"No, should I?" Responding to the question asked, Olivia looked towards the bespectacled soldier before facing Ffion again. Still exploring the labyrinthine archives that were her own memories, Miss van Pierre's head tilted a little as she continued to examine the unknown entity. In all honesty, there was no discernible differences between the militaristic male and his comrades. Aside from the glasses, there was nothing about particularly notable about the otherwise inconspicuous insurgent.
Hmmm. He seems a little familiar. Maybe he was on the train before all this started? Probing her mind of answers, the vampire squid mermaid squinted through her own spectacles, attempting to focus on every minor detail in hopes that they would help to identify the subject. By now, the look of the revolutionary's face had switched from one of pride determination to one of unflattering aggravation. Brow furrowed and teeth gritted, despite his attempts at trying to look menacing, all the curious chemist did was glide towards him for a better look. Picking out finer details in an illuminated environment, even with the assistance of her glasses, was not one of her specialities.
"Hmph! I am Chuubosu, Lieutenant in the Revolutionary Army and second in command..." As 'Chuubosu' began his introduction, which then trailed off into a glory speech about the revolutionaries themselves, the puzzling practitioner continued her mental search. At least now she possessed a keyword of sorts, which would possibly help filter out the correct information.
Chuubosu? Chuubosu... I've definitely heard that name before. Recently, too! Was he at Saint Poplar? No, he can't have been. As the lieutenant continued his ramblings about the greatness of the revolutionaries, both the women aboard the battleship were fortunate. For Olivia, she could easily just choose whether or not to 'listen' to his blabbering. Fifi, on the other hand, was practically faking her attentions; reddish eyes stared at the officer, but his ramblings were drowned out by the oceans of her mind.
"...and we will topple the World Government! We will rid the world of their tyranny and bring the people into a new era. One of freedom and equality..." His speech seemingly unending, the marvel that was the mid-boss continued without pause for thought, or even breath for that matter. The words he recited seemed as if they had been written on a script, recited so many times that he effectively an actor on a stage. An impressive feat? Perhaps, if not for the fact that none of his audience really seemed to be appreciating his endeavours.
No, I've definitely heard that name today. Maybe I just overheard it while Samba and I were at the Sea Train station. Yes, that's probably it. Effectively satisfied with her thoughts, the medicine girl adjusted her positioning to reduce some of the strain on her 'legs'. Her entire mantle shifted beneath her, weight being redistributed amongst muscular limbs, but her upper body itself barely even moving.
"Ahem! We met briefly aboard the Sea Train, where your 'acquaintance' dared to speak against us." His tone now somewhat monotonous, Chuubosu now effectively depicted his lack of breath, his face a faint shade of purple after a pointless bombardment of indoctrinated words. One thing was for certain, he had an impressive set of lungs on him.
"Oh! Wait! Now I remember you!" Now able to place him, the vampire squid mermaid clapped her hands together and smiled. However, Chuubosu clearly did not comprehend her satisfaction and merely sighed before drawing his sword. Ffion's own smile was, in response, replaced by a frown. The sooner this was over, the better. Glancing over to Olivia, she knew that the wounds of the bride needed to be treated sooner rather than later. Still, she had disabled pretty much every soldier on board by now, and that was a plus.
"I didn't wish for any casualties, but if you are obstructing our cause, then so be it!" Charging forwards, both hands upon the hilt of the weapon, the lieutenant rushed at the many-legged maiden. Shuffling back, she prepared herself to respond to his attack. Within a yard of her, however, the revolutionary tripped upon the leg of one of his fallen comrades, dropping his blade as he hurtled towards the pink-haired pacifist. Slipping to the side to avoid a collision, the mermaid watched helplessly as the 'superior officer' greeted the deck of the vessel with his head.
Is he okay? Shuffling over to the face down 'foe', Miss van Pierre squatted and nudged him. No response. Rolling his body over and onto his back, the vampire squid mermaid was actually quite astonished at what she saw. Chuubosu's display of acrobatics had backfired, the impact having knocked him out cold. Well, at least he'll be alright. He may have a headache when he wakes up, though...
