Enough, already. Lola batted Robin's hands away from her mouth, a scowl cutting across her face like a canyon. She didn't bother to say anything more and certainly didn't look at Nico Robin, who she was simply furious with at the moment. Although Lola was very close to Nami and admired Robin, she didn't pick up on the silent agreement that had passed between them. Tension radiated from her as she watched Nami flirtatiously reach out to the lion man and coax him into coming closer, smiling all the while. Obviously Nami didn't really like the guy, but she was doing a great job pretending. For his part, Absalom seemed to be on cloud nine, foolishly worming his way closer like he was trying to tease the navigator. Oh please! Even Nami's smiling facade began to crack under the absurdity of it; her eye twitched dangerously as he came closer, but her smile never relented.
"You've made the right decision, Nami," cooed Absalom, reaching out as though to embrace her. "I'll definitely make you happy--"
His vows were cut off by the end of Nami's weather rod jammed into his face. To Lola's amazement, the orange-haired navigator had utterly abandoned her false sweetness, her glare taking on an almost demonic quality as she bellowed at her misguided suitor. "All right!" said Lola happily, clenching one of her fists before her chest. A somewhat vindictive smile lit her features as she watched Nami send Absalom flying with a well-placed Thunder Charge. At Nami's signal, Lola and Robin moved in unison. The archaeologist anchored the invisible man where he had fallen, taking special care to bend his legs and arms almost backwards as Lola leapt and brought down both swords at once. Unfortunately Absalom had seen her coming and started to make his escape, but her stabs landed in his shoulders, pinning him to the floor. Absalom roared in rage and fumbled his arms around for a moment. Lola couldn't quite figure out what he was doing, until one of Nami's warnings came back to her-- can fire blasts from his hands.
The bazooka blast nearly lifted her from her feet. She reclaimed her swords and dodged, but despite her best efforts she was left with some nasty burns on her face and arms. She stumbled backward and dropped into a kneeling position, her swords clattered away behind her. The captain jumped up to retrieve them.
Robin cried out in pain as her scorched limbs vanished in small explosions of petals, but recovered quickly and pulled him into a hasty Ocho Fleur Clutch before he could vanish again. The entire back half of the store-- the fitting rooms, the stock room-- had been completely demolished. Lola looked at it with distress, hastily wiping away a rivulet of blood running into her left eye. That was going to be really hard to explain away. Honest, Mr. Marine, we were fighting the invisible half-lion zombie man who's stalking my friend! We definitely weren't trying to rob the place!
