Hello Everyone!

Let me begin by introducing myself.

My name is Alexander and I am 22 years old. I've come across this site pretty randomly upon searching for a One Piece-ish world where I could partake in. I've done some researching and found out somehow how this website works and how it serves it's purpose. I'm a little hesitant since I'm not a native English speaker nor am I exceptionally creative with my words or story-telling, YET - I am kinda interested about the system and how stories unfold upon the creation of the character. I checked some users and observed how they edited their text, something which I found quite interesting even though it's not the most important aspect all around.

Hopefully, with time, I can set some goals and accomplish them - because this website right here, is pretty interesting.

I am at the starting point. It makes me uncomfortable but equally excited given the unfamiliar setting.

Well seems I've run into this message just as it was posted. So welcome Ogu!

BV is a great community and don't worry about being new to forum RP, we've had a few first timers before some who even went on to becoming pillars of the community. As for not being a native speaker don't worry. Judging by your introduction you seem competent enough, and again you are far from the only one here. We have German, Swiss, French(that'd be me) and I think bunch of others I forgot? So just read the rules and enjoy!

I still have a few doubts but they're the kind that can be easily resolved. I am Portuguese but it's been a while since I wrote/spoke English and I'm needing it quite a little. Before I forget that is.


AND YES! I usually skip the rules but I guess that is a No-No thing, my bad.

Hello Alexandrogu! Welcome to BV!

As someone who isn't an English native either (I'm the Swiss z0 mentioned) I can understand your hesitation.

BUT

The BEST way to improve your English is to use it!

Honestly I had failing grades in English all through high school and yet I'm doing fine here.

It was a long way though, to reach where I am now, but it's possible. Just give yourself a chance!^^

Read the rules, they are something you should absolutely NOT skip. That might take a time but it will help you to find your way around here and it will save you time as you won't make mistakes you will have to edit out with a lot of additional work.

If you have any questions or problems, feel free to ask me (pm or pc) and I'll try to help you as good as I can. (Just to be clear from the beginning.. ask someone else about Devil Fruits as they're not my strong point)

Well, I'm still creating my character. I've done the personality and appearance part, I still have to think about the abilities. I don't want a devil fruit, don't like the idea of not being able to swim. 


I'll surely come around to asking you guys some help! I think I'll might need it! OH YES! Anyway, thanks very much for the hospitality. Hopefully I can make my character work out. I've been checking some of the profiles already approved and trying to get some ideas. At least until I can gain some more experience. 


And Shinku, it's hard to imagine you having failling grades!
