Mission #1: Doctor to the Rescue! (Crem & Jack)

Jack was fully asleep on his boat traveling through the sea, unaware of where he currently is, only a few bumps here and there but one massive one finally woke him up, a massive bump into something, Jack stands up to see what he did bump into only to see that he has reached land, some sort of town, very well built and yet it's inhabitants seem somewhat... dangerous, he has heard of a place like this but he can't remember it from the back of his mind, Jack was about to sail off again due to this fact but realized he's nearly out of food and drink, seeing how lively the town is there is surely gonna be a shop or two for restocking, so Jack ties his boat to a nearbly pole and brings his stuff with him so nobody steals it.

After checking the town inside, he didn't expect it to be so lively! and there is many shops around him that he wants to check! but before he goes into any of this, he decides it's best to know WHERE he is first before he does anything as childish as that, so he catches the attention of a nearby fellow in a suit who seems respectable enough, and says in advance "Good afternoon sir, or... is it morning? nonetheless, I'd like to ask what this town's name is?"

The Gentleman laughs, thinking Jack was possibly joking just to get engaged in a conversation, after the short burst and seeing Jack's face, he realized he wasn't joking, the Gentleman adjusts his suit properly and then says "My boy, you don't know your in Loguetown? the birthplace and execution place of the legendary pirate king, Gol D. Roger? the place where pirates meet up before going to the grand line?"  then Jack's jaw absolutely drops, he had a suspicion that he was at some place of a certain status because some of the people he saw looked like pirates and of how lively it was, but he didn't imagine he reached Loguetown! Jack then asks politely for directions, and where the nearby shops and possible Tavern is, the Gentleman tells him, and says there's is a local tavern nearby but to be careful because he heard about recent pirate fights going out at the place, Jack's thinking about staying for the night so he can check out Loguetown, he couldn't really believe he's at this special town! despite it being full of pirates, Jack was excited but first he thought it'd be best to go shopping for supplies, he has some of his leftover money from his old job back in his town, so he should just have about enough to pay for groceries.

Jack followed the Gentleman's direction that he told him to go, and found a market! going inside he instantly started grabbing what he needed, such as meat, noodles, and a few healthy things as well! and a couple bottles of water, Jack believes he has all the stuff he needs already so he goes to the counter and putting all the stuff on the counter, prepared to pay the lady on the desk it turns out she's in a call with somebody using a den-den Mushi, Jack was about to yell hurry up, but he can wait... it's better to be a gentleman, so he just simply stands there, and putting his upper body on the counter and using his elbow up to his hand holding up his head, just bored waiting.

Loguetown was bustling with people, where she would normally be fine to walk she had to take extra effort not to bump into people and gingerly stepping around people and out of their way, getting stuck a few times when the foot traffic didn't allow her to move through.

She was partly there for tourist reasons, though she personally wasn't intent on becoming a pirate like many of the others that surrounded her, and an equal force of marines on street patrol that tried to keep the peace and keep an eager eye on anyone that may have had a bounty.

The woman's bright blue eyes darted from place to place, looking at all the shops that she passed and all the different people with different clothes all gathered up to prepare themselves for the grand adventure that lay ahead of them. There was just so many things going on that she couldn't help but get distracted at least a few times as she wandered about looking for a community bulletin board. She had figured that they had probably put such a thing in the center of town, though with all the different streets she could have easily gotten lost without a map that a useful marine seaman had hastily drawn on the back of a wanted poster, rough guidelines and landmarks scribbled down with important street-names in short hand. At the utmost top of the paper was a number that would get her in direct contact with the seaman that had drawn her the map, should she need any assistance or further directions. Though she couldn't quite figure out why he had pointed two finger guns at her, clicked his tongue and gave a wink before returning to his patrol in a somewhat cocky manner.

She looked up from the piece of paper and tried to find a street name anywhere around, only spotting the shop signs and logos carved or painted on wood and metal that hung above the doors to each building. She swallowed the saliva that had gathered in her mouth from walking all day and the added anxiety of being lost. It was only then that she realized how dry her mouth and throat felt. Surely she could diverge from her path for a bit for a drink, then she could get back to looking for the town center and ask for directions of the bar host.

As she continued down the way the crowds of people thinned, it was only a few blocks before her eyes caught the sign that said "Tipsy Gull Tavern" with the image of a drunken seagull with it's chin and feet on the ground, rear and tail feathers stuck in the air with little swirls around it's head, a half empty mug of ale held in it's wing.

What a cute name! She thought to herself as she passed the windows that were boarded up, a merry tune hailing her from inside.

She pushed open the door meagerly, looking in cautiously before entering. It seemed she was not the only patron and the ten men shot her a curious but disinterested look, as though she wasn't worth their time, the four closest to her continued their game of cards, another table of four continued to talk among themselves,one of the two at the furthest end of the bar whispering something to the barman. The bar tender gave a silent nod and walked over to greet the woman.

Finally! after the call was done, the lady attended to Jack and started counting up the items he picked up, the lady seemed to count up the items pretty fast and then say "That will be 782 beri." not a bad price for such a town like this, Jack thought, happily paying the lady the said amount. After that he walked out full of supplies, luckily he has some beri left so perhaps the tavern will have a good price as well, Jack still following the directions he was given, he decided to check out the town, and he wanted to see the famous stand where the pirate king himself was executed! Jack seemed to follow the right route, seeing a massive square up ahead only to see it semi-populated, and seeing a massive stand going high up, but it seemed as if it was re-built, some parts were missing to it... something must of happened to the stand if it looks like that, Jack was happy to see it but somewhat disappointed by it's condition, and now feels unmotivated to check out the rest of the town, so he decides to follow a route to supposedly where a tavern might be.

Jack just following down the route normally, he then gets stopped by a marine carrying some sort of weird, yet shiny stone saying "Excuse me sir, sorry to stop you like this, you seem pretty busy so I'll go through this fast... due to how the seas are and the increased population of pirates that have come, were making a survey to see how regularly Devil's Fruit users might come through here, touch this stone please, only tap it once." Jack, is weirded out by this marine asking for something like this, but decides to obey because he doesn't want to cause unwanted attention, he touches it, feeling weak and falls on his knees... what the heck was that? Jack only just touched some weird stone and instantly lost his strength? the marine helps Jack up and says "Sorry for that sir, but it seems you are a Devil's Fruit user, and I don't recognize you on any bounty posters... well, I hope you stay out of trouble whatever power you have, and sorry for that sir, the effect will wear off in a few seconds." Jack feeling nervous, do the marines have eyes on him now that he showed he was a Devil's Fruit user? he decided to just walk off back to the direction of the tavern.

Jack was walking for hours, seeing a few shops, meeting a few people and accidentally seeing a few activities that shouldn't off happened, after finally seeing the tavern, the title of the tavern "Tipsy Gull Tavern" and seeing how the image is under the title... Jack gets the wrong idea about this tavern, that it's probably a place he shouldn't be visiting but walking around all day and especially touching that weird stone, he just wants to rest.

Walking into the Tavern, all eyes were instantly on him, staying on him... one of the pirates notice how much he is carrying and stands up, walking up to Jack and says "Hmm... that's a big load of things you got there, wouldn't happen to have treasure with it, if not, alcohol? if you wanna go through me your gonna have to donate something mate." Jack takes a step back, noticing how exhausted he is he can't take on this drunk pirate, let alone his pirates friends if they decide to join in, Jack decides to try and intimidate the pirate saying "I ain't somebody you wanna threaten pal, I am a devil's Fruit user!" Jack saying this with confidence, the pirate pulls out his blade and puts it at Jack's throat, saying "Oh goody! a devil fruit eh? how about I kill ya and get it outta ya? I heard the market buys 'em fruits for a very high price." right then at this moment, the bartender yells at the drunken pirate to stop, or he gets kicked out... the Pirate obeys and puts away his blade, all the pirates stop looking and they just get back to their business as if that never happened, Jack talks to the bartender, thanking him for ending that conflict and gives him beri to stay for the night and receives a key to his room from the bartender, and then he notices a blonde-haired lady who doesn't seem drunk at all "Oh good, a non-drunken pirate and I was afraid I was the only one." Jack says jokingly, Jack then heads upstairs to his room, laying down all his stuff and locks the door, then he jumps on the bed, to take a nap.

The woman sat down at the bar, ordering a cold apple juice and getting an odd look for not ordering anything alcoholic. The bar tender checked for her but couldn't didn't have any, informing her that the only non-alcoholic things that he had was stuff that could be mixed with alcohol, like orange juice and cola. She smiled at him and told him that a cola would be fine, grabbing some salted pretzels from behind the bar to go with it. Bars would often sell salted snacks to make their customers more thirsty, encouraging them to drink more and as such, spend more.

"I was wondering if you could help me out a bit. I'm not really from around here and I was trying to find the main square where the execution stand is." She asked gently, leaning on the counter and nibbling on the bread stick.

It came to a surprise to absolutely nobody in the room that she wasn't from these parts or she would probably know better then to come in in the first place. The look on the bar tenders face told her that she'd over shot her mark and missed a turn somewhere, going further than she should have and possibly walking straight past it.

"Well missy, You're gonna wanna go south two blocks and east five."
"Thank you, which way is south?" She asked, her hand covering her mouth after swallowing the mouthful that she was munching on. The bartender raised a hand and pointed in the direction that she'd come in from. She gave a little sigh and looked at the makeshift map that she had been given from the marine, trying to find the turn off that she'd over looked in her travels.

One of the pirates further down the bar noticed the map, but could only see the side opposite to the one with directions, the side that displayed the bounty of a 10,000 beri pirate that she'd never heard of nor seen before. The pirate nudged his buddy at the bar and gestured with a flick of his head towards her and the paper in her hands. His companion seemed to agree with him in concluding that she must have been a bounty hunter and they decided between themselves that it was better that she be put out of commission before she had the chance to come after them. It was just one little girl and they could handle it without the rest of their crew, the two standing up and walking over to her, one resting a hand on her shoulder, the other crossing his flexed arms over his chest in an intimidating position, blocking her way out.

"You've got a lot of nerve showin' your face here." The man with his hand on her shoulder said in a voice low enough that the bar tender couldn't hear, that sent a shiver up her spine, telling her to be careful and that the situation had turned to one of danger.

Her hand shaking ever so slightly as she rinsed her mouth out with a sip of her beverage and looked over her shoulder at the man, unable to mask the fear in her eyes, even her face was honest.

"P-pardon?" She asked politely and in as normal a tone as she could manage, not trying to be quiet. Hopefully if he had to repeat himself it might make a bit more sense and they could figure out a way to settle things without violence. The bartender had already warned his crew-mate so maybe that would offer her some protection? Or at least, that's what she was betting on.

Jack instantly wakes up from hearing some sort of unknown commotion coming from downstairs, so he decides to get out of bed, unlocks his door and quickly rushes down only to find the blonde-haired lady he saw earlier on the ground, and appears to have a cut wound on her forearm... Jack already seeing the culprit with a knife in his hand, the Pirate gives him a threatened look, then saying "Why don't you just turn around and head back to your room? this is nothing for you to see." Jack shakes his head in disagreement, refusing for an act like that to go unpunished saying "I don't think I will actually, the girl looks, and seems completely harmless and you attacked her?" but then, Jack notices a bounty poster on top of some other paper, realizing it matches the description of the pirate that's in front of him, Jack gets excited then looks at the pirate again saying "If you give me a moment please? I just gotta grab something." Jack then rushing upstairs, grabbing the two iron knifes from his bag and then heading back down again, the pirate seems confused, Jack then says "Alright buddy time to get serious, If you like picking on girls how about you pick someone your own size? I can defeat you." the Pirate laughs at this, along with the other pirates of his crew... the Pirate does some sort of hand signal, all his other crew mates stand up unsheathing their weapons, the pirate says "You honestly think you can beat us with just those knifes? you sure are stupid." Jack, ignoring this starts to walk outside of the tavern, the Pirates puts up their weapons as he walks by each of them but they didn't attack, he points to them and then shakes his head in the direction of the exit, saying to head outside, the Pirates seem confused but do walk outside anyway.

Jack, just simply waiting for the rest of the pirates to head outside, he has both knifes in both hands, and seems to be in a ready stance... then the Pirate stands in front of all the pirates in some form of formation, Jack then starts smiling, appearing to have some form of plan in mind, he then opens his mouth saying "Oh, and by the way I wasn't lying when I said I was a devil fruit user..."  Jack raises up his hand, then after a bit of effort, a spore comes out of his hand to show it so, then he uses Spore Injection in the ground, spawning more spores one by one, making them all sprout out poison performing his technique Short Burst, then some of the pirates start to show some fear showing that they don't know too much about Devil Fruit's and only rumors, one of them says "Sorry Captain... I owe you a lot, but I don't owe you my life! I'm not gonna fight a Devil fruit user..." he and a few other pirates run off the Captain yells at them to get back right away, but none of them do... only the Captain and three other pirates remain, The Captain looks pretty pissed off, taking a serious look at Jack then saying "You sure have the guts to do that to ME... but I know you devil fruit users are vulnerable, you may have an advantage over us with that sort of power, but that doesn't make you immortal." Jack laughs at this, during the time the Pirates were running away and the Captain trying to get them back, Jack's poison has already gone up to 5 meters, looking at the Captain saying "Well then, if you think that's the case come on right over here and attack me!" Jack then just calmly sitting down, intimidating the Captain... he commands his troops to rush right in and attack him... as they start running at Jack in the poison cloud they unsheathe their weapons, two with a sword and one with a spear and as soon as they get in the poison, they start to move weirdly, trying to scratch places that are itchy. Jack takes advantage of this and runs straight up with his two knifes, he charges up his strength in one of his Knifes, using all this strength with his knife and stabbing one of the pirates powerfully through the chest, using his technique Powerful Stab then the pirate falls down.


The other two pirates are just standing together, still just constantly itching their skin... Jack rushes up in front of them, and then fastly starts to stab with both knifes in-front of him, both pirates taking damage heavily and they jump out of the poison cloud but can't get back up from the damage of what Jack just did, Jack performed Multiple Stabbings on them, the Captain on the other end is just watching this away from the cloud, and he begins to slowly clap "Congratulations, you defeated my weak crew mates, are you happy? now that it's truly one-on-one, I humbly request that you fight me with only those knifes, no cheating involved, no devil fruits, only our weapons and our strength." Jack nods his head agreeing to this, then he uses his spores to clear out the poison so the pirates that are injured won't have problems from the poison, Jack then starts running up at the captain, the captain quickly grabs out his sword, he tries to take a slash at Jack and Jack blocks it using both of his knifes, Jack takes a swing at the captain, only for it to be deflected and then having Jack in a tight spot, does an overhead swing nearly getting Jack, but he dodged just in time and they do this back and forth, just constantly slashing at each other and clashing.

"Don't give me lip, Missy!" The man with his hand on her shoulder hissed at her, flicking up the back of his shirt to grab the leather handle of a jagged iron dagger with one hand, raising it in such an obvious and intimidating manner to make her stumble off her bar stool. She wasn't lucky enough to fall gracefully, nor lucky enough to get away without a wound as the man slashed down at her, blade cutting through her jacket's sleeve easily and tearing at the soft flesh underneath.

The woman crumpled on the floor, her uninjured hand covering the wound and applying pressure on the bleeding as a small amount of warm blood soaked into the clothes. Her arm stung and burned, but the pressure seemed to be helping. She tried to use her legs to kick back away from the man, scurrying as best as she could backwards without the use of her arms. Her eyes had begun to water but her body dared not let out so much as a scream, a cry or a sob, terrified into silence.

Movement from the staircase offered a distraction for but a moment, letting her get some further distance, slowly worming her way from the man as the pirate warned the devil fruit user to return to his room. Her lip shaking somewhat when the man not only came to her aid but seemed to be defending her, leaving only for a few seconds and returning with weapons of his own.

The back and forth of the two rivals seemed to take the heat off her and bring the attention to the two, the rest of the crew more interested in this new comer that seemed to want to go head to head with their captain. Some of the men chuckled to themselves. One licked his lips like a dog that was looking at a steak. They all seemed eager for a bit of entertainment that this duel would offer them.

She watched silently as the crowd and the fighters left to have a round out in the street. The bar tender swore to himself, glad that they weren't going to destroy his establishment and regret for the devil fruit users life thrown away to be some sort of hero. It was obvious on the man's face that he didn't have a doubt that the man would die that day. The bartender then moving around the bar and helping her to her feet, hunched with his head down like he was expecting bullets to zing through the boarded up windows at any time. The tap jockey walking her to the back exit so that she could get out of the tavern and run in the opposite direction for when they came back in, but they both stopped when they saw that only a few of the crew remained. The two looked at each other and wondered what had happened in the short amount of time it took them to get outside.

They had seemed to have caught the tail end of the fight as the hero thrust one of his daggers through one of the pirates chest in a lethal display of force. Two of the remaining pirates bumbling out of the cloud, itching and scratching at themselves like they'd been wrapped in poison ivy. The leader simply stood back, showing know concern for his crew, as though they were simply expendable and that he could get many more to join his crew anyway, as though he was weeding out the weak and unworthy.

She was too far away to hear what the man had said, but her hero complied with a nod and sent out some sort of tiny orbs from his hand. She was quick to conclude that that must have been his devil fruit power and was possibly limited to a range similar to Zenit's Camera Obscura ability.

The next bout of close combat had seemed to have begun without much announcement as the two rushed each other, blocking, parrying and taking swings at one another with sword and knives respectively. The barman and damsel clung to each other silently as they watched, not really sure what to anticipate and caught up in the scene in front of them, both breathless and hanging on every movement like it would somehow determine their fates.

Jack back-steps a bit, then jumping at the captain about to swing at him, the captain riposte Jack's dagger, and then stabbing just briefly in Jack's left shoulder, falling to the ground in some pain... he gets back up and decides to stop moving his left arm, having only his right dagger left to fight this pirate... the pirate then says "Awww... what's the matter, not so tough now are you? not without your left arm, and especially without your devil fruit." Jack, nearly irritated by what he says, but then saying himself "Your right, I'm nothing without my devil fruit aren't I?" smiling, Jack then lets out a spore into the ground, spreading out poison in the following area... the Captain backing off, saying "Hey! I said no Devil fruits, where's your honor?!" Jack laughing, replying "You and I, were pirates... honor? it doesn't exist with us,  especially you leaving your crew mates to get hurt and possibly killed, I do have my morals and honor, but I'm not going to die in a town like this, or submit to something so stupid, you seem to have such tough talk a second ago, if you think I'm so weak without my devil fruit, I'll use my devil fruit to give you a proper challenge."


the Captain, now frustrated grabs a smaller knife compared to Jack's from his pocket and throws it at Jack, forcing him to run out of where Jack planted the poison cloud from the spore, the Captain rushes at him to try and seize the chance, only for Jack to plant another one and spreading out fast, before the captain manages to escape he starts to get itchiness making his running delayed a bit, Jack rushing right at the captain manages to stab him right in the back, the Captain then falls down from the pain, starting to itch his skin as well... looking terrified at Jack, he says "Please let me go! I know I did things that weren't proud or honorable at all! but I promise, I'll stay out of your way from now on just let me live!" Jack, without hesitation nods and signals him to run away, the Captain doing so running away in the distance just barely, he can be seen scratching himself and running at the same time, Jack realizing the fight is over, he removes the poison clouds and walks back into the bar... the Bartender looking massively shocked, the bartenders mate smiling at him, and the lady looking somewhat amazed, deciding to be nice Jack says "I'm sure that cut will need some medical attention, I'll get some bandages, also don't worry about my cut on the shoulder, it can wait, ladies first after all." Jack walking up the stairs to grab the bandages, and a cloth to clean up any blood... walking back down, asking the lady to put her forearm on a table and he cleans up the blood, then bandaging up the cut looking all better to Jack, he says "Alright, I'm gonna get something to drink, pretty sure the bartender is going to be generous after I sorta saved his establishment, I'll buy you one if you want as well." Jack walking off and up near the bartender, grabbing a drink from him and starts drinking straight away.

Cremuex stood silently as she watched the fight draw to a close. The man that had jumped to her defense had come out the victor, and while she couldn't clearly hear what was being said the man's stance over the pirate as they cowered was telling enough. The hand gesture that brushed off the captain said something of his character to- He wasn't doing it to kill them, he wasn't after vengeance of any sort, it was almost as though the captain wasn't worth his time. He could have easily landed a finishing blow, but his act of mercy resonated with her somewhat, though she was still dumbfounded as to how it had all happened. She'd just watched it all unfold without really taking it in, only moments later she wouldn't have a way to describe all the dodging and quick jabs and pretty devil fruit magic that had occurred.

Her dreamers gaze was cut short as the man came up to her, offering to treat the cut on her arm. To be completely honest, she'd forgotten about it, and while the pain was still there, it simply wasn't at the forefront of her mind.

"N-No no, it's fine, I'm fine, thank you- but are you alright?" She asked, more concerned for the man than for herself, she hadn't just gone head to head with a band of pirates like he had. The man shrugged off her concern, simply stating 'ladies first' as a be all end all. She went to say that she had a first aid kit in her bag, and that she could get it, or help with something, but before her lips could move the man had dashed off upstairs, only to return moments later with his gear.

She wasn't really sure what to say, these sorts of things didn't usually happen to her and it was only out of a mix of bad luck, misunderstanding and circumstance that such an occasion had arisen. She simply gave a nod as the man suggested that she put her arm on the table so that he could see to her wound properly. She rolled up her sleeve quietly, a small amount of blush on her cheeks as she thanked whatever deities that be for not letting her get cut higher up or needing to remove her coat. She didn't flinch until the saline and antiseptic treated wash cloth wiped away the blood still flowing (albeit more slowly) from her cut, dabbing it dry and wrapping her forearm in a bandage. His movements seemed quite practiced, even to her untrained eye, and she could tell from the amount of tension he put on it (not too tight, but not sloppy either), that he'd had more than a little experience in taking care of people. The faint thought calling to her that he was in the medical profession, at least somewhat.

Her blue eyes lifted up to meet the doctors green eyes, just enough to try and read his intentions before he wondered over to the bar, offering her a drink as well.

"I... uhh... Don't drink alcohol." For a woman that was raised in a tavern this might have struck anyone as odd but she just didn't see the allure. Sure she'd tried some different stuff before, but it just wasn't her thing.

"Thank you... for defending me... You were really great and-" Her feeble voice perked up again as her curiosity got the better of her. "How did you do that? With the green things and the circle and stuff?" She wasn't at her most eloquent when she was excited, but the spores area of affect had interested her, and meeting Devils Fruit users was a rare enough occurrence in this world, she simply couldn't let such an opportunity pass her up.

Jack, looking somewhat glad at what the lady just said, glad that somebody has some interest over what his devil fruit was... then again, this is still the blues, someone seeing a devil fruit power here is like seeing magic, seeing how excited the lady is, he just couldn't keep her in suspense any longer saying "Haha... well, to be honest you'd probably laugh... but it is efficient as you have seen, I am a Spore Man, eating the Noko-Noko no Mi, I am capable of creating and controlling spores that can sprout out poison, so far all they do is itch, but they are helpful enough for me to get the hit in." Jack, then drinking alcohol, starts to realize that his stomach is burning up for some reason, and stops drinking the alcohol, covering his stomach saying "Oohh... yeah... might I mention... fire is my weakness... and alcohol as well..." the Bartender looking right at Jack saying "WHAT? You drank three glasses of alcohol!" Jack, sometimes forget he is weak to alcohol for some odd reason and needs to start remembering for next time, the bartender not getting a response, he decides to go back to his own business.

Jack, moving up to the lady, says "Hey so... I'll be going now, this has been nice and all but I doubt that Captain guy is gonna hold off from attacking this establishment again, you should probably go too... I don't have a Moshi with me, but can I grab your Moshi number? it'd be nice to have a friend on these seas."

"A spore-man..." she repeated quietly seemingly lost in thought as she contemplated what he'd told her, and indeed, shown off earlier.

"So, is that only poisons it can do?" She didn't mean to say 'only' in a manner that would sound like she was belittling their devil fruit power, but she was curious if it had the ability to branch off into different roots. Something about the word, for some reason or another, reminded her not of poison, but of plants. Specifically, the white puffy bits of a dandelion that some people blow on and make a wish.

While she didn't enjoy alcohol herself, she realised that the man must have gained his devil fruit powers reasonably recently to still foolishly drink alcohol when it came with such consequences. The one devil fruit user she did know, that being Zenit Basqiat, her sniper crush, was weak to water, so having fire be a weakness, and alcohol on top of that, seemed like a tough break. If they'd ever catch on fire, even putting them out with water would make them weak.

She simply blinked slowly at him when he suddenly decided that he would leave.

"But your stuff's still upstairs-" She interjected. Hadn't he come in earlier carrying more things? Possibly groceries?

"Oh! Of course! I'm always happy to make new friends!" She said smiling as she grabbed a napkin to write her name and number on, only at this point realising that she hadn't told him her name yet.

"Oh Flummery, I forgot to introduce myself. Name's Cremuex Levier, though most find it easier to call me Cre, or Crem or Cream or something like that." She said, getting up off her bar stool and giving a little curtsy to the man as she handed him the napkin with her details on it.

"You're right! I should get going, I still have to find Gold Roger's stocks yet, then a navigator." She said, partly to remind herself of the task at hand and why she'd even dropped into the establishment in the first place- for directions. Directions which she now had scribbled on the back of her piece of paper, the same paper that had caused all the fuss in the first place.

Grabbing the napkin, Jack jokingly says "Heh, didn't imagine I'd ever get a girls number, but thank you, maybe we'll meet each other on the seas once again, and by the way my name's Jack, Jack Raiiri, technically the full name is Jack E. Raiiri, whatever floats your boat and maybe I'll see you soon maybe." putting the napkin in his pocket, answering Cremeux's question about the poison saying "Oh, and so far yes... it can only explode out poison... I only just got this ability recently, eating a Devil Fruit to try and prepare me for the seas, not really a top-list choice to be a spore-man but it's not bad either." then paying his bill to the bartender, heading upstairs to actually fix his own wound as well, basically treating his wound how he treated Cremeux's wound, and with that healed and starting to pack his things, while packing he thinks about whether or not he should invite Cremeux to his crew... or join her crew if she has one, Jack is sure he left a good impression on her and her crew maybe might be in need of a doctor but still... if it's meant to be, it's meant to be, he'll join her if everything is really hinting towards it.

Jack finally done with packing his gear, having a satchel and a backpack he walks back down, seeing Cremeux is still there... he gives one wave at her as he walks out, but before going out  he completely forgotten about how the captain pirate had a bounty... walking backwards in the bar with a somewhat idiotic face, he turns his head around looking straight at the bartender saying "Bartender... the captain had a bounty right? the pirate that I let free at the end?" the bartender seems somewhat surprised, but replying with "Uh... yeah, I believe he does... I think it was behind this map" the bartender lifting Cremeux's map on the table and turning it around seeing the captains bounty right there, Jack's jaw completely drops... Jack being silent for a few seconds then suddenly... a mushroom pops right out of his head, then yell out "CRAP! I forgot he had a bloody bounty... he couldn't have gone far!" Jack rushing right out of the bar fast going around the streets searching, the bartender having a surprised, and yet a somewhat disappointing look saying "What a weird devil fruit... wouldn't really be my choice either."

Jack running around everywhere... remembering where he was running... he followed the path to where Gol D. Roger's execution was, but about halfway he sees a marine handcuffing someone... Jack takes a closer look only to see it's actually the captain... Jack walks right up saying "Excuse me Mr. Marine sir, that guy started trouble at the bar over there with this crew... the one with the drunken seagull sign? I managed to kick him and his crew out... well, technically speaking I've done more then kick the captain... I sorta stabbed him in the back if you see that wou-" before Jack goes on, the marines burst into tears, laughing... pointing at Jack's head... only to realize the Mushroom on his head... Jack looking to be irritated pulls it off and giving the marine a serious look... the marine sees this and immediately stops, saying "Sorry mate, finders keepers... this guys been harassing locals, charged for certain murders and the like... if I bring him to my superior I'm likely to get promoted! thank you for AAALLL your hard work, which I am gonna take credit for." Jack getting real angry at this, starts yelling at the marine, the marine argue back at him, going back and forth and the captain is just standing there in silence, somewhat scared, the argument going louder and louder.

She took his little comment about not being able to get a girl's number as a joke, though part of her honestly believed it and couldn't help but want to give the bloke a cuddle and tell him that things would get better. Then again, maybe she was just on the easier side of things and other girls were less lenient towards giving out their number. She decided to remember his name as Jack. E. For no other reason than because it sounded like a cute nickname.

She couldn't quite figure out the logic behind eating a devil fruit in order to go out to sea; Was he not aware of the draw back of sinking like an anchor in water? The seas are full of that stuff, so it seemed like the exact opposite of what anyone should want to do, and yet... people still did it, more and more, almost as if something from the ocean was calling to them.

She watched as the man walked backwards after going to leave to ask one last thing of the bar tender. Her hand shot up to her mouth and she bit down on a knuckle, trying to stifle a laugh at the man's unusual mushroom routine. That could be useful if something about the man's power hadn't hinted that anything that grew off him would be poisonous. This time he seemed to have left for good as he rushed out, leaving her and the bar tender alone.

"Devil fruit's seem a bit too risky for me, I don't think I'd ever eat one myself." She spent too much of her time in water- swimming, fishing, collecting shells and pretty rocks underwater. The chances of her actually coming across a devils fruit was rare any how. She finished the last of her drink, leaving behind some beri and a tip for the bar service and advice. She picked up her bag and her less than accurate map, thanking them for their help and giving a polite curtsy and leaving.

A trail of dust and dirt seemed to have kicked up from somewhere and she coughed it out of her lungs as she fanned some of the dirt away with her map. It just so happened that the dust was blowing away from the direction she intended to head and as she followed the trail that had caught itself up on the wind it led her straight to her green savior, arguing with a marine as the cowardly captain from before tried to worm away unnoticed.

This wasn't how marines were meant to behave and she couldn't help but stick out her lower lip in a grumpy pout. She knew better than to pick a fight with marines and while she wasn't one for honor, honesty was another thing entirely. In a crowded place like the execution stand there would be more than enough witnesses to say that the marine had caught him, They both seemed distracted enough arguing among themselves to not see the escape attempt under their noses.

"Please calm down." She finally spoke up, though not in a way that would be considered a shout or intimidating in the least as her boot weighed down on the chain between the captain's cuffs, preventing him from crawling off any further. The man's eyes rose to see who was blocking his path only to meet the blue eyes of the assumed bounty hunter from the tavern that he'd slashed at earlier. His face one of disbelief at his luck- bad in that she'd found him and would likely want vengeance, but good in that he was at the opportune angle to stare up her skirt.

"We can all agree that this was a joint effort? No?" she tried to get them to play on nicer terms- a partial payment of a bounty was better than no payment at all, and there was no reason they couldn't both be heroes, though she had no desire for reward or praise.

"I believe the Captain can tell you who he was running from, if not him, than his crew can. That would be in your power to investigate wouldn't it? Or at least, the power of your superiors?" The Captain's adam's apple undulated as he swallowed the saliva in his mouth with a gulp, looking at the marine and the devil fruit user with fear in his eyes.

the Marine notices everyone looking at them now, he gives the crowd a serious look, saying "Okay! back off people! nothing to see here, official marine business." and people do back off... as they do, the marine gets back to both Jack and Crem saying "Okay... if your gonna make such a fuss about it, how about I split the bounty money with you? it'd be less trouble for you, added with the fact that we were to look out for a green-haired man that is supposedly a devil's fruit user who might start trouble, the fact you took out a minor crew and a somewhat experienced captain proves that you are somewhat dangerous... if you turn the captain in they'll start to watch you, thinking you are potentially a dangerous pirate later on unless your some sort of bounty hunter so how about this, I get all the credit, the marines stay off you, I get some of the bounty money and split with you some of it if you keep quiet, deal?"

Jack just slightly nods, confused and angry at the same time but the marine goes into a different path direction, walking off in the distance with the captain... Jack being surprised, how do the marines know he's a devil fruit user? then remembering earlier when he walked around town... he was surveyed by a marine that supposedly checks how many devil fruit users go through Loguetown... when he touched that unknown stone that made him weak, is that some sort of stone that makes devil fruit users weak? if marines have the power to have those type of resources, it's the more obvious reason to steer clear of them... it's the better logical choice for that marine to get all the credit in that case, in-fact the marine is awfully nice to let Jack run free... then remembering, the marine would get all credit and it's possible he would get a promotion for getting a captain like that... after all the thinking, the marine pops on back, the captain no longer in sight and waving at Jack.

the Marine says "Oh man! you should've seen the look on the officers face when I brought the captain in! I'm pretty sure I'm getting that promotion, and it couldn't of been done without you... so here's your payment, and like I said... I haven't mentioned any word of your involvement or any sightings of you, so your in the clear." the Marine putting on Jack's hand a bag of beri that's somewhat heavy, Wow! that's sure a lot of beri, the Marine looking really happy saying "Enjoy it! I'm not the very charitable type but on this occasion, I'm king of the world baby! and I'm more then charitable!" the Marine running back in the direction he came from... I guess Marines can be cool sometimes, Jack thought... but he did get some money from his work of saving the day, marines didn't get the right idea of him AND the marine is most likely gonna get a promotion for it... guess it's win-win for everyone.

Jack, looking at Crem saying "Soooo... the plan before was to go back on my boat and just sail wherever my boat takes me... but... this bag of beri?! we can do tons of shopping, I'm not sure whether or not you explored Loguetown yet or at all but I'm sure we'll have a chuck load of fun with this money now! wanna go exploring this town with me? I might wanna buy a Den-Den as well... dropped my last one in the sea, poor snail... oh! and got any questions you want to ask?"

She didn't really consider it to be making a fuss, at least, not in comparison to the two shouting at each other and making a scene. She didn't see why the navy just assumed that if someone was a devil fruit user that they'd become a pirate later on. It wasn't as though devil fruit users we missing from the navy either.

Only a few moments passed and she took the opportunity to check the notice boards to see if there were any potential crew members that we're looking for work. Surely enough, she wasn't the only person to come to Logue town looking to fill out some vacancies, and several notices looking to hire had been placed up. Some of them, looked fairly innocent, others, had a more sketchy feel that ever she found hard to ignore.

She closed her eyes and sighed. She would have no luck in finding a navigator or a shipwright with this much demand in the economy. She would be better off to buy some books that explained the simplest and most rudimentary of skills.It wouldn't hurt her to learn, though with her direction sense, she would probably do better to learn how to control a boat than to do the navigation itself. If she got lost with a map and evident land marks, she would have no hope on an ocean with nothing to differentiate from and a night sky. Perhaps the sniper or swords-woman would know a few things?

She was happily surprised at the marine's return, he could have easily disappeared and not come back, or stayed behind at his station to revel in the praise of his superiors and peers alike. She couldn't help but smile at the interaction, the friendly happy banter much more pleasant than the row they were having just moments before.

She was a little bit surprised when Jack returned to her side, she didn't mind it of course, she just wasn't expecting it. It seems her friendly demeanor had won herself a comrade, at least in these waters. She listened as the man explained excitedly for his plans with the beri, giving a genuine smile and a nod as he talked to assure him that she was listening and following along.

"That's great Jack E!" she said in a casual almost familiar tone.

"I uhh... haven't really seen much of the town to be honest... Well, I guess I've kinda seen the portside docks but, they're really busy and people can get awfully pushy when they're trying to load stuff on their ships." She couldn't blame them, they must've been eager to make way for the next adventure, but good manners were always a bonus, pirate or not.

She nodded eagerly at the thought of exploring such a historic place, if not, at least the wide range of wares would make things interesting, and a few more books to snazzy up the library wouldn't hurt either, I'm sure being out at sea would offer plenty of time to relax with a good story or two.

"Mmmhmm, Den Den's are pretty useful!"[/color] She wondered what his would look like, and then her brain clicked into place that not only would it have sunk to the bottom of the ocean, but the salt in the water would have added to the poor thing's pain. She didn't have the heart to make a pun about 'Sea snails', but silently appreciated her den den and baby den den more. She would need to pamper them somehow, maybe with comfy interiors when she carried them around or some fresh greens- hers were quite fond of iceburg lettuce in particular.

"You uhh, don't perchance, know anything about navigating... do you?" She asked, her smile slanted in a manner as to show that she doubted that she'd have such luck, but it was worth a shot none the less.

Jack seemed somewhat crushed, he was thinking of making his own crew but maybe it might be too much trouble, he's not really fit to be a leader... and was thinking of joining instead, thinking he had a chance to join Crem's crew but asking that question, it seems she needs a navigator... Jack answered honestly, saying "Uh... sadly no, I am a somewhat experienced doctor, not a fully capable one mind you, I used to work along one back in my uh... town, and I picked up a few things working with him... so yeah." not being sure if Crem will accept him now, maybe she already has a doctor? Jack then worries about why the marine does the surveys again... pirates aren't the only devil fruit users, the marines have some of them as well... but then again, it IS Loguetown, the town where pirates goes before heading to the Grandline so it is possible there is a remote marine base on standby ready to kill any uprising or massive bounty pirates, that's sort of smart actually now that Jack thinks about it.

Nonetheless, the marine seemed kind enough and the navy has no clue of Jack's ability or his existence, going back to Crem... he says "Alright... let's walk around the street, see what stores has what, I'm sure one will have a Den-Den Mushi, and maybe there's a tour guide or something?"
