol to bring back the feel of his former crew. The Whiskey Pirates as per their name had always been fond of hitting the hard stuff, the raw smell of alcohol was a timeless reminder of them.

The Dragon's Wrath downed a little more drink as he turned to look across the crowd. They still weren't his former crew, his lips pursed in annoyance. Guess I'll have to do something more in line with Whiskey Pirate tradition ... He looked about before vaulting his way over the bar. Stepping his way forward back into the crowd he looked around at the group of fools he'd gathered. At least in that it was the same.

"So what else?" He asked looking about at the drunkards who surrounded him. "Shall we fight?" There was a roar of eyys, that seemed to be something that they were into. But how? He turned his head, about looking at the cheerers, they seemed to be down with the idea but no one was actually stepping up. "Well, someone step forward." Kaito rolled up his sleeves to show off well toned arms. He looked about "Any takers?" His question went unanswered until finally the crowd seemed to push someone to the fore.

A youth that Kaito didn't recognize, probably a friend of a friend of some sort stood before him. Stature-wise and physique-wise there was no question of who was the superior. In his early thirties and with the years of battle under his belt the Dragon's Wrath was the far superior in both of those qualities. Raising an eyebrow at the half-smashed youth with extremely red cheeks Kaito grimaced. "Move aside kid. Its apparent none of ya louts wanna fight me. Then perhaps we should do somethin' else."

The youth stepped forward and with a clenched fist slammed his punch straight into Kaito's gut. With surprise Kaito glanced down at the fist pressed firmly into his belly. He felt the twinge of nausea as his stomach convulsed from the hit. Reaching down he grabbed the kid's hand. "Ya got spunk kid." He commented lifting him up by the hand. "Just gotta grow some real strength." With the whipping of his arm he tossed the kid back into the crowd so that he nearly bowled his way through it coming to a stop by crashing into the girl Kaito'd noticed the other bartender chatting with earlier.

Rémi walked her way down the bar towards the door when the edge of her eye caught the shape of a projectile heading towards her. "Huh?" she gawked audibly as her head turned to meet a panicked figure. Its speed was intense but the girl stayed calm and extended a limp arm with fingers open wide. In less than half a second, its leg landed in the palm of her hand and the boy's momentum came to a sudden halt. 

"Well okay then..." From out of her dark world and into the spotlight, the sword girl found herself thrust into the center of attention as all bodies present looked to her holding the sniveling wimp dangling from her outstretched hand. She brought the child up to her eye level and stared for a moment into his eyes and saw he was one shriek away from fainting. Thinking the kid worthy of pity, she released her grip and sent the kid falling to the wood floorboards in a slump. Laughter returned to the group at the sight of such a pathetic lad. But Rémi had her attention focused on another individual, one she did not find particularly amusing. 

"You." Her index finger pointed straight in the direction from where the child came. The only man who matched her vector was the 'boy wonder' bartender she observed from earlier. "If you're gonna show off to these drunks, you can't afford to be soft." And without warning, Rémi reached over to the nearest man at her side, hulking and massive compared to the boy she just let go. The big fat oaf stumbled in surprise and couldn't find the footing to resist what came next. 

"You have to put your whole back into it!!" The woman in white grappled the fat man's arm and spun around until she found the momentum to throw him clean off her back and towards the belligerent bartender.

Kaito's attention turned as he was addressed by the girl whom he'd just bowled someone into. She pointed directly at him, which was to say, everyone else in the way had made way already partially from his throwing of the youth. He faced her tilting her head wondering what she wanted. Her voice elevated she proclaimed him to be showing off, pursing his lips he wondered if he had been.

Perhaps? He was reminiscing of days past, where that'd have been a bit more norm- His thoughts passed as his eyes saw her grab a man much larger than the boy he'd thrown and began to spin him around. "What the ..." his eyes widened as she suddenly let go of her captive sending the oaf careening towards Kaito. He blinked once not expecting this at all. Throwing forth a hand he caught the body as it slammed into him. Digging his heels into the wood he was pushed back by the great weight and momentum with which he was hit.

Letting go of the brute before him who seemed dazed at best from what'd just happened Kaito glanced momentarily at the skid marks on the floor and then over to the girl who'd basically caused them. I probably share some of the blame given that I threw the kid at her ... he reminded himself promptly before he went too far with that line of thought.

A closer inspection saw that she was clothed in white with strangely pink hair. A weird individual, he definitely didn't know her, perhaps she was at the bar for some reason other than his get together? Confused he decided not to follow it up and instead focused on the fact that she unlike anyone else seemed to have a little fire to her, and the strength to back it up.

"Then do you have anything better to do? Gotta have something better than dressing up like a marine." He said taunting her. Perhaps with this he could get her to fight him or something. At least she had shown some of the furor that he was looking for. And she had been able to throw that man, which was a mean feat to say the least.

However his words caught a different tone with the half inebriated audience stuck between him and the girl. Whispers of her being a marine quickly surfaced among them as if they'd only heard part of what he'd said. Which to be fair wasn't to much of a surprise given how much he'd fed them. Quickly they began to chant and jeer calling her the 'marine girl'.

"Marine...Girl?" The white coated woman stared bewilderedly at the crowd of uneasy drunkards whose rowdiness and aggression was beginning to get on her nerves. They chanted it to themselves, whispered amongst friends and strangers, even drew out their swords in preemptive fashion. "You think I'm a Marine, is that it?" Mirroring her aggressors, Rémi dislodged the massive blade from her shoulder and held the steel in front of the increasingly irascible mob. Her silver eyes shimmered like scattered starlight, reflecting the argent blaze of her sword and piercing through each and every man in the room. 

"I am no more a Marine than the lot of you are abiding citizens of the law." She kept her stance at the ready until the clamor of violent intents died to an unruly simmer. When there were enough of those she could observe to be levelheaded to listen to logic, Rémi lowered the sword and turned her back to the crowd. "Take a good look at this so called coat of justice."

On the back of her attire were words that once spelled out JUSTICE in a calligraphic language. But what stood on the fabric now was a massive cross painted in thick red obscuring the words beneath. "This Marine coat that you see was stolen by none other than myself." She rose her claymore from the floor until the light in the room bounced off the steel and blinded those nearest to it. "This sword once too belonged to a Marine, until I took it from him." She turned to face the crowd with renewed vigor and determination.

Across the other side of the lobby was the boy bartender himself, who had seemingly insulted her prior to the drunk men's chanting. Though she detested everything about the man, there was a single truth to his words that bothered her still. And to that she'd give credit. "I will not lie and tell you all I had grand plans of adventure and endangerment prepared for my evening tonight. But I can see now that drinking myself dead in a corner was hardly the most efficient use of my times. The same goes for the rest of you, who I can detect need a little more excitement in life."

A shift formed through the masses, a visible wave of movement riling them up in their seats flowed through them as a tide flows through the ocean. Perhaps the boy would see it as well and join along for what she'd propose. Rémi took her sword once and walked silently to the door where the moonlight was beginning to fall right through the entryway. The blade was now crossed against her back, the tip clearly pointed straight into the heart of the Marine code of conduct.

At that moment for everyone to see, the scene played out perfectly on the back of the sword girl's moonlit coat: a silver fang finding its mark and dealing the final blow to the followers of Justice. Rémi's finger shot out yet again and in the same direction as she did before. "I propose a new game for you bartender, one that will require much exhaustion of your alcoholic wares to be perceived as anything less than insane." She only gave them all a glimpse of her eye, lowering her han as the words came out of her lips, "And if things operate as planned, we'll all be winners tonight."

The clothes on her back were in fact those of a marine. Supposedly stolen and then apparently repainted over with a red cross to hide the words that everyone knew proclaimed 'JUSTICE' the annoying cause of the marines. Kaito gave a fierce grin to the girl as she began to speak in response to what he'd declared to her before. That she'd tried to 'drink herself dead' was, well he understood the feeling. He'd tried to do it before, and in some senses he was trying to do it now to everyone in the room.

With a wicked grin at her last few words he nodded approvingly. Definitely needed a little more excitement in life, it's what he'd been looking for here but not finding. As the group riled themselves up to her words he smiled. Oh she's good. Much better at riling them up than I am. She might make a good captain or the like at some point. He thought to himself with a laugh.

As she pointed to him once again he smiled and stepped towards her she put out her challenge. Something that'd run out his personal stores of beer and was nothing less than insane. Oh that was perfect, continuing to walk forward he pushed his way through the crowd to stand before her. At this distance the height difference was notable as he stood a full head above the girl his head tilted down to even look at her.

"A new game huh."

He said with brimming confidence as he looked down upon her. His arms crossed before her as he looked at the girl and gave a momentary glance to the large claymore upon her back. It was much larger than the sword which sat at his waist though his was clearly the superior blade. It had been his captain's and apparently was of quite some fame. "Well then lil' missy lay it on me. What's this game of yours? We shall see if its everything you seem to believe it is." He grinned at her awaiting what her plan really was, hoping that it was in fact what she seemed to believe it to be.

Bodies gravitated towards her presence with all ears present awaiting her proposal. She grinned a cocky grin. This was what she lived for; this amount of attention was what she craved. Her stomach buzzed with the fluttering of butterflies and she could no longer bear withholding her plan for tonight. Rémi turned to the people with her sword raised high for everyone to see. "I have my own challenge for those who lust after glory."

A majority of the crowd leaned forward at the edge of their seats to hear more of what she had to say. This was perfect, she thought to herself. With all eyes and ears on her, there was no way her actions tonight would go unnoticed. They would acknowledge her, she would make sure of it. Her eyes returned to the real world from a daydreaming fantasy only to find dozens of other irises still aimed at her body; and she knew with this much hold on the crowd, the words she had to say would sway most if not all of the men to action. 

Her stance grew broad and confidence oozed from her pores, the woman in white with a hearty voice intoxicated with vigor bellowed out to the crowd, "Tonight, we take down those coat clad keepers of peace on their own damn soil. Brick by brick, gate by gate, and through fire and blood we will dismantle their institution until nothing remains of them but bitter memories for the forsaken." A stirring, a massive swelling of accord was growing amongst the bar folk once her words were said. She smiled at her handiwork and brought the sword back to her shoulder while replacing its skyward seat with her empty glass bottle. The men then shushed each other, obviously curious of what else she had to offer in morale. 

Rémi Dermott smiled with anticipation, taken aback that this is where her dull night of drinking had taken her, yet glad it turned out all the same. She had one final word of encouragement for the party before their eventual trek to the path of destruction. "For all my parched compatriots with sorely lacking chalices, I offer you but a remark that will surely grant you refreshment for the vicious battle to come."

She aimed high but conservatively on the strength of her toss and let loose her glass bottle to the direction of the bar. It flew past the boy with an attitude and landed in familiar hands: the bartender of the corner who she found to be quite the kindred spirit. Her sword returned to the air and with one final breath, Rémi screamed to the crowd to finally ignite the spark,

"What are you waiting for, man?

BRING US ANOTHER!!!"

That evening, Porter Town exploded in tumultuous pandemonium, as the frenzy of ambitious men filled the air with much excitement.

Kaito's eyes widened as he heard what her 'plan' was. It was indeed something that seemed to lust after glory. The sort of dumb plan that was so inconceivable it probably could only be done by a group such of these. A crowd of men in the midst of toppling over from overconsumption.

For the Dragon's Wrath himself whose judgement was far less clouded by his own estimation it seemed like a fun test. Both for himself and to see what a random crowd of drunks could do. Had his former pirate crew been a fluke of luck or was this something reproducible. It was an idea that brought fire to his blood as he placed a hand on the hilt of his captain's sword. Fingers gripped it twisting their way around falling into place where Jack's grip had left indentations in the hilt.

For him her words didn't do what it did for others. And though his blood boiled and he was excited for what was to come that which he saw in the fools at the bar who'd come to celebrate his return was extraordinary.

Unfortunately for her declaration at the end, they'd run out of the craft he'd brought to the bar for this occasion. So there was not in fact another to be had, not here at least. Carting the numerable barrels from Whiskey Town to Porter Town had meant there'd be limited supply which due to some heavy drinking on his groups part had quickly exhausted what he'd brought. Which meant ... he turned to the actual bartender of the joint he'd commandeered.

"Well I dunno what ya think. You got enough on tap to keep goin'? In return it seems we'll give you a show you'll never forget." He said with a cheeky grin as he looked upon the disgruntled barman. The barman glanced at him twisting a an annoyed hand through an empty mug. Placing one hand on the bar he bent beneath the counter to check what stores he had remaining.

Glancing back up he frowned looking at the group. "Only after you all do whatever you're planning. Its a reward not a sendoff."

Disappointment was an understatement when it came to how Rémi felt after the lack of liquor was made public. She even felt a twinge of awkwardness once a few of the men looked back to her in confusion after her rowdy speech ended in such an anticlimactic finish. But this was not a night for speeches of glory but a night of actions. However they managed to execute this game of hers was irrelevant, all that mattered was she be the one thrust into the spotlight when the climax of the night came to a close. And she had been waiting for such a moment for far too long.

"If what you say is true, then we'll all be expecting appropriate compensation, isn't that right men?" The sword girl's words reverberated through the crowd until all those who were present jumped up in accord and hooted amongst each other with jolly malevolence for the sorry Marines. "Excellent." She nodded to herself with a grin clearly impressed by the pull she could have over people. Though they were easy to persuade given their current conditions, it was quite the miracle to be able to convince all of the drunkards present to follow her plan.

Now all she needed was an actual strategy to take the base down. Because for all pomp and passion she exuded with that speech, Rémi had no honest idea how exactly she and the group would accomplish such an immense feat. The biggest number of Marines she had ever been around her whole life were two and they never actively tried to kill her nor had they ever been in a highly secure and armed fortress of a base. The girl needed ideas to tackle this operation, literally and figuratively. 

She immediately looked to whom she considered the most qualified candidate to be the leader of such an endeavor and though she loathed acknowledging the fact, he was the only other person besides her who could sway these inebriated lechers to do her bidding. Her finger rose up and pointed once again in the direction of the dragon suited in red. "Since you seem to be quite the party planner for dull occasions such as tonight, why don't you provide us some tips on where to head next?"

Kaito shrugged at the bartenders words. To be honest he didn't know how much a bar in Porter Town kept on them in terms of alcohol. It definitely would not have been as much as at Whiskey Town where many of the people seemed to subsist on alcohol. He bit his lip, the word that there would be none seemed to cool the hearts of those who'd been pumped for this adventure. Of course that lasted only a short while as the rabble rousing girl sprang to action with words to send the drunk's hearts aflame once more.

Then suddenly in the middle of her talk she turned and called on Kaito. "Me?" Kaito pointed to himself frowning a little at that expectation. He was surprised to be called on to lead this endeavor. "This is your plan isn't it?" He asked in annoyance to the girl opposite him trying to suddenly throw the responsibilities onto him.

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in thought at what they might do. Attacking a Marine Base, he'd not done that before even with the Whiskey Pirates. That crew had always been a bit more of the raid, plunder, and just have fun sorta group. They'd had no wish to fight the marines save for when the marines went out of their way to attack them. Well whatever, if we need a plan then ... He glanced over the group for any familiar faces from Whiskey Town. Light brown eyes planted themselves upon a familiar face, and one who had a skill that might be particularly useful here. "Oi Bori, you still own a gun shop?" An unsuspecting man of average build glanced up surprised to be mentioned and then confused nodded his head.

"Perfect. Can you grab a barrel or two of gunpowder for us." The man's eyes widened but in his drunken way he nodded his head. "The rest of ya'll go home, get yerself a gun a sword or something and meet back here in lets say ... an hour! Then HAVOC!" He yelled raising a hand into the air trying to pump up the energy once again.
