Mission #4 [Shipwrecked without a paddle]

Walking across the beach of this desert island in east blue would be a group of young children, many of them carrying broken boxes with supplies in them, some carrying food in their hands due to the boxes they were held in being completely shattered. A sign of what had happened in the distance where a shattered ship laid against the rocks of the beach of the island. All of the children of this group seemed not to be of great standard. Many of them rather dirty, and covered in tattered clothing. All being led by a rather irritated looking child, this child appears slightly different in the fact he had what appears to be the worlds most torn and dirty pirate captain's coat. While walking across the sands he'd begin to talk to the crew.

"So, when the captain says, 'rocks turn away'. HE DOESN'T MEAN TURN INTO THEM!" His voice full of frustration. The crew would respond in a monotone sense of forgiveness, "Sorry Captain Cid..." It appears in the crews panic of trying to avoid the rocks, they turned the wrong way and slammed head on into them. It's a miracle that none of them seemed to be badly injured, a few cuts and bruises. Someone limping with a sprained ankle that one of his fellow crew mates was helping him move along. Cid, the child leading the group, groaned loudly before planting his hand against his face, "and we just got the damn thing....well. Let's see if we can find some where we can make some shelter at and settle for the day." Heading into the small jungle forest ahead of them. Hopefully to find some sort of large cluster of trees to hide from the heat.

[Mitis]

The sea was a peaceful place... Free from the wars waged on land, the people looking to harm one another, the lack of supplies starving nations. It was nice being able to just sit there and enjoy the sounds of waves crashing against waves, no worries in the world aside from when he might arrive at his next destination. Seeing how there was nothing significant going on around him, the giant decided it would be a good idea to rest while his raft floated to wherever he would end up next. Letting out a loud sigh, the giant closed his eyes, crossed his arms, and slept. The smell of the sea filled his nose with each breath he took as he slowly drifted deeper and deeper into sleep, until images began appearing before his eyes. As usual, these images were the ones he saw every night. His family being killed in front of him, villages being crushed under the foot of a creature even larger than him. These images left the giant twitching in his sleep, rocking the raft he sat upon with each jolt of the giant's body. Eventually, the sudden sound of shouting woke him from his slumber, and he saw a barren island in the distance, with what seemed like a wrecked ship on it's rocky shore.

Waiting until he was close enough to shore to walk into the water, Mitis stood up and hopped off his raft, grabbing the large wooden construction after his feet touched the sandy surface of the bottom of the ocean. The water was deep enough to reach his chest, and was uncomfortably cold despite the warm climate he arrived in. It only took a few steps for the hulking figure to reach the shore, where he placed the raft, which was still dripping with sea water, then sat on the sand so that he could dry off. Sadly, however, it was not long before he saw a group of what was most likely children entering a nearby bush. Why would children be entering a bush? He had to investigate! The giant stood up once again, and began walking toward the bush to see what was going on. Each step he took seemed to shake the ground, which likely alerted the children of his presence, and he reached their location rather quickly.

As he looked down on the group, he noticed that most of them seemed to be carrying something, but their injuries were too small to be seen. Mitis dropped to his hands and knees, once again shaking the ground and sending various groups of birds flying from the trees, and looked at the group. "Mitis help?" He boomed. The giant would remain in this position until someone from the group replied, started running away, or whatever else they might do to react to the giant that just approached them.

It wasn't long after they sat down there stuff and Cid had a moment to sigh before he felt the large 'th-thud' of footsteps. Much like a scene out of jurassic park the group froze. They turned their attention towards the vibrations as they grew bigger and bigger. Some wishing to run, but one look from Cid would freeze them in place if they thought of running. They were victory pirates, and they do not cower so easily. So soon they were met face to face with a giant hunk of metal that boomed a voice. The vibration of the giant getting to his hands and knees knocking some of them on their butts. Cid stood infront of the group face to face with the giant, as the giant seemed to be offering help.


"I'd appreciate your help...But first, let us talk." While they were desperate, a free hand is rarely a real thing. So he wanted to assure that this giant wasn't just looking for a easy snack. "My name is Cid, Captain of the newly formed Victory Pirates. What is yours? His crew mates back away, but Cid seemed to just stare at the giant's helmet covered face with a smile. A sort of confidence rarely seen in a child when faced with a creature that some believe not to exist in more then fairy tales. But he did little more then move hair out of his face, a true sign of the captain he really was and the name his group carried.
