It was a warm evening in Serine City. Unusual for an isle in the North Blue, but not unusual for Amino Island. The sky was clear, not a single cloud disturbing the beautiful view of the setting sun. Bright colourful lights started to switch on everywhere. One club after another began to turn up its music. People flocked into the establishments, ready to enjoy another night.
Queen B. Melosa stepped out of the rundown inn they were staying at. While the rest of the Queen Pirates were relaxing inside, the captain herself had made it her utmost priority to get as much out of their last night here as possible. Hence her unusually fancy outfit. Her blades, normally tied to her back, were left in her room. There was little chance she'd need to fight tonight and if she did, there still was her Devil Fruit. Nothing on her person resembled her regular outfit. Instead, she was wearing tight-fitting black thigh-high boots and a yellow strapless dress that went down to her shins. Said dress had one pocket near her right hip that she had put her money bag in. Her traditional yellow gloves had been replaced by black ones today. The hair on her head was falling down in its unhinged wavy form.
Turning up her nose at some of the more shady looking joints. Dark strip clubs, smelly cigar places, moldy inns that were clearly preparing for drunk pirates to storm in and punch each other till morning, halls full of sweaty people jumping up and down. Those weren't the places she wanted to see. Luckily, there was plenty more to chose from. With a face of awe, the pirate princess strutted through the streets until she came close to the harbour, where the beach bars where located. La Colmena was anchored on the other side of the island, so she hadn't seen the ships parked here. Some were clearly pirate ships, others were tourist ferries, some belonged to the local security force. One particulary scary pirate ship caught her eye; bigger than most around it, with a intimidating flames all over the hull. The railing was spiky, like the teeth of a fortress. The Beehive woman shivered by the thought of what kind of person would chose to live on a swimming nightmare like that.
Eventually, Melosa decided to sit down at a cocktail place a good deal further down the street. There was a free table for two outside. A tea light candle and a string of lampions bathed the scene in warm red-ish light. Ordering something with orange juice and liquor in it, the pink-haired pirate took in the joyful atmosphere. Watching the crowd pass by, the Queen Pirate wondered if she'd make a new friend on Amino Island.
